  2. my photographer starts at 4pm, when i'm getting dressed & ready, and i'll be in my huge foo-foo dress for 9-10 hours when all is said and done. i know some of you changed mid-reception, or after the ceremony, and i'm wondering if i might like to do that too. did/will you make any "costume" changes at your wedding? why? into what? are you glad you did or do you wish you didn't bother? this is the dress i'm thinking of getting, $30 at Welcome to Target, so it's not like it would be a waste of money if i don't get around to changing. also i could bring it for my cabo wedding if i decide my big poofy one is too much of a hassle to bring down after already wearing it at my home wedding. obviously not with the black shoes, i'm thinking flip-flops! what do ya think?
  3. no, sorry for the scare gals, i just thought some people might want to know about the sfo-cancun flights, lots of cancun brides on here, and i didnt know if anyone was routing thru sfo. sorry! didn't mean to freak anyone out!

  10. Alaska Airlines shedding six routes in capacity shift Horizon assuming service to La Paz and Loreto May 14, 2008 As part of an ongoing effort to enhance the profitability of Air Group’s network, Alaska Airlines plans to end service in six markets this fall, with more route changes to be announced in coming weeks. Beginning Sept. 7, Alaska will discontinue its daily service between Portland and Orlando and its three daily roundtrips between San Francisco and Vancouver. The carrier will also end its four weekly flights between Los Angeles and Loreto and its thrice-weekly service between LAX and La Paz. In addition, Alaska will not return this winter to three routes it has flown seasonally in the past between San Francisco and Cancún, Mazatlán and Zihuatanejo. Horizon Air will assume some of the discontinued routes by flying three times a week between Los Angeles and La Paz, pending U.S. and Mexico government approval, and LAX and Loreto. La Paz would be a new market for Horizon and its second in Mexico. Horizon launched service to Loreto in January and announced in March that this service would become seasonal starting June 7. On Oct. 26, Alaska will resume once-a-week seasonal service to Loreto. Some of the capacity from these cancellations will cover Alaska Airlines’ new service to Maui. Alaska will operate daily, year-round service from Seattle to Maui starting July 17 and twice-weekly service from Anchorage beginning Oct. 31 through April 25, 2009. The changes are a part of a broader effort to trim capacity from underperforming routes and redeploy it in ways that will bring new revenue into the network, said Andrew Harrison, Alaska Air Group’s managing director of planning. In its first quarter conference call with investment analysts and the news media on April 24, Alaska disclosed that it planned to redeploy 3 percent to 5 percent of its existing capacity in the fall schedule. The company expects to announce further schedule reductions and where the remaining freed-up capacity will be redeployed within the next several weeks. “For every dollar the price of oil increases, Alaska incurs $10 million in additional fuel costs per year,” Harrison said. “When you consider that the price of crude oil has nearly doubled from $65 a barrel in the second quarter of 2007 to $125 per barrel today, it’s critical we take a serious look at our network and redeploy capacity to the places where we can strengthen our network, recover our fuel costs and continue to provide the best service to our customers.” Harrison said the airline canceled service in the affected markets because fares and passenger levels no longer cover flying costs. “This was a very difficult decision to make,” he said. “Unfortunately, it was a necessary one given the challenging marketplace we face.” The routes Horizon plans to assume between Los Angeles and Loreto and La Paz initially will be flown with its smaller CRJ-700 regional jets, although the carrier is seeking government approval to operate 76-seat Bombardier Q400s for improved efficiency. The Q400 has roughly half the seats of Alaska’s Boeing 737-400s and burns 30 percent less fuel than a similarly sized regional jet. The market cancellations come in addition to changes made to the spring schedule. Effective April 27, Alaska Airlines ended its five daily roundtrips between Oakland and Orange County. It also discontinued its Seattle-Boise and Seattle-Reno service, transferring these routes to Horizon to better match aircraft capacity with demand. “The competitive landscape is changing very quickly,” Harrison said. “As the cost of fuel continues to soar, we need to respond quickly and appropriately. Some carriers are discontinuing operations, some are considering mergers and others are significantly reducing capacity. We’re constantly monitoring the marketplace to take advantage of new opportunities as they open up, while continuing to ensure we cover our bases of strength.”

Let him know too that Regina is pronounced re-gy-na, not re-gina like the name. Some also call it the "city that rhymes with fun", if you catch my drift! hahahahaha, i might not mention the explanation to him tho I'm sure I can come up with some more stuff tomorrow. heatherjones is also from SK, you should try contacting her too. Sorcha great info! thanks!
  12. i love it, but agree with the changes you are making, one thing, it needs more peach somewhere! the only spot i see is the date. unless peach is her accent color, and green the main color. great job!
  13. That's Trevor! He's 12. He is my soon-to-be stepson, and he is doing a province report on Saskatchewan! He knows we have some girls on here from there, so he asked me to ask you ladies to provide him with some fun facts and info about your province. He is looking for things like local recipes, random little known info, and things that people who live there like to do in their free time. Lisa (Stormsong) sent me some jam type spread in my secret bunny gift, so i rinsed out the jar and he's going to use that as a visual aide. Any help you girls could give him would be great! Email me any info at [email protected] or post here in this thread. Thanks so much!!
  14. we didnt want to register at all, but my auntie is having a shower for me (didnt think i was gonna have one, no one mentioned it until last week!) anyways, she had a problem with us not being registered. she thought it was weird that we dont want gifts. i explained to her that it not that we would turn anything away (come one, everyone loves a gift!), but we live in a tiny 2 bedroom house with no storage, we're renting, and absolutely NO extra room for anything. i mean, we're over 30 and have both led lives before each other, and have a ton of cool stuff already. she still didnt quite get it, and finally i just decided to register at BBB, just enough stuff for 30-40 people at my shower. got a mix of expensive and inexpensive stuff, bed and bath related only (you can never have enough towels with 2 kids in the house!). short story long, i told my mom, his mom, and my aunt who is throwing the shower, the registry number and i'm leaving it up to them to tell people.

  16. ok i'm biased, like i told you in email, my dads friend michele is a performer in the show, so it must be good! i havent seen it, but i have seen O and mystere, both amazing. if it's anything like it, you'll be blown away! have fun!!

SOOOO glad i did STD's, so at least people are expecting the invite soon! i'll post pics when i'm done, SO close! that will really feel good to get that accomplished. the invite part has been harder and more mentally time consuming than anything else so far!
