  1. oh thats weird! i was gonna say, i know there is an option to where you can give unlimited per day, but i dont think that's the problem here! weird!!
  2. i was p.o.'d last night, i went to get gas at safeway, where i got a .03 cent club card discount per gallon, which made it $3.69, and then i drove down the road where i passed an am/pm and it was $3.59. i was so pissed! every red cent counts, you know haha, altho i just realized, it would have only saved me $1.20, since i got 12 gallons. barely enough for a loaf of the cheap bread

  4. alyssa, i'm so sad for your loss. that is so sad like you said for your cousins to lose her right before mothers day. my BFF dad died on fathers day a few years ago, so strange how that happens. if you need anything just let us know. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}
  5. i love the all lace one on you. the macys one was pretty, but not stunning.
  6. i've only ever has shrimp ceviche as well, but never made either version. but, my mouth is watering! i've been on a mexican food craving ever since we decided to do the mexico wedding! good luck karen! let us know how it turns out!
  7. oh yah, chicago. i forgot about july heat, from last year. we almost died, that was the month we tore apart trevors kitchen that you sort of saw. it was so sticky hot, no a/c, and plaster and horsehair dust EVERYWHERE! that makes me for sure want to tell you to just forget it all and transform your lovely little living room into a wedding oasis. i mean really, if you can do the rooftop, then of course, do it, but if not, just do the living room. it will be absolutely fine. and less walking/standing for papa.
  8. maur, i think your living room would be large enough, esp with the coffee table moved out. that really sucks about the rooftop tho, it would be perfect! and i agree your "private" terrace would be too narrow, for exactly the reasons you stated. what about down below? what is in the center courtyard? it was too dark and i dont remember. if there was a little yard/garden area down there it would be ok, and hopefully some daylight would reach all the way down there still at 7pm in july. altho the sun sets earlier, civil twilight isn't over until like after 9:30pm. i dont really like the park idea for the lookyloo reason. it's just way too public, plus, wouldn't you need a permit? i'm assuming your civil ceremony is going to be long enough that you could draw a crowd, since you mentioned seating, but if not, it might be ok if the weather is good. you could just walk over, do the ceremony, and then be done before too many people might notice.
  9. that's a fun list, thanks christine i love the name ainsleigh and how easily it flows, her whole name is so nice! you guys did a great job!
  10. i just have one request: HAVE FUN! but i'm sure you will! take lots of pics for us pic whores!
  11. AHHHHHHHHH! OMG my ticker says 2 months exactly today! FREAK OUT!! at least i've gotten a few more things done for at home wedding. yesterday i went to moms and we cut and sewed 15- 2 foot squares of this great fabric i found on sale ($2.99 a yard!) last week at Joann Fabrics, it's the perfect shade of aqua, Tiffany blue, and it's linen-look, so like a poly-cotton blend and so much easier to work with than linen! anyways, we machine sewed a straight line all around about 1 inch in, then we are fraying the edges all around, with the stitch being where the fraying stops. these are going to be like table toppers, on top of the white table linens but under the centerpiece vase. i was going to do some sort of organza, but it was just gonna be too hard to work with. i really wanted to add more wedding color to the room where our reception is, and figured this would work fine. i have a pic of the little sample one we made, but it's a home so i'll post later. ha! and i still have NO clue what we are even doing for the centerpieces, but at least we have something to put them on top of! oh well oh and i'm almost done with the TY tags for our favors (yay!), the 5oz Tapatio's, which we also ordered from Albertson's on friday. they gave us a $1 per case discount, so with 144 bottles, it is about $1.12 per favor, plus since we did the order thru the grocery store instead of the website, we didnt have to pay shipping. right on! we are going to put our monogram stickers (Sarah's design, on zazzle stickers) on the neck, and tie the TY tag to the neck with leftover twine from our MIB i'll do pics when we get those done, but at least we ordered them!
  12. tami, not cool! you poor girl. any luck with the airline, hotel, or photog??

  14. great pics! thanks for sharing. your niece is so freakin cute, and i love your dress, so beautiful!
  15. they look great, good job i would be very excited to go to the wedding if i got one, you're guests will be too!
  16. i'm gonna keep my political thoughts to myself on this one, BUT i do really like this girl. she was on ellen a while back, and she was so well spoken and sweet, i've liked her ever since i can't wait to see pics from her wedding, hopefully!
  17. great review! now where are the weddin' pics lady!! i love how you did the first dance alone on your balcony, that is SO sweet and romantic!
  18. kris it looks great! i love the dress, where did you find it? it will be great for TTD!
  19. dougs son 12 will be his best man, and his daughter 9 will be my MOH. we are doing a sand ceremony to symbolize the joining of us as a family, but other than that i wanted it to be all about doug and i. i've never been married, and he went thru the big wedding thing 11 years ago his first time, so i think that's why i didnt want the entire focus to be about the whole family after the sand ceremony part. after all, it's me and him getting married!
  20. yay i got to see the pics! you guys look like you had some fun times, and my god the water was so beautiful! looks amazing! how come you didnt go in the pool??
  21. i love how the tables are lit up! so cool! and your pics are awesome! you look so beautiful.
  22. i hate my tummy. i could deal with every other icky area on my body, but i hate the fat on my tummy. it looks like i have extra skin from having a baby, yet i havent! and it's not like my tummy is distended or bloated, its not inside, but the actual layer of blubber on the outside. oh and also the skin on the back of my upper arms gets these little bumps. i hate it. it doesnt happen in the winter when they're covered up, but in the summer when i start to wear sleeveless stuff. of course.

Don't I need more than one fitting? amy my alterations were almost as much as my dress, about $250. and we paid up front, and then i had the fitting where they pinned it up, then the fitting where i tried it on to make sure it was right, and took it home that day. but june 20th sounds like a long time! what if they need to fix something else??
  24. yay lizz! have an awesome trip and an amazing wedding! can't wait to hear all about it!
