leanne, we usually dont get the insurance on car rentals either, but in mexico it can be different, and in another thread i was advised that they often collect "cash only" insurance fees when you arrive to pick up the car, regardless of if you have already paid in full prior to traveling to mexico. so it could end up being no big deal, BUT it could be a big deal as well, if you kwim

FYI i heard from cancun valet right away after i emailed them for more info yesterday (my resort wasnt listed and i didnt know they consider GBP to be "in" akumal) so i found out airport to GBP roundtrip is $165. we did the ~car rental vs. private van and collectivo for the week~ math and it turns out its actually less expensive to take the van back and forth and use the collectivo around "town" during the week, than to rent the car PLUS the daily insurance fees. plus its less stress for us to have a private van and not have to worry about getting pulled over or the car stolen or something ridiculous like that SO needless to say, i think we will end up going this route

there is a very good reason JM was locally voted number 2 in the whole running of the Best Photographers in Western Washington! Jean-Marcus Strole in Western Washington- Northwest Escapes - Western Washington i personally even voted for him over my very own photographer, who was also up for votes. ever since i booked with the first photographer who's work i liked, instead of waiting and doing more research (prior to discovering BDW, dammit!!) to find the best photog for my money i have ALWAYS wished we went with JM instead. jenny you are so lucky to have discovered him before another photog .................plus, i have met him in person too and i can tell you, he would dance on tables if he had to, to make sure you were happy seriously tho, i only hung out with him a couple hours and i could tell from that experience that jenny isnt exaggerating when she says he is a great guy who just knows how to run the show and make sure things happen the way you want! props to jenny for a great choice, and to JM for being not only a fantastic photog with an amazing eye, but for being a cool dude too

i would think that you could make your own wax tipped stick, if you cant find one. just use a small skewer or orange stick, and get a little case of that wax that people with braces use (available and drug and grocery stores.) just make a small little ball of the wax and affix it to the end of the stick, voila! it should work just fine.

oh holy man, cali i am so sad for you, first of all, so sorry to hear about the mc BIG HUGS! i remember you had to quit when you were moving but that was totally different, you had a nice easy ready-made excuse to tell that family. if i were you i would just be honest, but dont feel like you have to go into too much detail with them, your reasons should be good enough. i wouldnt mention the bad parts about your hire there, just keep it to the personal stuff and let them work it out. i bet they will appreciate that you need to take care of yourself before someone elses child, and hopefully that will make it easier on you. keep us updated!
