Tori Spelling Returns to Her Old Zip Code — 90210!
May 27, 2008
Tori Spelling is the latest alum to return to the CW’s 90210 spinoff this fall and reprise her character Donna Martin.
What will Donna be doing in the exclusive zip code?
“Donna loved designing and wanted a career in fashion. It’ll be fun to explore that storyline,†Spelling tells PEOPLE. “And, I’m sure fans will be dying to know if she’s still married to David!â€
The original show, created by her late father Aaron Spelling, ran from 1990-2000. In the show’s finale, Donna Martin married her high school sweetheart David Silver, played by Brian Austin Green.
A rep for the show said Donna will “own one of the coolest stores in Beverly Hills.â€
Spelling said she is excited to be working with her longtime friend Jennie Garth, who returns as Kelly Taylor, a counselor at her alma mater, West Beverly High School.
“Donna Martin was such a huge part of my life. It’s going to be so fun to work with Jennie [Garth] again and see where Donna is today,†Spelling said. “When they say you can’t go home again, it’s not true. I’m headed back to the zip code I know best and couldn’t be happier!â€
The complete cast was announced earlier this month when Rob Estes joined as the patriarch of the Mills family who moves to Beverly Hills from Kansas. His wife Debbie is played by Lori Loughlin.

Looks like school’s back in session for the 90210 spinoff!
The CW released a photo of the hot, new cast — (from left) Dustin Milligan, AnnaLynne McCord, Jessica Walter, Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds, Lori Loughlin, Ryan Eggold, Jessica Stroup and Michael Steger, but no Jennie Garth in sight, though the original Beverly Hills, 90210 star will be making special guest appearances as a guidance counselor on the spinoff.
The spinoff centers around Shenae Grimes’s character Annie Mills and her family’s move from Kansas to the world’s most famous zip code to be closer to Annie’s grandmother.
