So my brother's girlfriend found out she's pregnant. Which is great...but they might not come to my wedding now. the baby is dune in June my wedding is in November so I can't blame them if they don't want to fly with the baby. My brother is trying to convince her to let him go for just a couple of days, if she's doesn't want to go. But she doesn't want him to go. Now I don't have kids, so I might have no reason to be upset. But I don't see why he can't just come for three days so he can see me and get married. I really want my brother to come so he can be a part of my wedding ceremony and be in my wedding pictures. I'm trying not to get upset, until he tells me he definately won't be coming...but i've already had a couple of crying sessions over it. Would never tell him that though. I think i'm just being a baby.

I'm getting married in Punta Cana too! I was thinking about doing the same thing because I would feel guilty about doing the legal thing before the ceremony. I've been trying to convince myself, that I won't consider it my marriage ceremony but more of like getting my license. But I still feel weird about already being married before going to the Punta Cana. I'm not sure what I'm doing, a civil ceremony in DR or symbolic. I'm glad you asked this questions, can't wait to see everyone's answers.

I'm not planning on registering for fine china. But my family never really had fancy dinners, so I don't think i'll ever need them. If you think you may use them, than keep them and get more. But if you don't think you will, I would return them and get something that you really want and can use!

Okay, so after looking yesterday for hrs at posts with people's invites. I thought I start this post so people can list the webiste or shop where they bought their invitations. Making it easier for everyone to find. I think I might do this for OOT totes too. I know I'm lazy!

So now that we are wedding planning, me and fi always talk about what are dogs would be like when we have kids. My one dog, male, is in complete love with me. He gets jealous if when me and fi sit together. He plops himself right between us. Which at the time we think is cute, but he is being way overprotective. He's very sweet, happy dog and would never hurt anyone (on purpose) but I think we might have to contact Dawn before we have kids. I'm afraid his feelings would be hurt, if he doesn't get enough attention. When we got my second dog, you could tell he was a little upset with me because for a good two months he didn't come up to me nearly as much as he did before. Thanks for Dawn's info, i'm going to hold on to it.

Good question. I'm not sure what I'm doing yet.

My mom is making my jewelry. She found crystal starfish and seashealls. She also found silver pieces shaped like starfish and shells too. I'm not sure which ones i'm going to have her use yet. I have to see them. She orders her beads and crystals online. I can find out the website out for anyone that is interested. I don't know how difficult it is to make the jewelry yourself, my mom actually has a little side business so I'm lucky.

I know FI is having some things made from snapfish for xmas that are gifts to me. He can't keep secrets! I'll have to post them when I get them. But your shutterfly ones are really nice. I can't wait till my nephew is old enough for one of those books. And the funny moments is a really good idea. You did great!

Finally found the recipe I wanted to add. My family makes this for almost every holiday. It's great served with ham but also great by itself. Some even eat it cold with whipped topping. Pineapple Stuffing Ingredients 1 stick of butter, softened 1 cup of sugar 4 eggs 1 can of crushed pineapple (20oz) 5 slices of bread, cut into cubes Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 inch casserole dish. 2. In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together. Beat in eggs, then add pineapple and bread cubes. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Bake covered for first 1/2 hr and uncovered for second 1/2 hr. It should be a golden brown on top.

I live in NJ too. I'm getting married in Punta Cana, Dr a the Paradisus Palma Real. it's about 4.5 hrs away from us. I also went to my fsil wedding in Riviera Maya at the Aventura Spa Palace about year and half ago, it was very nice there. But of course I didn't want to go to the same area. If you need any info let me know.

I don't think that your father is being fair. Especially since you and your fh are trying to reason with him and he just isn't giving an inch. I hope that he comes around and realizes how important it is to you to change your name and how important it is for him to attend your wedding. I'm very sorry for you.

I was just told by Kelly that for a sit down, I would have to pick one salad, entree, and dessert. Which would be really hard since I have a couple of vegetarians in our group. I think I might have to do the buffett or beach grill.

Maura - the trainer is a very good idea. I always thought as trainers being mean and intimidating. but i've never actually had one. i think I just got the idea of them being like that from a Friends episode and it stuck with me. But sounds like the trainer really worked for you 25lbs in 4 months is really good. the junk food in my house is more for my fiancee than me, but I was happy that he actually wants to get rid of it. I've been trying to convince him for the past year that we should really eat better and exercise more. About 3 months I did start eating a lot healthier (the past 3 weeks havent been doing great with the holiday season) and running on the elipitical regularly. But now he kind of just shrugged me off about chaning the way we eat. The first year that we lived together I gained 25lbs. Just from the change in what we have for dinner. He likes things with sauces and extra cheeses. And my mom never cooked like that, my body can't handle all that bad stuff. I have the motivation of looking good in my wedding dress but I really want to change the way we eat and live. Sorry this is so long but i'm excited about it.
