That's good you got your order. I have a bunch of stuff from OTC, i was surprised with the quality. it was a lot nicer than i though it would be since it's so inexpensive. Cant beat the deals. i have to laugh about the stuff being all over your living room. i have a whole spare room dedicated to wedding stuff.

What a jerk. Hopefully, the guy gets what he deserves. It sucks that he stole your oot stuff but that's easily replaced unlike the cards. At least you have the satisfaction that the idiot will be really dissappointed when he opens up the cards to find there's no money or gift cards in any of them. I'm a firm believer in paybacks, one day he'll get his.

Hi. my first step was looking at hotels through trip advisor. I narrowed it down by all inclusives, kids allowed, how many restuarants. things like that. you should decide what kind of requirements you have. Once you narrow it down to a few resorts than i would see a TA for prices. Goodluck!

I personally think $2200 is reasonable for an AI, especially since airfare is so high now. I mean if i was going on vacay I wouldn't mind paything that much for it. But i know that may seem high to others. Our guests are spending that much to go to our wedding but only a couple of close friends and relatives are going to make it to our wedding (32 total). There were a lot of places that were more reasonabley priced that i thought were as nice or at least comparable to our choice but my fi had some PITA requests (like jacuzzi tubs in everyones rooms). Looking back on everything i wish i would of picked a place slightly cheaper like $2000 pp. i know it's only a couple hundred dollars difference but to a couple, that's $400 different. Agreeing on a resort is the hardest thing you have to do. Don't get me wrong, the rest of the planning isn't all rainbows and sunshine. But the resort choice is just so stressful. I'm sure you could find a resort $2000 or under that's comparable to the one you have chosen. Keep an open mind when looking at resorts. Have you talked to a TA, maybe they can give you some suggestions. I think the suggestion to look into a resort complex like the Ruis or Gran Bahia, that has different priced rooms would be a really great compromise for you guys. Goodluck!

Helicopter ride sounds like a great idea. I'm trying to convince Derek that we shouldn't do gifts but he really wants to. I feel like we already spent a ton of money and i don't really need anything.

How do you get engaged someone that's married? Very strange. Hopefully they're smart enough not to make an engagement announcement at your wedding. That'd be stealing your thunder and not cool. I'm sure in the next couple of months her family will hear about the engagement. Is it definate? How did you find out?

I'm really surprised i didn't breakdown and eat the taco dip. I only stayed for about 2 hrs, i think if i would of stayed any longer i would of just started pigging out. I guess i'm starting to learn my limits and i just try to keep telling myself in my head "what's more important eating this ...taco dip... or looking beautiful on my wedding day and in my bikini."
