  1. jill, sarah is actually due to have a baby any day now. she might be a little busy for a while (in case you cant reach her or dont hear back from her.)
  2. tell them right off the bat that you have a strict budget and not to show you anything higher than your top limit. also, check Nordstrom: Designer Collections and Top Apparel, Shoe and Beauty Brands, they have a bridal section and have several for near $100! no reason it HAS to be an actual wedding gown, try searching "white dress" and see what you find! or check ebay. make sure if you do buy something there you are aware of the sellers return policy, or that the item has not been altered yet. good luck!

  5. i ended up loving my dress after the final fitting when i got to take it home. before that i was back and forth, and i really hated it after i found out how much the bustle was going to cost on all my pickups. BUT once it was done, i couldnt try it on enough! AND i got to wear it 3 times, our huge wedding at home, our small wedding in cabo, and the TTD! i just couldnt get enough of it. and to start with, even tho i thought it was gorgeous i wasnt ever sure if it was the ONE until the wedding day when the hair and everything was all done up and put together. now i wish i could wear it again! im sure once you get in the right size and try it on you will love it. and i agree with ana, get your hair and face made up the day you try it and see how nice it will all come together.
  6. you know what i just thought of? when we got engaged and bought my ring, i called to have it added to my insurance policy and they told me that as long as i had renters/home insurance that it was included and didnt need to be listed separately. so that might be worth a try. BUT idk if that would cover an item stolen OUTSIDE of the home again, doesnt hurt to ask!
  7. oh no! my worst nightmare that really sucks! maybe you could find a very similar one and if your original one turns up (+++++++++++++fingers crossed!) then maybe you can exchange the new one for a credit towards some other piece of jewelry?? so sorry ps that HAD to be so scary! what happened??
  8. welcome back! we've been getting a few old timers back lately, its nice to see everyone again!
  9. for us the biggest money sucker is dougs child support. even tho we still have the kids 1/2 the week, he pays the full amount. we only have 1 medium sized credit card, and it probably wont be paid off until the first kids child support ends in 5 years. until then we just do what we can. other than that the car payments are our only outstanding debt and both of those will be paid off within 4 years. once we become empty nesters (haha, come on 18!!) there will be a lot less financial strain. sorry erin i know that doesnt help you out, but just thought i'd add my story.
  10. gah! i'm a horrible rhymer. but it sounds cute! maybe find a way to make it a little more whimsical. i just added some extra words to make it less choppy, what do you think?? Coming soon we're going to tie the knot! It will be in October when it's not so hot. Melissa and _____ wanted to let you know All about this place we would like you to go! Far away in the Florida sun, We would love for you to join in the fun! 11. happy birthday takes like 12 seconds to sing. i was a total bridezilla on my wedding day, and even i wouldnt have minded giving 12 seconds to someone else for such an exciting milestone. i think it would mean a LOT to the birthday lady. thats a hard birthday!
  12. i'm with rebecca. weird when youre the one on the other side, huh? the day after i wouldnt care about, if i were the bride. but maybe they need a stress reliever the day before. maybe the rehearsal dinner is a few days before. i say ask her and BIL and go from there.
  13. mine were about $1 something each to mail as well, they had so much info they just weighed a lot oh and also we went with stamps that cost more than we needed because they looked tropical. but multiplied by 100, yah that gets pricey!
  14. girls i just checked and there are 6 more new reviews on trip advisor since the last time i looked! going to read them now Dreams Puerto Aventuras - Traveler Reviews - TripAdvisor
  15. we need more of you to add your favorite online retailers! everyone probably has at least one, right? get to it!
  16. they look so fantastic! of course i might be biased as they are super similar to mine (haha j/k they are gorgeous)! we used the same exact cards and pockets color and size, and i ended up hand cutting all my inserts myself. that wasnt fun! yours are like a flashback to mine, they are so much alike
  17. oh! i also thought, use the search funtion because i think becks actually found some or made some pockets for her bp invites that looked amazing.
  18. have you tried envelopments? Envelopments Mix and Match Design Line - parts for custom invitations and announcements we used cards and pockets and they were lovely.

Hahahaaaa omg car me too! i LOVE seeing dougs hand with his ring on. and i am lucky too because before we got married doug would say things like dont take it personal but i probably wont wear a ring much. he works with heavy machinery at work building airplanes, and it could be dangerous for him to wear one. but ever since the wedding he has only taken it off like 4 times, and then its only for like overnight because he forgot to put it back on after working on the car or something. but syl, no i wouldnt actually take it personally. some guys just arent comfortable wearing or getting used to wearing jewelry on their hands. i would try and talk him into a thinner band. (not like mm height, but mm thickness so it doesnt make his other fingers spread out so much) or maybe he wouldnt be opposed to wearing it on a nice chain on his neck? doug was thinking about doing that but never did because he got used to the ring. and if you end up looking for a different sized titanium ring, look for one at Silver-Depot Warehouse, where we got dougs rings (yes, rings! they are so inexpensive that we actually got doug 4 different ones!)
  20. imho i seriously wonder who would want to use it for a wedding. its not beautiful by any means, and so little, really. no space around for chairs or anything. and there is really no place to hide as a bride before you walk towards it. it just doesnt seem like it would work very well. i mean you go all the way to mexico to get married in a gorgeous setting, why not walk 20 feet farther and have a beautiful set up right on the sandy beach? its so much prettier. and for someone worried about getting married in the hot sun and hoping the gazebo will provide some shade, that is just not what this gazebo does. ok maybe for the wedding party, but all the guests would be in the sun anyways. and its on the side of the hotel where the sun is shining until late in the day, so really no escape. not to harp on it, haha, but i just dont think it woulde work well. my advice is go for the beach!!!!
