He isn't allowed to do projects unless I'm around! Although he did surprise me by painting part of the front porch! Sorry about the hijack there!
  5. I am semi-frugal...I think the junior suite looks great, has a whirlpool tub and plenty of space. I say save the money for a trip later in the year...or an anniversary trip.
  6. Your pics look great! What a fabulous resort and wedding!

  8. Free is good. FI is a computer guy...so I just tell him things I want and he finds someone to copy it from or finds something ridiculously cheap online. Very handy. He is Mr. Dealfinder online.
  9. I thought about going out there to look but I have a friend who wants to be with me when I look at wedding dresses and she is out of town. So we are trying to plan for Feb. I was just going to go with my sister (my only BM). But I figure it would make my friend feel more included if I agreed. And i want to lose 5-10lbs so I don't feel like a cow in a wedding dress.
  10. sounds like photoshop might be worth investing in. will have to tell FI. maybe he can get his hands on it for me.
  11. Welcome to the forum and happy planning!
  12. Congratulations! Love the teaser pics! We are ready for more!
  13. The stuff all looks fabulous. We are all jealous about how pretty they look! And full of great information. One thing though, and maybe it just looks this way on my screen...on your title page...it looks like it says bienenido instead of bienvenido. Didn't know if was typo or not and thought would mention.
  14. We are trying to keep our more casual but I do plan on wearing my dress again. Get my money's worth and plus, I love dressing up. But we are going to just have an ipod and are trying to have it somewhere casual/barnlike so it can take on a more picnic (in November) sort of feeling. We will probably stockpile booze throughout the year and will hire a bartender for the AHR. Haven't gotten as far as catering yet. Have to go look at a site tomorrow and hopefully it will be available.
  15. Your newsletter is fabulous. I just saved it to my wedding ideas file. I also would love to know what program you used.
  16. That is frustrating to have to replace your water heater at a time like this. Think of it this way...if you and your FI can get through tough times like these, you can get through anything. Things will get better.
  17. I just got an email from David's Bridal that the $99 sale is on until Jan 14th. Not sure how it works but I assume that if your dress isn't one of the $99 ones that you still save money during this sale. Does anyone know how often they have these sales? I haven't been paying attention to the emails. I am going to try on dresses sometime in Feb. because I want to lose a little poundage first.
  18. Great review. Your pics look great so far! Congratulations!
  19. I think it is still worth it! A steel band is something guests will always remember. I am getting the mariachi band for my Mexi-wedding and it is around $360 for 45 min. I have to have it though.
