As of right now our money is still separate. We have a joint account with no money in it because we still use our sepaerate accounts. I just have bills that I'm in charge of and he has bills (a lot more than me) that he takes care of. this pretty much sums it up, i have certain bills that i cover, and doug has things like child support that the closest i come to contributing to is to hand the check to his ex we use our joint account for things like big ticket items, and to transfer money from his account to mine, and vice versa, like when we pay rent i transfer my half of the money and he takes it, but when we pay his sons soccer dues, he transfers it and i take it to write a check with. i REALLY really like morgans plan tho. i'm hoping we can come up with something similar when the wedding paying is done, but for now it's confusing because we have all the wedding stuff we are both covering, and the $ we spend on his kids to consider as well.
  3. "WAKE UP PEOPLE THIS IS NOT A WEEKEND BACKYARD BARBEQUE WHERE YOU CAN JUST GO RUN OUT FOR AN EXTRA CASE OF BEER AND A COUPLE EXTRA BURGERS! ITS A FUCKING WEDDING!!!!!!!! USE PROPER ETIQUETTE ACCORDINGLY, ASSHOLE!" this is my new unofficial siggy quote
  4. but dont worry, we wont ask you to post pics of THAT trial
  5. morg! those glasses are awesome! they look fantastic with the fiestaware good job.
  6. yah maur, dont worry that will be the first thing i do when i get home, so i might still be in uniform!
  7. oh amy, my fingers are crossed too! and i totally do not think you should have to pay the split. esp. if you have email proof to back the date up!!
  8. AHHHHHHHHHH! doug just called and my veil came! i cant wait to get home and see it!
  9. wow. that does suck! some people have no class. on the other hand, at least you are getting rsvp's. we have had 47 out of 200 respond, and today was our deadline. nice. thanks for paying attention assholes now i'm on the "it already has a stamp how f-ing hard can it be to mail it" rant.
  10. yay so glad your feeling better. now post those pics!
  11. oh i am a stalker, but i wish i wasnt. my shower is 3 days away and the things i wanted most havent been bought i REALLY wanted this brown blanket, but no one is buying. also no one has bought any sheet sets, and WTF am i gonna do with the duvet and shams, with no matching sheets? see, that is another reason we didnt want to register, you pick a certain item, or quantity of something, and it doesnt get fulfilled, and then you are stuck withe the choices A) using the item in an incomplete way, returning the item and resenting the people who MADE you register, or C) having to spend your own money to purchase the missing pieces, but having to wait until after the wedding when you get $ and taking the chance of the items no longer being available, and end then end having to hassle around returning it after all

People laugh at us when we tell them, but then they realize how much sense it makes. We have slept wonderfully every night since, and I recommend it to everyone hehe my grama and grampa do this, and have for over 50 years, but with twin beds. and i always thought it was weird, but that's beacuse i always sleep better with doug than without. i ALWAYS fall asleep either spooned up against him or at the very least with my arm reached out and touching his back, like my hand tucked in the tops of his manties. ok, so i guess this is not really about what has changed since living together, but i guess we all sorta got off topic. nothing has changed, we pretty much moved in together right away, but the hardest part is having to keep my messes to myself, and together doug and i are both pretty messy.
  13. a lot of girls that have low-backed or corset have decided to go with cups, but if it's high backed, like shoulder blades, then i guess it depends on how big your girls are if you need a lot of support or boost, then you probably want a bridal bra. but if you are small and high, then cups are probably ok. i guess it depends on the support of your dress as well, loose or fitted. oh, and some girls like cups only because it's not as hot in the sun and heat as a full length bridal bra would be.

  16. oh, forgot to say, NO i dont think it's tacky, per se, but i do think some people might be bothered, if they are like my family as described above
  17. BEFORE! my underskirt had to be taken up, or else it would have shown out from under the dress (i'm only 5'3".) also, the dress wont lay right if you dont have it on, but plan on getting one later, when they alter it it will be totally different without the poof underneath.
