    that was nice of them to give you a refund. I got postcards from them and really like them. But i don't have any postcards from when i've gone away, so i have nothing to compare it to. And i love your siggy that is perfect for a thank you postcard. how did you make it?

    I am so jealous of you. T&C was my first choice of destinations. it looks so beautiful there. We just couldn't find a good deal for our group at the resort i choose. Your wedding is going to be gorgeous, the water is beautiful there.

    Ugh, i have it too. I don't think working out will get rid of all of it. i did see a thing on the news last week about cream that people swore by. it was by bliss, i think it was called fatslim.

    Do you want to get married in the church before? or are you just doing it to appease your fmil? As a Catholic, it might help you later down on the line to be married in church first or to have a blessing done. I know they can sometimes give you a hard time when you have your kids baptised or if you want to be a godparent to someone else's kids. Oh and fi shouldn't have you handle it, it's his mom so that's his job. lol

    they came out great. they are really big too and have a zipper, you got a good price. I had mine done by them too, i was really happy with them also. your guests will love them.

    I would say invite them and i would let them know how greatful you are for all of their help. I was actually having the same convo in my head yesterday about inviting my TA. She's been giving me help with the welcome packets and i know her really well anyway. the only reason why i was thinking not to invite her was that i didnt' want her to get me a gift. So i think i'll just let her know that i don't want any presents.

    i'm sure you'll find a dress that you feel both comfortable in and beautiful. Maybe you should look at some tea-length dresses or just simple gowns.

    i agree with the above poster. i did stadium cups because they are a lot bigger than the little plastic cups the resort gives you. the travel mugs i wanted to get would of cost me like $4 a mug and i didn't want to spend that much. AT first i was a lil bummed that i was doing travel mugs but now I really like the stadium cups and if people didn't use or bring their travel mugs with them i'd prob be a lil pissed that i spent all that money on them.

    I had what most girls just mentioned: -resort info -ta info - ceremony time and reception info -website info - i also included the avg temp for nov high and low for Punta Cana and the reception dress code which was beach formal

    welcome to the forum. i wasn't technically engaged when i started planning my DW either. It's actually good to get a head start esp since DWs are so popular now. Have you thought about what your looking for in a resort/destination (all inclusive, kids allowed, restaurant choices, distance from airport, flight avail and prices, wedding options). that's a good way to narrow down your choices.

    i like lisa's suggestion. it would save your dad from any hearbreak and you would still have your entrance with your fi. I know that my dad is really excited about walking me down the aisle and giving me away. but i've only been out out of the house for about 2 yrs now.
