Kritsy, I know you already bought them but can they be returned? I was just thinking that maybe the villa wouldn't like oil candles near the chlorine pool. Maybe regular floating candles would suffice? You can buy those in bulk packs at places like michaels.

To clarify, if your bag is randomly searched, not only will they remove the oil when it is found, but TSA is required to have the airline contact you to let you know why the item was removed and the airline agent has to fill out a hazmat report. This could not only delay YOU from getting on your flight but it could cause your bag to miss the flight.

FYI NO you can NOT bring flammable items like parafin oil regardless of quantity. I work for an airline and it also does not matter what airline you fly on because it's not an airline rule, it's a government regulation. Hope that helps.

sorry but i understand you would like to know separately about excursions, but this really is a subject that has been coverered extensively. as jac mentioned above, anyone that said it is safe to vacation in the other threads would have the same things to say about excursions while on vacation. and those that dont think it is safe to vacation there should probably not only not do excursions but should probably not bother getting married there too. sorry if that was harsh but im just so sick and tired of this subject. as jeremy so correctly stated above, the trouble is NOT in or around resort towns. it is in places like juarez, tijuana, mexico city. the safety checkpoints are not things to be worried about, they are things to help keep you safe. i am going to close this thread.

lyss i was kinda on that end of things too, i mean she does totally and completely cover her ground by stating over and over that if you dont agree, then dont contribute. its not something i would ever do and personally i think its kinda tacky, BUT i dont think she is being a brat about it. i think she is just kinda like, why not?? the line that sunk me was when she basically explained that "if you are having trouble deciding between giving to a real charity or to me, dont bother". she knows what she is doing isnt exactly "normal" but she does keep calling it an experiment, and i think that in a round-about way, that actually makes it fun and ok BUT i also think its silly that she is bashing other people. if she wants to experiment and have fun with it, ok, but leave it at that.

we do the ctrl+alt+arrow trick at work all the time to newbies its hilarious! and yesterday we had a new Lead being trained and her trainer called and told her she needed to get to the plane fast because someone pooped all over their seat, she totally raced out there thinking she had to do something about it. i guess it was an early joke lisa, omg if i were that dad i would put my daughter on car restriction for a month! trisha, the kids always do the sprayer one to doug, and he falls for it every time. they arent with us today so maybe i will do that to him. he might get grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr tho
