Oh wow In vegas the sky is the limit I went for FH's b-day this year and we lived the high life (and it cost a fortune) hahaha I would say : NINE in the PALMS HOTEL The decor is SO classy - all white and beautiful. I felt like a Celeb there. BEST FOOD EVER! Best steak of my life! I LOVED IT It was about $100 for the both of us (with our drinks) which I dont think is bad. I WISH i could go back the other place I really enjoyed was Fix in Belagio But it felt like you were in a hotel Really unique, good food - more burgers and things though ... again about $100 for the two of us (and I had lobster) hahaha. If I got married in Vegas (which I wanted to but FH said no at the time ... we werent even engaged yet so can I blame him) I would choose NINE hands down.

Maybe a dumb question Do you book your things in advance (ceremoney site, reception site, flowers, cake, decoration, meals/menus) etc.... or when you get there? Thanks Also - I read they will make you menus once you have your selection chosen, is this correct? I was thinking of taking fans, name cards, name card holders, menus, programs, and votices for decor .... any other suggestions?!

Why El Dorado Seaside and not El Dorado Royale? just curious

So you all know I have been doubting EDR for a while and mow FMIL is saying "we are beach people, and the beach sucks" ... ugh! Why not speak up before! Ok - thats my rant! hahahahaha So I talked to my travel agent, and asked: Are tehre any other adult only places in our price range. I cant ask the guests to pay more - 40 have already booked (put down deposit) He (TA) said, if we change resorts they dont lose any money, but he said: THERE ARE NO OTHER ADULT ONLY ALL INCLUSIVES FOR OUR PRICE! I just cant believe that. Our guests paid $2055 from Calgary for next Nov 22-29. AND there is nothing in that range?? hmmmmmm is that right?

My mom has Addisons Disease and she is coming for the most part if she just takes her meds she is great! Sometimes if she is in the heat too long she gets a bit flu ish like, but she says: thats what the air conditioned rooms are for Should be fine! PS - she has it BAD! She almost died once ... so truly, rest assured, it should be fine

Just a heads up El Dorado (royale and seaside) charge for outside vendors I saw you asked about photographers. I would hire locally from off site, but thats becuase pictures are very important to me. However, just know they will change you a $500 fee for any outside vendors.

I wanted lots of options for my guests - room classes, food, drinks etc. I felt EDR had that more then EDSS The size at EDR allows more wedding options too then EDSS! I also wanted to allow people to have their own vacation and the whole week notto be about the wedding. ERD is bigger so people can move around. If we did EDSS we would take up the whole resort!!! hahaha. We have lots of friends comming (20-30's) and wanted some night life - EDSS has none! EDR has a bit, not a lot either, but is closer to PDC then EDSS and as such, cabs would be cheaper etc. EDR looks amazing! The only thing that was deterring me from EDR was the beach. EDR has the sand bags ... However, I have been assured 1) it is a large beach and NOT all of it has the bags, 2) that it is still very swimable and you can snorkel etc 3) that the bags are actually nice as they break the big waves and in turn allow for more swimable days I also think - less attraction to the beach means less people in bikinis in the background to my pictures!!! tee hee.

I think there is a different feel between an all ages and an adult only EDR is adult only Princess is all ages I chose EDR I have been very worried about the beach , but have been reassured by many that its swimable and there are some really nice spots!
