I researched ALOT before I chose Dreams Tulum just as I'm sure every bride has before they chose their place. I'm in TX so my flight won't be long but everyone can just take a nap on the plane DREAMS is BEAUTIFUL! I have info on Dreams Tulum if you need anything just let me know.

Lisa, I guess I am having the symbolic ceremony as well, we aren't getting legally married in Mexico. How is the symbolic ceremony? If I choose the symbolic can we arrive on Wednesday and get married on Friday? I'll definitely go with the direct tranfer! Glad to hear the shows and disco are entertaining. We make our own fun so I'm sure we will have no problem hanging around the resort with all inclusive drinks

Yes, I've heard of the collectivo. Does it run by the street of the resort? Can we brink a drink along for the ride

Thanks ladies. I will look into Cancun valet so that the ride will be shorter and reccomend it to family and friends as they will be arriving after us. I would rent a car but I've only been to Mexico 3 times and I've never drove. I'm too chicken to try now I'm sure we can stay busy at the hotel but would love to go into Playa one night. Is the drive far?

I thought about doing that too. We are going to end up doing it before we leave for Mexico but either way will work fine. I have read somewhere that someone did the legal when they got back because they wanted the first time they said I do to be on the beach. So whatever you prefer.

I have been so wrapped up in picking the place that I haven't even been able to go try on dresses!!!! Good thing is I finally picked the place, Dreams Tulum. YAY! Next on my list is find the dress and I will surely post pics and everything else when I find my dress!!!! Thanks girls!

OOPS, I meant 6/27/08!!!!

After much research I chose Dreams Tulum and my date is 6/27/07!!! I'm so happy I finally got this done!! YAY! Now I can move along and do the fun stuff! I have a few questions: - I'm having a religious wedding. Do we still have to be there 3 business days in advance? - How long is the ride to the resort? I've heard it's 2 hours. Is that correct? - I have heard there is no night life at Dreams Tulum. Is that true? Thanks for all of the great information on this forum. If it weren't for y'all I would have never been able to decide!

How freakin cute! Me and my FI have an inside thing with Peanut Butter and Jelly but no one else would have any clue...they would just think we are nuts!! LOL I love it!!!!

If I were a guest I would rather Sunday. Some people may have to go back home on Monday to get back to work. It will be fine, everyday on vacation is great so it doesn't matter if it's a Saturday or a Sunday.

Thanks ladies, all of your information was helpful. Do you guys know if the Dreams resorts allow an outside photographer with just paying the day pass? I don't mind paying the day pass but I really don't want to spend the extra money on a fee the resort wants to tack on. I don't mind flying someone in with us but I'd rather just use someone in RM.

I am still trying to pick a resort and I don't want to run into a road block because the resort won't allow an outside Photographer to come in or make me pay $500. If you are getting married or have gotten married in Riviera Maya or Cancun and the resort allows an outside Photographer, no questions asked, please let me know. Thanks! I just don't want to get stuck like this guy! LOL

I think that resort is going to be amazingly beautiful! The beach will be gorgeous after the construction is done. I'm just afraid with it not even being complete yet that at the time I have my wedding the kinks won't be worked out yet. grrrrr I still don't know what I want yet. Hope I don't put it off too much longer, I'm ready to get married on the beach but just wish I had someone make all of the decisions for me

I am going through the exact same thing! My FH is in the military and he has been stationed 2 hours from where we live now so we are all packed and moving this weekend!!! As long as the things that mean the most to me fit in one box I will keep them but if it requires more space then that I start tossing away. Difficult, I know I actually saw something the other day on TV (can't remember what now) but people have anxiety attacks when they have to let something go. They want to hold on to every memory of their life and if they let that item go to the trash they feel they are losing that memory. Scary! Hope you keep your calm
