Honestly i think that if you did change your destination she still wouldnt go. 1st she complained about the departure date and you moved that and now its just too far. sounds like she's just using the long plane ride as her excuse not to attend. I wouldnt sent up a table. I had a DW and didnt have an AHR. I only had one guest give me a card at the wedding, the rest mailed cards to us after we got home. But i lilke Maureen's idea of designating someone to keep them for you just in case.

I dont remember seeing any when i was searching resorts. The resort casinos are usually very small and not like the ones in the US. We only had a few people gamble while down there.

Too bad you already sent the invites otherwise i would let his side throw their own shower because they are being so difficult. I feel sorry for your friend, she's gotta deal with this for the rest of her life.

TammyB and ~Melissa~ (both on the forum) just shot a wedding together in PC a few weeks ago. I would check them out too. both there pics were amazing.

Cant believe she wont call her family. did you ask for their phone numbers? Not that it wouldnt serve that family right if you did that but you also dont want it to ruin your friend's shower. His family might be the type to make a big deal over something like that, even though its really their faults for not RSVPing. I I like Amarillis' suggestion. Do you have anyone else on his side that's in the bridal party? like does he have a sister or anything that you can designate that as their job. It's pretty crappy if your making the food too, that's a lot of work for people who cant bother to let you know your going.

Savannah does she realize your having a symbolic ceremony? Her response makes it sound like your trying to get legally married in Mexico.

i would ask her fmil to call her family then and she can find out if they are going. You shouldnt have to pay extra $ for people not to show up.
