jac, doug is an airplane mechanic and he works with heavy machinery all day long, he LOVES his titanium band, it is super lightweight and still very strong at the same time. we got him 4 different ones and he is wearing the black one right now, it scratches pretty good (but it's not the ring, just the black color that is scratching off, moslty from opening beer bottles in cabo hahaha), but he likes it better than the plain silver ones. anyways, titanium is actually what airplane skins are made of, so you know it's tough stuff! ahhhhhh, and in case you havent, check out Wholesale Sterling Silver Jewelry | Titanium | Stainless Steel | Fashion Jewelry for titanium bands, they are like $5 and thats why we got 4. the EXACT same band is at the jewelers we got my ring from and it is $170, but we paid like $5.50 or something for his black one.

IMHO i dont care for the whole tux look. too prom for me! we went with the total beach look, silk short sleeve button shirt and brown khaki slacks, and then he wore brown linen pants in cabo. i dont think the color matters, except if she has an opinion, then do what she wants!

man i totally forgot i was gonna do this, but i ended up ripping out the lining before cabo anyways

i think the type of comb helps too, both of mine are the metal wire teeth kind, and i didnt have trouble with either blowing away (i did actually have an issue with it being too secure, when i went to switch from the longer to shorter veil after the ceremony, the comb was in so good that it loosened a section of my pinned up hair and we had to do a beauty 911 and fix it up before our intro) sorry this doesnt really help with the weighting it down issue, but in case you are worried about it flying away from your head.

doug and i are the the kind of couple who hate to be apart. especially after a long weekend or vacation together, it is so hard to be apart. we dont "need" to be together for security of the relationship, we just want to because that's what makes us happy. people always tell us, oh you'll get over it, but we've been together since 2003, and it hasn't changed. whenever we dont spend enough time together we start to get grouchy with each other. we text all day, and he calls me every break at work. we do enjoy SOME time apart, but we are constantly calling and texting even so going back to work yesterday was awful, both of our first days back after 12 days of non-stop togetherness was tough!

sad! i cant see these at work but i bet they are gorgeous!!
