  2. looks awesome! i love the bead game too! great idea! the cake was beautiful, do you have any bigger close-ups of it?
  3. of course, if it doesnt come off, then you can resort to the drinking kind of alcohol! wootwoot!
  4. oh no! i use some sort of toner with alcohol (not the drinking kind!) something like a cotton pad with sea-breeze on it or whatever. i always stain around my hairline, oops!
  5. heidi those are AWESOME! can't wait to see the rest, and the BD and TTD too! my fave was the window one FOR SURE, SO cute! i love that one!
  6. i dont have much info yet, but i'll be staying there this july! you can search for sandra's (sodria) she just got married there, her pics are great!
  7. wow! so even with the quickie chicago trip i still managed to get some internet shopping done this weekend! i ordered: parasols for me and 5 BM's (Paper Lanterns | Parasols | Party & Wedding Decorations | Luna Bazaar) turquoise and blue swirl cupcake paper liners (Country Kitchen SweetArt) cupcake stands (Cake decorating & candy making products online) flower girl dress (http://www.http://littlemarket.store...noname420.html) i also went out and bought: napkins/ribbon to wrap the silverware in (Halloween, Party Supplies, Decorations, Favors, Scene Setters, Invitations, Accessories, Party City) circle punch to do favor tags (www.michaels.com) palm tree punch for part of invites (www.michaels.com) some other things but i can't remember what..? lot's to do still but need to get my computer projects going so i can assemble the invites and TY tags, etc. and, STILL need to come up with a favor idea that we both agree on. nothing we think of is impressing us so we'll have TY tags with nothing to tie them too!

  9. i went out with a friend of a friend one time like 10 years ago. he seemed like a really nice guy (and he was) so i thought we'd have fun. after dinner we went back to his place to watch this movie he kept talking about, how it's his favorite movie, it's so good blahblahblah. we get there and it's some VCR recorded made-for-TV movie that was so horrible! it was old, like from the early 90's, and he knew all the lines! it was like some jacqueline smith romance movie or whatever. and at the end he actually cried! like real and true alligator tears. it was just too creepy for me. needless to say, we did not go out again, and our mutual friend got a punch in the shoulder when i saw him again.
  10. i thought you were supposed to lay on your back?

  16. UPDATE:i forgot to update this! we did end up waxing the tops, just bought sealing wax that was on clearance at michaels and followed the directions. pretty easy, altho as some others have mentioned, use an old pot! the wax is hard to get out, so we just let it harden and tossed the pot. we added a scent to the wax, and everyone has told us how nice they smell (plumeria)! we took them to the post office, and got lucky. it was busy so the clerk weighed 1 bottle and it came to $1.31. instead of printing and weighing each individual bottle (which would have taken a LONG time) she sold us a few sheets of $.90 stamps and an equal number of $.40 stamps, and told us not to worry about the extra $.01 she just charged us a misc charge for $65.00 (to send 50 bottles). then we took the bottles over to an empty counter and smacked the stamps on ourselves. it turned out pretty cool, we got these tropical palm tree/beach stamps that are out right now, and the $.30 stamps were the little ones that spell "celebrate", so it looked really cool on the bottle, way cooler than a regular printed barcode kind of stamp. make sure to ask if you can do it this way! we mailed them at closing time on a monday night, and by the next afternoon people were calling to tell us they got them! altho, the one we sent to chicago still has not arrived everyone else has gotten them. we just saw on at dougs parents the other day, and it looked really neat with the torn wax and stuff, they had it sitting on the mantel above the fireplace. the postage was hand cancelled, and it looked so cool. my biggest bit of advice on these is watch how much sand you put in if you want to cut the cost of postage. we only had about 1/4 inch sand in each bottle, plus about 7-9 tiny shells, 2 umbrellas, 9-10 little palm tree confetti pieces, the postcard and twine. hope this helps! any ?? just ask!
  17. great story! we did MIB STD's, and they were not too pricey and very easy to mail. check out my link: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16094

  22. hahaha, j/k, BUT i do know how you all like pics, SO without further ado, a mini recap of my 12 hour trip to chicago over the weekend! first, our baby niece is getting SOOO BIIIIG! she has this adorable thing she does now, you say to her, "How big is Evie?" and she puts her arms in the air and smiles really big, then you have to say, "SOOOOOOOO BIIIIIIG!" it's really cute she'll be 1 on may 5th! also, i know you love pics of when we meet each other, so here is a pic of maura and i! please keep in mind that is was about 2:00am and we were both pretty beat from long long days. this was at my FBIL's house when she dropped me off. we went to her new crib and chilled, it was so fun lookng at all her wedding stuff in person, plus it felt like we were just old friends catching up, we had so much to talk about and it was really awesome to finally meet each other! and finally, on our way home we took a detour thru heaven: i love airplane cloud shots!
