    I think that they did add the rule that if you don't weigh in by a certain time you forfeit the contest, unless you contacted Ann to let her know or had a good reason. Last season we had a lot of peole that just stopped weighing in and it was kind of a pain for Ann to keep track of weights for people that weren't participating.

    Yes we are going to hand them out before we leave. I'm hoping to be able to get everyone's travel itinerary and tickets from my TA and hand them out with the gift bags. They are basically OOT bags but just handing them out so we don't have to carry anymore stuff down to DR with us.

    I'm doing departure gift bag instead of OOT bags. In the gift bag i'm going to put a Welcome Packet that has tips, facts about my location, etc. I'm also going to include an iternary which i'll put the Welcome Dinner on there and Wedding Day itinerary. Maybe you could send out a newsletter about a month before the wedding and just include the welcome dinner info there.

    I'm like Dez I have no say in my shower, i just handed my sister the guestlist and that's it. Honestly I don't think anyone will even remember what the invite looks like. I usually look at shower invites and write down the info in my calendar and keep the registry card, then trash the invite.

    I second what Jason just mentioned. Taxes for Punta Cana are pretty high but they were included when we booked with our TA and so were transfers. Plus if anything goes wrong I have someone I can call directly and so will my guests. I also use a TA from Liberty Travel

    I was really hoping to see pics of these invites. I just can't imagine them being that horrible. I'm dying to see what they look like.

    I'm wearing a traditional dress, it's a line lace with a train. You should wear whatever dress you love, get what you want. Once you decide what you want, everyone else should just be quiet about it. I ended up getting my dress right off the rack, i think it really depends on the dress you pick, some dresses don't take that long to come in. I would just keep looking to you find one you really like. So many girls on this forum wear traditional wedding dresses.

    I don't think you need AHR STDs either. I've never received one for a local wedding before.

    Hi Erica good for you. I do a walk called Hero to Hero it's only in my local area, it supports the families of the local firefighters that died in a fire about 5 years ago and also supports their fire companies. I wanted to do the Cancer walk last year but the one i joined had people walking across a bridge which I could not do, so i just sent a donation. I'm hoping this year there will be no bridge.
