  1. I would buy the shoes. You could try to look and find a pair that's more inexpensive. But if you love them, buy them!
  2. I'm getting married on beach and am probably going to do either flowers or a seashell clip. But i personally don't like veils much.
  3. I like the 2 tier one. But the other is very pretty too. i think 2 tier in champagne would really look great with your gown which is very pretty btw.
  4. Welcome and goodluck with everything! I think you would be fine with May. You may feel a little rushed. The one thing you may have to worry about is getting a certain wedding dress by May. Mexico in May is very nice but very hot!
  5. I voted for the 2nd pair, dr scholls. I love the cork on the bottom
  6. I had my sister MOH try on all of the dresses. She is very skinny, not curvey. I think i'll take my other bridesmaid to try on #1 and #3 and see if she likes them both on, she's more curvy and has a bigger chest. I'm only having 2 bridesmaids. I'm glad that a lot of you have pointed out that the lipstick color which is pinkish might look red in pics. I'm afraid of that.

Good luck chooosing! We ordered the shirts online at Lavahut - Hawaiian Shirts, Dresses, Aloha Clothing and Island Gifts. They are really nice and well made. Not very heavy. They run big if you are going to order any from there.
  8. Can you have others attending check some of your stuff?
  9. I got my envelopes from staples. I sent a letter with my STD magnets, only because i needed to give out the travel agent info and resort info so people could make deposits by a certain date. Otherwise I think the cardstock would be a good idea to attach it to.
  10. I'm having a hard time deciding the color of the dress since I have to get it to go with the groomsmen shirts: Derek's shirt is the same as groosment but white instead of black. If I go with the third dress, it comes in a green shade called clover that I think would go nicely with the shirts. The first and second dress both come in a shade called lipstick. Which is a shade between the two pinkish/rose colors in the groomsmen shirts. It's so hard trying to match the shirt!
  11. Tammy that is a really great idea. Let us know how you decide to do it.
  12. So I looked at bridesmaid dresses and have it narrowed down to three choices. I'm only having two bridesmaids. Let me know which one you like (don't pay attention to the colors): Choice 1: Choice2: Choice 3:
  13. Just learned to post pics. These are my groomsmen shirts: My groom shirt is white with the same flower design:
  14. I think it's okay to do labels. Especially the ones you ordered. Very nice. I think i'll be doing labels.
  15. So I'm not in work out mode yet. But songs that I like to dance to are Justin Timberlake, Lovestoned. And some more of his songs. They are fast paced. I'm also stuck in the '80s and I like jumping around to Go-gos "vacation" and "head over heels". What do you like dancing too?
  16. I like the "Meet the Mr. and Mrs." idea. That's great! Potluck is a great idea too, would be so much easier for me. I have a tendency to go way overboard when making food for parties and planning parties. I think the potluck would keep me from going too crazy!
  17. That poem is great. so funny. That's a great idea if you dont' want to do a cocktail hr.
  18. We are going for the wedding in Punta Cana for 10 days. We'll be there a few days before everyone else to get all the final details set. And than we are going to Hawaii but not till the following year. So it will kind of be a honeymoon/anniversary trip.
  19. So I can't do a AHR because I'm having a reception at the Palma Real. I won't have money to do a whole big reception home. But I would like to do something. I thought about having everyone over my house to see the wedding video and pictures. We could just have appetizers and finger foods. Is that cheesey? Not even sure how many will fit in my little house. Does anyone have any suggestions or did anyone do something like this?
  20. I'm not getting married at the Melia but i'm getting married next door at the Palma Real. My parents stayed at the Melia about 4 years ago. They said the hotel was beautiful. They had no complaints. My mom had lobster two nights in a row. The only weird thing, when they asked for sausage for breakfast one morning, they were served hotdogs. My parents just thought it was funny. That kind of thing is expected when you go away though.
