  1. Congratulations Tara and Joe! Enjoy the day:)
  2. I love it all! Wow! You've done so much work and it is all so well thought out. I love the box of props for the photobooth. I can't wait to see your pictures. Have a great trip and congratulations!
  3. Has anyone in Canada managed to find this yet? I've just been through the website guide and this episode is not shown on the MTV Canada site. I can find it on the MTV.com site and the episode is called "Getting Married 2". I've also been through my PVR guide and it's not listed as airing here at all. If someone in Canada finds it can you let us know? Thanks.
  4. Here are our pumkins for this year. I am taking no credit for these. My younger daughter and her boyfriend did them. We got lots of comments on the flower/peace sign/heart one especially from the little kids
  5. Martha! You're home? How did it go? How is Noah? How are you feeling? You can't come back and not give us the details
  6. Welcome to the forum Jamie. Here is a link to my small review of the wedding of my daughter which was at Riu Vallarta in May 2008. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t21027 If you have any questions please ask away and we will try and help you out.
  7. Aww! Celina, everything looks beautiful. I can't believe it's your turn already because it seems like yesterday when I came back from Riu Vallarta. Can't wait to hear all about it and see pictures when you return. (Is it normal for me to feel emotional about this?

I think Carey bar is only not available whilst the Caribe/Beach side is undergoing renovations so they can use it as a restaurant. This bar was closed for reno's the whole week I was there, October 3-10, 2008. But I understand it is open now. The Marina Bar is closed down and they are renovating, it will supposedly reopen as the welcome centre for a new swim with the dolphin program.

It is in stock so they can ship it asap Toys"R"Us - Snoogle Total Body Pillow I would call a store near you to check stock before going there. I checked online at HomeOutfitters, Zellers, Sears, Shoppers, and didn't find much but that doesn't mean they don't have them in store. If I go by any of these stores in my area today after work I'll check it out.

Try WalMart, HomeOutfitters, The Bay, Zellers... I don't know where you are located exactly. Were you looking specifically for someone that delivers in Canada? Are you downtown TO? Let me know roughly where abouts you are and I'll do some research. Sorry you are dealing with this but there is light at the end of the tunnel!

She still went with us to get the dress fitted and paid for it even knowing she would probably never wear it. She had taken an exam to become a CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and failed it. She found out that the retake was the week after we were returning from Mexico. She couldn't afford to fail the exam because it was tied into her employment. So she stayed home to study and she did pass it the second time However, she was a part of organizing the bachorlorette party. She came to the fittings and paid for the dress as if she were still going. And then she wrote a note, that she gave to my younger daughter, to be taken to Mexico and given to Katie the morning of the wedding. And then she called me, right after her exam on the Monday (We returned from Mexico early Saturday morning but Katie stayed another week) to come over and see pictures and to hear all about the wedding! I think I better let Katie know how much she should appreciate B
  12. You looked beautiful! Your mom's waist is so tiny! Congratulations and I can't wait to see more pictures!
  13. Yikes indeed But it sounds like you are ready and organized.

(BTW, have you already ordered the book from snapfish? shutterflys quality is a lot better) I don't do a specific margin. i just don't put text near the edge. I usually aim for 1/2 inch around the edges, but sometimes I get as close as 1.4 inch. I did have some things get cropped in my last book. nothing bad. I need to see what margins I used there. when i first made the books using lumapix, I allowed more space for the margin that was in the binding. it took more time so i stopped doing that. I think there are oval frames. I haven't done it, but i'm pretty sure there is an option for making different shapes in lumpix. Hi Morgan, I ordered from Shutterfly. I designed and ordered a 11x8.5 book as a trial. I didn't put text too close to the margin but I did put a few people too close and they got cut in half or squished into the binding So I went back and made changes, deleted some pages, added some more, and had three copies printed (Shutterfly again). I got them last week and they look great to me. I'm sure a professional could find lots of mistakes (even I can see some things that aren't quite right) but everyone whose seen the trial version was very impressed. I didn't do any oval pictures because I couldn't figure out how to. One thing I did do that was a mistake (and I only mention this for any future people reading this thread), when I went to order the trial 11x8.5 I got a message that said would I also like to order a 5x7 version, so I went ahead and did it. As soon as I received it I realised it was a mistake. It is not the same proportions so lots of pictures were cropped and I got some missing heads or feet etc. I really didn't mind because I looked on that whole first order as a trial as I really had no idea what to expect having never seen a photobook before. Again thanks for all the help and advice because I never would have even thought about a photobook if it wasn't for this forum.
  15. I joined as a mother of the bride for my daughter's wedding last May. My daughter was already living with her FI when they got engaged so he was part of the planning process too. We all sat down together and decided on a destination wedding. Then they chose a resort and he made all the arrangements with the travel agent, mainly because he works in the same building so could drop in when he needed information or just to see how things were going. The three of us designed and put together a combination engagement party invite (that my husband and I hosted), wedding invite and travel arrangements. I know this combination wouldn't have been my first choice but it was what they wanted to do. I did the OOT bags but Katie designed the logo and gave approval to all my purchases (bags, mugs, pashminas, candles, etc.) and I suspect everything was run by her FI Katie for the most part was pretty laid back about the details, maybe because she just didn't have time, but more likely because she's not a detail oriented person. She let the resort take care of everything and just went with the flow once she got there. There were a few things I suggested but they just weren't part of their plan so I sat back, took deep breaths, and let them do it there way. Good luck with the planning and welcome to the forum.
  16. Looks like a fun night Celina! Not long to go now!

I know that I have to do something with our photo's eventually. It's such a daunting task and I'm seriously procrastinating on this one.
  18. Thanks so much for posting this. I have so many photographs going back over 30 years or more and many of them are in albums in chronological order, only thing is I started before acid free or archival paper were readily available. Many of my photo's including my own wedding ones are yellowing already. I figured at some point I would have to go through them all and scan some of the important ones. What I could do now is select a combination of negatives and photos and send them all in, or even send the whole album. Still a daunting task to go through the boxes of negatives I have and the over 20 albums with 400 photo's in each . . .
  19. Congratulations Leia and John. All the best!
  20. Martha, I'm wishing you all the best for next week when Noah will be born. Can't wait to see pictures and hear all about it when you are feeling up to it. Take care!
