OMG Bree I love it! The have convinced me to do the EDR I feel better with my choice! Your ceremony and reception seem exactly what I am looking for. Cant wait for your review and I can ask all my questions after TEE HEE LOVE IT You have every reason to be happy! Amazing photos and it looked like an AMAZING wedding! Can you comment on 1) the beach and 2) the night life. OH I love that your family went in the pool in the end! LOL

I vote its worth it to hire someone else for photos For me - many family members cant come to the wedding so having good photos to share with them is important to me. I have this: Building your Wedding - Weddings in Cancun & Riviera Maya Which is where you can choose different cakes, flowers etc. for planning. Im sure you all have it But I wanted to include it for EDR brides planning their weddings.

Hey I am thinking about changing because of all the small/hidden fees ... with outside photographers, outside vendors etc. Also, that they don't really offer private receptions. I really want a reception on the beach for a private dinner followed by a dance, with a DJ etc. The big thing is all the small, hidden fees. That and I am feeling REALLY discouraged about 1) the beach sucks and I like the beach 2) there isn't any nightlife close by or on the grounds for our single guests. I don't know I'm just second guessing and feeling really discouraged! HELP!

I have been searching too and nothing I can hardly find much on the RPDC in the first place!

HEY! So, as many of you know. I am thinking of changing from EDR as they are being ... hmm, how do I say .... difficult ! hahaha. Looking for a new resort, and have the Royal Playa Del Carmen in mind. Can you sugges tother ones to look into and price out. What we want: -About 50 people comming. -We like adults only but are open. -Food is important to us. Good food, options. -Beach is important, I like a good beach! -Nightlife is sort of important, at least at a location we can get to some bars, as I know our single guest might go out a night or two to some local bars. I just want a pretty place that is a good price or has good wedding packages. I have hired an outside photographer and want to stick with her (claudia) .... We want a beach reception with a good party/dancing etc to follow. Anyone?!

I saw yes Its beautiful It is so warm - average 27 degrees if it does rain its for 10 minutes! I like that its not sweltering like +32 or more, when wearing a wedding dress, thats a big fator! I chose Nov as it was better for us, but Oct would be great too! And .... its not too close to Xmas! Which I love ..... my guests felt Nov was getting close and money would be tight.

Those are both adult places I think an all ages one that has a nice one is one of the Riu, but I dont know which one.

El Dorado has nice ones and Playa Del Carmen has a nice one.

We have some 20 - something singles comming to the wedding who want to hit up bars like Senior Frogs and Coco Bongo Are these in PCD or Cancun? How far apart are these two cities for that matter? We are changing from ElDorado Royale to likely Royal in Playa del Carmen in hopes it will be in walking distance to nightlife for some guests. . . . Eden

im in the process of changing my wedding from EDR to Royal in Playa del Carmen ... It looks awesome EDR would make a nice honeymoon spot though

How far is it to get to places like co co bongo and senior frogs from EDR? I cant seem to find this. I know lots of our guests will want to go (and we might make a group trip in to party the night before the wedding, hahaha)

Brigopens Thanks for the reply it was helpful and has helped to put me at ease!!!!! You had a DJ?! Can you tell me more! My DH really loves music and wants our reception to have dancing and djing and good music, good party. Any tips - how, where etc?!
