  1. sorry these arent the best quality pics, but we were obviously not trying to take pics of the gazebo, it just happened to be in the background. please excuse any and all funny looks or weird things my family are doing in the pics haha this is a night shot, the pic was taken with my back to the gazebo, so you can see what you see from the gazebo my hubby napping in the pool under the gazebo random so you can tell how close it is to the swim up bar from the beach looking back towards the hotel, the gazebo is in the middle-left of the pic hope those help!
  2. i bought a size smaller for 2 reasons, 1 was for the more strings reason haha, and 2 was because i bought it off the rack and they didnt have my size. it fit just right tho and i love how the corset ended up looking

  11. oh my word even $100 range sounds crazy to me BUT i sure can understand needing a good blowdryer. my hair takes FOREVER because its long and dense, lots of hair but each strand is fine and silky. it takes me about 15 minutes of drying in sections. i should probably save up and get a good one.

  13. wow that sucks! i feel bad for you northern gals with the shipping costs, that is so unfair! i ordered 3 things about 4 weeks before christmas, regular shipping, and 2 arrived a few days past christmas and the 3rd has yet to show. it really is the wrong time of year to order by mail/internet! not cool
  14. i love your placecards! what a cute, easy, inexpensive idea!

  17. i agree, bring a back up option like safety pin. and neen, dont have that crack smoking seamstress do anything else! the sides and zipper issue were bad enough!
  18. the best 2 online companies i used for wedding purchases were ~moonglow candles for my sand ceremony sand, recommended by Mod Carly. the colors were a dead on match to the swatches online, and when i got the sand and one of the 4 colors was wrong, i called and left a message, and about 30 minutes later i got a return call saying that the correct color had just been shipped before the return call, free of charge, and to keep the wrong one--dont worry about returning it. thats fantastic customer service, and the sand was beautiful and still looks great in the vase we poured it into. thanks again carly, for your review on moonglow! MoonGlow Candles ~customized girl for our bride and groom hoodies, a little expensive for a simple black hooded sweatshirt with wording on the front and back, but i had a coupon code so that helped. i had ordered the bride one with pink glitter font, and the groom one with plain grey font. when the order arrived BOTH hoodies had the same grey font. i hopped online and used their chat service and they had me email a pic of the incorrect hoodie, and reprinted a new hoodie with the correct color. they told me to keep the wrong one as well, seeing as how they cant resell a personalized product! so actually, for me, i got 3 sweatshirts for the price of 2, now that was a bargain! oh they also shipped the new correct one free of charge. CustomizedGirl - Design Center ~cards and pockets for our pocketfold invites. a mom and daughter company, beautiful product and straightforward website, i saved so much money by doing the invites myself compared to ordering a similar style premade, and it was so fun too! fast shipping, and the product was packed really well. www.cardsandpockets.com
  19. i really want to start watching this show, i'm officially Team Edward now so i kind of have to, right?
  20. oh my holy! girl, your wedding is going to be fantabulous! cant wait to see how it all comes together!
  21. i know you can do it. there are SO many things that looking back i feel i wasted my time and money on. so many things i could have easily done without, and at the time i thought it was making my wedding special but now i realize no one even remembered i did it, and so many things i forgot i did too until i see a pic of it. some things i am glad i did/didnt do: ~SO glad i got my dress at davids bridal. the experience wasnt the best but i LOVE my dress and saved a ton of money. ~if i had to again i would for sure do paper parasols instead of flowers for the BM's, they were so pretty and saved me a bunch of money. ~i would have learned up about photogs a bit more and not went with the first one whos work i fell in love with. i could have saved a lot of money by doing a bit more research, and i would have been just as happy. ~i wouldnt have bothered with decorations or things to make the ceremony site look interesting, but instead i would have just went with the natural beauty of the day and surroundings. ~i would totally NOT waste time or money doing programs. it was a stressful last minute project that i decided i HAD to have, and after i realized that most of them didnt even get opened. people just dont care about that kind of thing (ok except us brides! we like that sort of thing haha, but no one else remembers!) ~i am glad i found a dress i loved and also that had a corset back (so no alterations necessary! woohoo!) but i would have researched different bustle options first. the bustle cost the same as the dress! i should have just done a simple 3 point underbustle, which would have been about $50. instead since i didnt realize i could have done something different, i ended up with like 16 points and it was SO expensive and took so much time to do up. (another option would be to look for a dress that doesnt have a train!) ~table decorations--i loved how mine turned out but i think i could have saved money by going simple, just plain candles and vases filled with free beach sand! no other foofoo decorations necessary. oh my i could go ON and ON about what i would have/could have/SHOULD have (haha) cut. but my point is, just think simple! everything will be so classic and lovely if you just stick with basic items that do the job.
