that sucks you drove 2 hrs to BM and they didnt have what you specifically asked for over the phone. that was a total waste of a day for you. Car i'm glad everything went so great. I love my Lasik and i have never regretted getting it done for one second, not even the seconds it took me to write the check to pay it off. lol

Some people think they need to give you an opinion on everything and how you raise your child is none of their business. I work and like trish said, I think its better for me and my son’s relationship. I’m a better mom for it and I do think he gets a lot from being at daycare. Some people are terrific stay at home moms but I wasn’t one of them. Shea I love Mya. I like how Jada and Mya sound together. Are you going to wait till she’s born this way you can see what name feels right? Update on me. Gavin was born on Feb 28th. I ended up having to get a csection which sucked but I didn’t have a choice. But it all ended up being worth it. I love Gavin to bits. Hey girls havent been on here in forever. I get emails with updates so i do lurk but never get a chance to comment. Let me know how you girls make out on your dress hunts. My younger sister is getting married, not decided on a date but i figured i'd make a list of different dress places she can check out. I feel great. I know i'm lucky because i really havent had any complications. Just small stuff like heartburn, swelling, insomnia, cant tie my shoes, etc. nothing major. that's why i want him to be late. Stacey, Yes its a boy and his name will be Gavin, Gavin Patrick Kenney. the rocker is super comfy, i didnt want to get out of it after Der set it up.

My SIL bought our bedding and dropped it off on New Years I havent put it together yet though. I love Pen's crying pic. that's just so darn cute. Terra my nephew came to my wedding he was 14 mos old at the time. the resort provided a crib. they did have a little bit of a hard time trying to get him to sleep with them in the room. But what they eventually started to do was when they put him to bed they would go out on the patio close the curtains so he couldnt see them and wait maybe a half hour to an hour until he fell asleep. they would have a couple of drinks out there while waiting. they did have my il's to babysit so they could go out for dinner by themselves a few times or hang out late. it worked out pretty good for them. they were really worried about the plane ride. you didnt mention it in your post but just in case your concerned what really helped them is bringing a portable DVD player, the flight was about 4 hours long and my nephew was so into his shows that he didnt make a peep the whole time.

i have the hands free system built into my car so i never needed to get seperate bluetooth. I dont have any recommendations but it is nice to be able to answer the phone through your car and not worry about getting pulled over by a cop.

She sounds super annoying. Good for your FIL for telling her to shut up, that was awesome. Unfortunately she's going to be your MIL for the rest of your live so your better off just ignoring her. And if i were you I'd NEVER bring up wedding plans in front of her. If she's going to be really opinionated about everything, in not a positive way than you dont need her help with the planning and i wouldnt even describe what your dress looks like or any other details. I would just say things like "oh its a surprise till my wedding day. i want everyone to see it for the first time as i walk down the isle" that kind of thing. or if she asks about stuff i would try the no comment approach like "i'm not sure what we are going to do. i have to think about it." Avoid wedding talk as much as possible. The less she knows the less she can comment on. If she isnt paying for anything than you really dont need to discuss it with her. Itd be nice if she was cool and you could have her join in on the wedding planning fun but if she's going to be a PITA than leave her out. I'm so thankful that my ILs were not like this. They were always like "whatever Danielle wants. she's the bride" and very positive about everything. I'm sure it helped that their daughter had a DW too. And i'm sure your MIL has probably never been to a DW and your the one whose probably doing a lot of research and seeing what ideas other girls have. She has no idea how special having a DW can be, she's stuck in a big wedding at home mindset. Which is great for some people but not you. She'll get over that. And your going to hear that from a lot of people "why are you having a DW? why cant you just get married at home?" just say "that's not what i want" and ignore and ignore. goodluck

Jen I think you should leave your dress as is. Its gorgeous the way it is. Why spend money to fix something that aint broke. Plus god forbid something goes wrong when they alter it to become a corset. Just leave it.

I'd have to say Mickey's. I just remember always watching that one right before xmas when i was growing up. So that one stands out to me. Ive only seen the muppet one like once and dont really remember it. i'll have to look for it on tv this year.

Gotta love when people just invite themselves to a wedding. You really need to sit your FI down and tell him to stop inviting people, maybe give him some of examples of what he can say to people when they ask like "Sorry we really wanted a small wedding so we had to limit the invites." or "we had a small budget". Maybe if he knows what to say when people ask he wont just blurt out "i'll have my fi email you the booking details". Now you cant stop people from going to Mexico but you can keep them from being invited to the wedding activities. I think people just assume since your having a wedding at an AI than your reception is free which is not the case. Hopefully the resort your getting married at is pretty big and has a lot of pools and a long beach, maybe you wont run into all of his crazy friends that much. Lastly maybe these people wont end up booking. The economy is pretty bad right now and its Christmas time so maybe they wont have the extra money for a Mexican vacay. Goodluck.

Could you change months so its not a full year more of a wait? Maybe do a yr and a half out, instead of 2yrs. It does suck but i guess you have to try to look on the bright side you get another year of saving and another year to plan.
