You're so fortunate to have had Sol photography - I love their work, too!! Nolaroy - don't worry about the hair and make-up. I, too, was worried and didn't have any type of a make-up and hair trial, but it turned out PERFECTLY on my big day there, too. Welcome back! How did everything go? I can't wait to hear about it.
  6. I have found that it is cheaper not to negoiate a group rate. There are so many sales that go on throughout the year that most people can find a better rate on their own.

A private cocktail pary was held there (Gaviotas) a few days ago, and since the Hotel was fully booked, clients that were making a little time in between a drink and dinner took over Gaviotas ( a group of 15 people that weren't invited to the cocktail) this was very uncomfortable for group guests paying extra to have this cocktail at Gaviotas, but as you know Gaviotas is not fully closed just for your event, but other guests can take the seats on the left side of the bar, and have drinks even standing up. The Hotel has built an Sky Palapa, is located next door from Gaviotas, this will be a Fully Private Cocktail event, with bar set up, and the same breathtaking ocean view as in Gaviotas. This was we will be able to not interrupt your cocktail party and have enough privacy for your event. The location is beautiful and I'm sure you will enjoy it very much. These are over by the Casitas the opposite end of the resort from Gazebo 55. They are nice but I would think they are small. This is where they give massages from the Spa. Cocktail parties should be fine as long as it is not a big group.
  8. Good luck and hurry home with plenty of details. I am sure you are going to have a wonderful time, have fun!

I know there are so many of us going soon, Mrs V to be J Wolfe - (if not already gone) Mandy & her fab mum Shannon MaggieMaylou (If I remember correctly) CT Petch So I thought it might be nice to tell each other how excited we all are, I know I am and it will be totally fab when we get out there and so many of us I think will literally bump into each other!! So tell me some good stuff, how excited are you for your DW? Me xx Don't get too upset because most of the negativity comes from people who are not having their wedding there and don't intend on ever going there. Don't let their negativity get you down...I'm not. I am excited for you and all the other girls going there soon. I have to wait awhile....
  10. You can bring outside photographers but for a fee. The policy change is now a $500 fee plus a three night stay. They are also requesting the appropriate documentation to comply with Mexican law. As of yet, already booked brides with some prior communication about the previous policy have been working around it. I am not saying don't tell future brides about this policy, I think we do need to ban together to change it. I am not saying Tami (or anyone) has to recommend it to future brides but to say boycott it? I think full disclosure is important. My understanding EDR is not the only resort that has a policy like this. They may be the worst but not the only.
  11. I think this is a little harsh and hurtful. I am getting married at the EDR. Yes, I do not agree with the policy change but I am not looking to change resorts, only change the policy. To put a sticky boycotting the place I am getting married at is hurtful to me. I understand that you are trying to help future brides in their slection but purhaps you can choose a different title. It is a beautiful resort and many brides have had no problems with it.
  12. I am trying to find a pretty necklace that drops down your back but still has beading or a crystal in front. I think they are called lariats. The only ones I have found are with pearls and I only want crystals. I was hoping with everyones wonderful interweb searching skills someone can help me out. Thanks!
  13. Thanks. I am going to check them out....i need to bring sand to the beach.
  14. Are you printing on metallic paper? If it is laser it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe give it a day to dry in between.
