  1. Welcome to the forum and congratulations!
  2. Welcome to the forum! Happy planning!
  3. That's so cool! She does the reading by phone? Poor puppy with cat not being friendly!
  4. I may have to swing by the store (I looked it up last week but we didn't go there...the nephew was fussy and we were hungry). My friend is on a layover here tomorrow so I will drag her and my twin out.
  5. Hi there, Does anyone know what ballpark price the Maggie Sottero dresses run? I saw a few on her website (including one sottero-midgely) that I would love to try on but my goal is to pay less than $500 for the dress. I don't want to go try on the dresses, fall in love with one and have it be out of budget. So, those in the know, please help me. I love this dress http://images.maggiesottero.com/styl.../J/JSM1034.jpg It has a detachable train..which is ideal for me...but I bet it is out of my price range. And it might look terrible on me.

Welcome to the forum! It is a great source of info.

If we decide on a 2 tone dress, it will be indigio with navy trim. She would have any dress we choose made to a tea-lengt dress
  8. Congratulations and welcome to the forum!
  9. I used to live in Orlando too. The flights to the Caribbean are nice and short.
  10. It's tough, isn't Martha? I am going back on Monday with my friend to look again. Definitely get pics because sometimes the dress will photograph different. Make sure whoever takes your pics is standing and not sitting while taking them. Some of mine look wide because my sister was being lazy.
  11. You have to send your birth certificates to the state department for the apostille seal. After translation into spanish on letterhead. Let me find the state dept link. Office of Authentications See if that helps a little. I'm not sure where to get an offical translation. I talked my FI into a JP wedding here a few weeks before we go to Mexico. Took me a few months to convince him.
  12. Congratulations and welcome to the forum! You will find tons of ideas on here.
  13. Welcome to the forum! I read that wrong at first and thought you were undecided on the groom! Glad it was my error!
  14. I am sorry to hear about all that you have had to go through. To give you another perspective, at least your mom is getting to choose her fate and you are honoring her wishes. I would much rather be at home for the end of my life than stuck in an ICU with tubes and wires and ventilators. She will be comfortable and amongst loved ones. I work in an ICU, so I deal a lot with this subject. I will be home around 8p eastern if you need to chat.
  15. I love that first one! It looks gorgeous on you and the lace and detail on the gown are fab.
  16. I told my sister that you girls were going to take care of the selection!
  17. Now bear in mind...my sister wants whichever dress we get to be tea length. I love the indigo color...it is the same color as my bedroom wall!! My sister is my only BM...so we will probably wait until April to make our final decision.
  18. Okay. First here is the color. Indigo We liked the Marilyn Monroe looking dress at the store but feel the other 2 photographed better. The purple-y one would be made into tea length. What are your thoughts? Keep in mind my sister just had a baby in October and plans on losing 10-20lbs for the wedding. So, we probably won't actually order her dress until April-ish.
  19. Okay, here's the dress I think I am going to get. It is ivory, floor length, no train with swarovski crystals (or so they say at Alfred Angelo's) I couldn't find a link to it on their website. I've also included the other one I was interested in which is David's Bridal, also ivory but tea-length. It is very pretty but we think the full length dress is more elegant and formal while still being simple. My sister said the DB one looks like a "very nice party frock." Yep, she called it a frock. Anyhow...here are the pics. details Party frock
