You just described me and my fi's relationship. He goes to work at 4 am and when he gets home i'm at work. When i get home from work we see each other for about an hr and then he goes upstairs to bed. He's usually half asleep so we don't have any long conversations. I usually dinner by myself. And i don't even bother to ask him to do anything, i got tired of the i don't feel like it right now excuse. I'm getting used to it now. And we make the most of our weekends. I've actually been able to workout more and eat healthier because of it. And when he's upstairs sleeping i've been working on wedding projects. I'm hoping his work hires him some help so he can go back on a normal schedule. It must be hard having your summer off and him having to work such long hrs. that would definately drive me crazy too.

Welcome to the forum. Riviera Maya areas has a lot of great resorts. I stayed at the Aventura Spa Palace (it's adults only) and it was beautiful. There are a lot of girls that have gotten married in that area, make sure you check that area on the forum. goodluck!

I work in a really small office so i don't know much about work showers but that sounds like a nice idea. I wouldn't spend too much maybe $30/40 like others suggested.

there are a lot of resorts in the Punta Cana area that have private receptions. I'm getting married at the Paradisus Palma Real, i have 5 or 6 different location choices that are private. I'm having my ceremony on the beach but they keep people away. you could also have it at the gazebo. the paradisus punta cana also has the same private receptions available. I know i received info from the Melia, Iberostar, and Dreams in Punta Cana and they all had private receptions and many areas for ceremonies. When i was looking at resorts i emailed each resorts wedding cordinator and asked for location choices with pics, reception packages, reception location choices with pics, menus, etc. and most will get back to you in 2-3 days with your options.

My cat used to eat pasta. My very italian father used to brag about our cat loving her spaghetti.

I was up and down. I would not want to do anything or even think about the wedding sometimes. And i'm just starting now to get excited for it.

Part of me does wish we picked somewhere a little less expensive but the other part of me knows everyone is going to have a great time with no regrets. I honestly think that the people that booked would of been the only people going regardless of our resort choice.

I'll be doing some diy project for the wedding and tryin to lose more weight for the wedding. I'm also trying not to spend too much $ since we'll be spending enough on wedding stuff.

Oh, did she give you the puppy dog eyes after she knew she was caught? Those kill me! I get that followed by the head on my shoulder, i can't stay mad at that.

Two 8 month old pups, you are crazy! I shouldn't talk i had a 9 month and a 2 month old at the same time. It's definately tough and expensive (replacing things). My one still gets into trouble. fi left a box of fig newtons on the coffee table (yes i'm totally blaming him for this not the dog) and my one dog ate the whole box plus some of the wrapping. I better not go home to a pile of puke or worse. gotta love the little devils!
