  2. for those of you who use paypal and have had to return something to the seller: when the seller credits your paypal account, how do you turn around and use the dollar amount that is in your paypal account or how do you get that amount back to your credit/debit card? fyi: we tried contacting paypal but werent able to right now, so i figured i'd go to my best source for info! TIA!
  3. ok jac, i'm gonna be your devils advocate. i agree with your first impression, i think the 2 dresses are too different, altho both beautiful and when the same color, they will match, i still think the strapless mermaid is too off from the other. besides, its YOUR wedding, they should wear it how YOU want it hmmm, sorry if your MOH is carly, no offense to who ever's taste the other dress is, but i figured it was another girl otherwise you would have told us or put CARLY DONT READ
  4. erin that is so sad to hear about your old bf i have one that was like that, i would be so sad to hear it, we broke up in a friendly way but have lost touch the last few years, so dont worry, i completely understand. if i were you i would send his family a card letting them know how sad you were to hear the news and that you just found out. just so they know you were thinking of him. unless, on the other hand, you didnt really know them, just him. then maybe do something for yourself to pay a memorial to your memory of him. and dont worry, if you've already got your 3 bad things, then you're home free! yay! heres to a happy and perfect wedding experience form here on out!

  6. www.lunabazaar.com and personally they do sort of look cheap, but they are made out of paper, string, and wood, plus they are like $6 each, so they are cheap! But they always photograph so nicely.
  7. oh man i totally thought there was gonna be pics you tease! dont worry, like rachel says they are professionals who do this for a living, it sounds close but they will be fine.
  8. I was a little upset that I wasn't able to order the sky blue color, I had to go with the turquoise because by the time I finally got around to ordering these there were never enough quantity of the sky blue (which they told me is a great match to aqua or Tiffany.) Oh well, totally my fault, turquoise will work fine, I've got enough else to stress about! Here are the 6 parasols in the box, they also came packed nice and snug with brown butcher paper tucked in all the spaces to keep them sturdy. Here are all 3 colors, I got ivory for me, chocolate for my maid of honor, and turquoise for everyone else. Here is the underside, I've never seen pics of this before so I thought I'd share in case anyone was interested And the handle I'm pretty happy with them, altho the chocolate wasn't quite as dark as it appears on the website, I was hoping for dark dark brown, but it's more of almost an orangish brow, if that makes sense. Now I'm just praying it doesn't rain on my wedding day, I don't know how these will turn out, and I'm not doing any sort of flowers as of yet. I'm gonna hope that by bringing all these "umbrellas" with me, our Seattle rain will stay far away you know how when you have one with you, you never need it, but vice versa
  9. First of all, a HUGE BIG thank you to Carly for letting me borrow this, and also to Lauren and Jen for getting it back to her in one piece! Here is my something borrowed starfish bouquet jewel I am so honored to be able to use this little guy as my something borrowed BDW rocks!
  10. where has jac been lately anyways? now that she's done with yours shes too busy planning her own probably!
  11. I can't believe I had pics of something and forgot to post them on BDW Sorry! Anyways, last Saturday we went to the B v C soccer game at Qwest Field here in Seattle. It was so much fun, Doug's brother Trevor (who is marrying us!) came out from Chicago, and we also took Doug's son Trevor. Can you tell Doug hearts his big bro? The final score was 3-2, Brasil. The didn't bring their A game, but it was a fun game. Canada almost had them! Enjoy! much lower attendance than the Mex v China game last month. all the boys lined up me and my boys we had killer seats, club level 211. nice maura will appreciate this one cause she has seen them in action
  12. oh no rach! that is so scary i'm sorry i dont have any better advice other than be strong and available for her. poor poor auntie. so obviously she is concious, is she aware of what is going on tho? how is she taking it? {{{{{{{{{SUPER HUGE HUGS}}}}}}}}} to you.
  13. YAY tammy! so exciting! have a fantastic and romantic day!
  14. ahhh maura, i just finally saw this. first of all, they are gorgeous, but yes they are too orange. i cant wait to see what she comes up with, and no you are not being bridezilla about it. i cant believe you have to pay the $25 for the retint, how is that your fault, plus it was a whole week later than it was supposed to be?? show pics asap
  15. OMG nicole, i am freakin out. you having 29 days means mine is a week after that. AHHHHHHHHHHHH.
  16. ok so i think i forgot to update, the gal from moonglow called me the next morning and said she dropped a lb of ivory in the mail already. according to ups it should arrive in the next day or so, and she didnt charge me for it or for shipping. so now i have a lb of DB colored Banana sand up for grabs, i'll even pay for shipping. first person to PM can have it for free
  17. i believe i ordered it on the 23rd, and it came the day i posted the thread, the 29th? so it was about a week. michaels has some colored sand, but not the colors i wanted, to match my davids bridal BM and my dresses.
  18. you guys are gorgeous thanks for sharing, i'm so happy everything worked out so well!
  19. oh no erin! yikes! when i bought my dress i had not been working out and was 7 lbs heavier than now. i did not have any alterations done in the top of my dress, just length. over the next month i was working out 3 times a week, trying to tone my mid/upper back (the part that will show.) when i went back in for the fitting, my underskirt would barely zip and the dress corset had to be laced looser! i had gained thick muscle definition in my back, and it was thicker than the 7 lbs of fat had been! ahhhhh! so, i actually STOPPED working out, well, my back anyways. keep up the cardio! and water water water till thats all you can think and breathe! for a quick few lbs, (not totally healthy) try diurex, makes you pee green, but whateva
  20. i'm changing mine too, but im actually doing it myself, there is a wide, contrasting band of champagne fabric at the top, im going to cinch it and stitch it in place creating the illusion of a sweetheart without actually changing the structure of the dress, but still adding the cleavage effect as well as making it not a straight across, high band. no pics yet, tho i'll post when i do it!
  21. sarah, you are totally competing against ann for most dedicated member go have fun and check in when you get back! {{{HUGS}}}
