Hurricane "Jimena" misses Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Mango Deck replied to marcoloscabos's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Hi Marco, and everyone in this forum. Like every year, we are "starting" our hurricane season (for us it starts during August thru September), most of them miss us just like Jimena did, but, most importantly..News and Media in general, most of the times makes a big deal out of any situation "no nasty news, no sells", but still, we're all standing, everyone is safe and sound... Good day everyone. PS.- We're good to go guy; so, if you're in Cabo and wish to enjoy this magnificent weather along with an awesome view of the bay... How you gonna cal?? Ghostbusters!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... -
Hi There. There are so many really good WC in Cabo for you to choose. I've worked with Varinia from Allure Event Designs, and she is really good; I've also worked with Adriana, from BBW, and she does an exceptional work, she has a lot of experience and she's a hard working girl. You can check they're websites here: Allure : Event Design Beautiful Baja Weddings, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, professional destination wedding coordination, event planning I can vouch for both of them, they're prompt to answer, very organized, they have really good ideas that can help you out. Ps.- They girls at BBW are also, budget friendly... (I Forgot to tell you that). Happy planning and Good Luck

What's your favorite restaurant in Cabo?
Mango Deck replied to saltocoach's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
After a lot of thinking... Mango Deck..LOL There's a little restaurant, down town called ALCARAVEA... Just great, the food is being prepared right there and it has an excellent ambience -
Hi Melinda As far as I know, RIU does not allowed outside vendors, but Mango productions are good and I imagine that they must have some packages that would be cheaper than the hourly rate. If you want to try some other photog, you may want to check Tomas Barron, he does an awesome job and, I think, he might be on your price range. Tomas Barron - Pro Photo Video this is His web site.

Hi Lisa. I know in the rules of this forum states that, if you don't have nothing nice to say about someone, just don't say anything... But, although what's happening to youis awful, it definitely is not a surprise, at least to me... Here's why, I've heard bad stories from brides & customers, also I witnessed an outside WC, being treated like crap, just because she used to work with them and quit. Yes, RIU is a cheaper AI, but not always less is more. I hate to say this, and I definitely wish that Riu's GM proves me wrong, but, I can honestly say, with only an inch of doubt, that they will NOT honor the past mails, it's a really wierd company and they're flaky on all the areas and to the town in general. Like I said, I wish they prove wrong, becasue you don't deserve this and I hope that everything works out for the best. Best Wishes

Hi. There are some really good wine stores here, depending on waht kind of wine are you looking for. La Europea ECM de Mexico Tutto Bene The first two sell wine from almost all over the world and Tutto Bene is more southamerican wines, Argentina, Chile and some Mexican wine. Some good wines are, Yellowtail from Aussie, Monte Xanic from Mexico... You might be able to find some French, Spanish, Italian, South African and German wines also at La Europea.

Hey Sara Both resorts are great. Personally, I would go with One & Only, I know it's kinda pricey, but if you're already looking between Dreams and O&O, for your wedding day, Palmilla will make it unique, their service, quality and all the perls of having a resort that is used by so many celebrities... I wouldn't even think about it, hell, I'll even invite the celebs...LOL

Hi Actually, you CAN bring your bouquett to the US, you don't need to hide it or anything, but you might want to keep it in your luggage, not carry on, and find something to keep it safe from getting smashed. The main reason why customs don't let you bring some stuff over to Mexico or USA, is pollution or insects that might be on the flowers, fruits, etc... in this case, the flowers are already dead, sounds nasty but it is, it takes days for a flower to loose its beauty, but since they've been cleaned, used, put on water, stay out in the sun, all the bugs fly out of it, since they need fresh flowers to stay alive. You might find a cardbox or talk with your WC or FLorist to arrange a box in order to take your flowers with you. Usually, most brides take their flowers with them, and up to this day, there's never been any trouble with the flowers. Hope this helps. Cheers PS.- My FI has been a WC to over 300 brides, and none of them have ever complained about this issue

Hi I don't know how "girlie" this suggestion are but, anyways, here they go... You can try swiming with dolphins, at cabo dolphins If you like sailing, there 2 America's Cup sailboats, that I've heard it's fun Go on tour to Candelaria, is a little 100% local comunity, with some fantastic handcrafts that you can buy, and learn a little about the real local history. If you're an adrenaline junkie, there's skydiving... AWESOME, you land on the beach... Or like some of the ladies said, go to Mango Deck or The Office, they're both nice places right next to each other, but totally different from one another... Cheers

AHH! I really need to vent...(long)
Mango Deck replied to AlmostaSeif's topic in Just venting or funnies
Hi... Feel free to vent, we all do it at some point... It's sad enought to find out that the videographer you wanted was booked, and to add insult to injury, you find out about your FI's parents arguing about that I have to say, just like anyone here, it's not THEIR wedding, it's yours, that day it's all about you, she wants her son to go along?, pay up momma, money just don't go knocking on doors. I imagine that the list you have it's for closest relatives, friends and people you love; I might sound like a jerk, but, you don't NEED to love his stepmom's kid. Anyways, I'm sure it'll workout for good, and about the videographer, I have a friend that filmed a wedding I attended to in October, and he was great. He has a full HD camera, doesn't get in the way of the wedding, and he has fun filming it. I can't recall the price, but if you're interested, PM and I'll ask him if he's available and send you His contact info. Cheers -
For what I've read they're the same... And to avoid any other trouble, we're not related...LOL... I've had my share of miss directed Pm's

local Cabo Officiant? recommendations?
Mango Deck replied to kdemaray's topic in Cabo Wedding Vendors
Hi Zethers... I've seen him work and let me tell you, He's great too, definetely an excellent option if you can't book Marco. It's like a blood thing, they're both great at their work; after all, they're brothers, so you might expect Him to be as good as Marco. If you decide to book Jorge, rest assured that you wont be disappointed. Cheers -
You might want to check Tomas Barron, he's great and he like to negotiate and compromise... Tomas Barron - Pro Photo Video

Hi I would aske the same as Tammy did... Why didn't the outside WC help you out... Anyways, I'm not taking sides here, but that's one of the sooooo many reasons why brides choose an outside WC. The hotel's WC are planning the weddings of, not only two or three, but I've seen WC's make it through a day of 4 weddings, and it does take a huge toll on them, so, for many brides it's easier to talk with an OWC and using he HWC just to make sure things go well int he resort

Mango Deck replied to boston_012's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Hi there... You can also check Tomas Barron's site... I saw him shotting a session at Sheraton and He's great; the way he interacts with the couple, you can see He loves his work and he's got an awesome price range. Great work Great pics Amazing quality Excellent pricing.... -
Hi Sita... Tough luck finding out about RIU, but the ladies in this forum have given you very good advise. Dreams is a wonderful place, Melia Cabo Real (the one in the corridor) is also a great place to get married. I can't remember if Cabo Azul is AI, but it has an amazing chappel (NR), and has a wonderful view. So, good luck in your search.

Non-Mexican photographer is illegal??
Mango Deck replied to Jess's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Hi there In this case, it IS illegal, is like a mexican photographer going to the US to work. But it's doable, some resorts ask you to have the Photographer staying with them because, sometimes, they have their own guy doing the photo session. WHat the WC told you is, at some point true. The government IF they find out, has to go through a very long process, and they would they won't cancel the wedding since the only person that is breaking the law is the photographer, but in order for the government to find out, they would have to be warned ahead of time and given the exact, date, hour and location. Also, there is a the option of filling the permit at the airport, like a "day pass" and with that you're safe on that issue. -
Hi Sabrina. The resorts at the Touristic Corridor have a great view, I've attended some weddings at Sheraton HDM, Melia Cabo Real and Hilton. They were all great, the views, the food were stunning... THe corridor is one of the best options for your WD.

Hi Michelle COngratulation on your engagement!!!!!!!! Cabo is such a wonderful place to have a DW, it has some interesting magic to it. The mixture of the deep blue ocean crashing into the desert is something so magnificent; and if you add the greens of the so many golf courses, the light of the night life and the relaxed but entertain¡ng ambience of the locals; it's like living in a parallel universe. You made an excellent choise with Cabo. Now, let the fun begin.... Happy planning
