Thanks girls. Kelly that's awesome about your test results. What a relief! Those tests are so scarey, i'm not looking forward to them. Mrs. Martin I think waiting till your test results is a good thing, why worry yourself more than you already are.

Timing couldn't be worse... or better??
DanielleNDerek replied to Chanti's topic in Just venting or funnies
Wow your outlook is great. This sounds like a good thing. I hope he finds something better or goes back to school whichever you guys decide. And i hope you get your dream job! goodluck -
They were my wedding photogs. When i first contacted them they did get back to me asap. but a few months later when it was wedding season it did take them about a week to get back to me. But if its been a few weeks that seems really long. Are you emailing them or calling? I used this email [email protected]

I told DH he has to have his first serious pep-talk with our child; spread 'em wide for mommy and daddy to see if mommy's intuition is right! LOL I have put on about 6 lbs and am keeping to a pretty active workout regiment. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep it going as long as possible. I'm also thinking of signing up for prenatal yoga classes but, haven't gotten around to that yet. I finally started showing a little but I'm still very small for 19 weeks; I'll post a pic later (dont have it here at work). Oh and I've been feeling movement since 16 weeks. Got kicked a lot the one day and have been feeling slight movement about once a day since. Baby seems to really like the cat and kicks every time he comes to sit on my lap:) Very cute! Your doing great. I'm proud of you staying active. I need to follow your lead. After i got home from the wedding i started eating all the stuff i didnt let myself eat for 6 months and i still havent stopped. I need to get a grip! How did you all feel about it? I feel the same way about having sex during the first trimester. i've been a nervous wreck about doing so many things. I know it cant hurt the baby but still it just doesnt seem right. Maybe i'm just not in the mood yet. We havent had sex yet, we've done some other things but i think i will feel the same way you did (thinking about the baby the whole time). hopefully things will get better in the second trimester. So here's my update. i had my first ultra sound last Thursday but they were unable to see the baby. The u/s tech said i'm only 51/2 weeks not the 71/2 the doc thought i was. So now i had blood tests done yesterday and i will have another one done 2morrow to check my hcg levels and than i have to go back and get another u/s in a few weeks when i should be 71/2 weeks. Did this happen to anyone else?

This made me a bit nervous, but Severine assured me that my date and time are reserved. I was really nervous about the deposit thing too but dont worry about it. I dont think i handed mine in until about a month before the wedding, that's when she finally asked for it. -
Wow that's unbelievable. Great story. Now did you kick the a$$ of the guy who took your key and never gave it back?

DanielleNDerek replied to Detroitbride's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives

Say mom "I dont want you to walk me down the isle because i really want you to *insert her special thing*?" now you gotta come up with something. how about if you have her walk your son down the isle? -
Danelle I think the middle name Maya for a girl would be so sweet. And her middlename would mean something.

I would sit down and have a long talk. I think it helps if you can show them pics of other girls weddings on here. Some of the pics are so gorgeous its hard to argue with them. And if you have info on how much a wedding costs near you definately throw that info at them, the cost of a local wedding in NJ is crazy i'm sure DC is too. my wedding was in the DR was at least 1/3 cheaper. And make sure you let them know it's your wedding day and its really the wedding that you dreamed of and you want to remember how happy you were on your wedding day. Goodluck!

I got a bunch of sets for my family at kohls last christmas. They have really good sales on luggage. I think i bought samsonite for my parents and American tourister for my bro and sis.

I missed the first couple of minutes so i guess they didnt come flat out and say that Blair slept with the uncle. Cant wait to see if they really did next week. And yeah that's very creepy, especially when he should be reminded of her age because it was his nephews girlfriend. I mean the girls do act so much older, they are always having martinis at bars that sort of thing. I forget how old they are sometimes until i see them in their school unis.

Dominican Cost Comparison
DanielleNDerek replied to mimosa123's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
Yeah I would. I was friends with my TA before i booked with her. So i had no probs with her at all. There are some good TA's on the forum too if your shopping around for one. -
Dominican Cost Comparison
DanielleNDerek replied to mimosa123's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
I think it really depends if you can get a special group rate or deal from your ta or the resort. when i was looking Palma Real was the most expensive but than we ended up getting a sales special through our TA, i think it was just lucky timing. So it ended up being better or just as much as some of the other resort you mentioned. When i was looking the Majestic Colonial was the lowest priced resort. I dont think the Majestic Elegance was even open then. -
Photo Souvenir Reviews?
DanielleNDerek replied to SunnyCherries's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
I used them and loved them. I had Severine as my photographer and she was extremely easy to work with. Best decision i ever made! highly recommend them. the only time they were a little slow to respond to my emails was during wedding season. they would get back to me but it would take a few extra days then. but it really wasnt a big deal at all. I think all vendors are extremely swamped during that time. -

Trying to choose a new Resort
DanielleNDerek replied to LisaB's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
There are a lot of girls that were married at Dreams in PC and had a good experience but i can understand why you would be a little turned off now. I got married at the Paradisus Palma Real and had a really great time (all my guests did), if your interested in that resort and have questions you can pm me. I would go to the wedding review section and look through all the resorts you are interested in. There should be a lot for the Paradisus Punta Cana, a couple for the Palma Real, there are def a lot of dreams ones on there, Debs was married at Ocean Blue and has her review on here, etc. check them all out and see which peek your interest. I'm sure you'll find exactly what you are looking for. And you really do have plenty of time. Once you choose a resort definately reserve your date asap. I know the paradisus resorts only do one wedding a day so their dates book up fast and i'm sure there are other resorts that are the same. Goodluck!
