We are the only ones from both sides of our families in Canada, although my Dad is in the USA now. We moved because my husband was offered a job and we figured why not try it? I was three months pregnant when we moved and we arrived in January. We lived in a hotel for a couple of months whilst we found somewhere to live, a car to drive, got appropriate clothing etc. All we had with us was clothes although we did have a few bits and pieces shipped. We had to buy furniture and appliances once we got the house, but the company my husband was working for helped us out with lots of stuff. It's been an adventure but there isn't too much I'd change!

If you want me to go to the store and check something out for you let me know.

Welcome to the forum Nelly! Use the search function to help you gather information! Good luck with the planning.
  18. Ana, thanks for giving us a glimpse of what looks like a very fun wedding! What a great time you all seemed to have had. Thanks for the great review and I can't wait to see the professional pictures! Congratulations!
  19. My younger daughter is interviewing for internships at the moment, and as part of the course she is doing they have prepared them for interviews, including checking out their clothing. She has a presentation today and then an interview so she is wearing a black pant suit, with a shirt (pink and white stripes) which is like a mans shirt but with a ruffle in the front (she has the skirt too, and has worn that with black tights and black shoes), and black dress shoes. She is also wearing a dress coat over the top but we live in Canada and it's still chilly I think it's acceptable these days for women to wear a pants suit instead of a skirt.
  20. Thanks for your review and I'd love to see some photo's when you get them. Congratulations on your wedding!
  21. I would definately use a travel agent just because it is so much easier to have someone else to make all the arrangements and to answer all the questions your guests may have. I would contact one of the travel agents from this forum (see the banner at the top, contact TALinsay as she is the Canadian Travel Agent). Here is a link to the thread started by Raeka http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t10845 Also here are a number of threads on the Riu Vallarta and if you go to the search feature near the top of the screen you can search the forum for relevant information.
  22. I'd feel honoured if they chose it and knew that it was also my anniversary.
