    Great news that you don't have to pay for their room. But boo to fbil. His excuses are so lame. If he really wanted to go he could just skip aruba this year and go to your wedding. He can always go to Aruba later but he'll never be able to go to your wedding ever again.

    Your cousin must of smoked some good stuff that day. Can she honestly think that you should pay for their trip? Maybe she just said that so you could say no and than she would have an excuse not to go.

    i just checked this post http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...1-6#post410308 looks like someone just got married there in April and there are two girls going in July. I would pm them all. You can find out how the resort and the wedding is from the girl who got married in April. and maybe check if the other girls are having any issues with the planning portion and maybe one of them did a site visit. goodluck.

    I agree with Alyssa put it in writing. A wedding is a life changing event and should rank pretty high for reasons to need off. I think since it's your wedding and your doing it without pay, you should be able to take the days off. did you always have doctor notes for the days you needed off for that?

    so they took your deposit and aren't confirming for two months? WTF they shouldn't take a deposit so early if they dont confirm.

    I agree that it would look weird if he was more dressed up than the groom and i think the pics would look a little weird too. I know when i have to break something gently to my dad, i usually just let my mom do it. I'm a chicken. But if your brave, i would just tell him that although his tux is really nice and he would look great in it, you don't think it would be appropriate for a DW and just suggest he wear a linen or tan suit.

    there are a lot of other great resorts in Punta Cana too so if you feel more comfortable chaning resorts i'm sure you'll find one comparable. I thought Iberostar and Melia Tropical Caribe were similar to Dreams PC. I switched resorts because of bad reviews on trip advisor and i didn't hear back from WC in weeks and i felt so relieved after i switched. I would just look into some other resorts and than way your options.

    I always check tripadvisor too. If its just one random review surrounded by many positive ones i try to ignore it but if it's negative after negative review than i believe them and get nervous. Maybe just keep checking the reviews over the next couple of weeks and talk to some Dreams brides on here.

    great site review. It's never too early to start making some decisions. You will appreciate that you did later. the resort sounds wonderful and its great you were able to do a site review. it definately sounds like you are assured you made the right choice.

    I'm so glad you had a lawyer that made that guy look like an ass in court. Hopefully he feels like such a fool that he won't try to bother you about the fence.

    That's great news Tammy. My sis volunteers for a boston rescue too and she loves it. She lives with my parents so she can't foster but when she moves out she is planning too. Right now she interviews potential adopters to see if they are right for the dogs and does home visits as well. She always tells me stories about puppy mill dogs and it's just awful. Keep up the good work!

    i don't think you can not invite them unless it's what your fi wants. I think if he wants them there and you didn't invite them, he would resent you later. But that being said they have no right to say such horrible things about you. i think your fi has to set them straight and let them if they want to go to the wedding than they have to show you some respect.
