  1. I am pretty sure that you need to have a translated birth certificate with the apostille seal. Check with the wedding coordinator at your hotel. : ) Good luck. We decided to have a JP ceremony before we go.
  2. They sent me pics of the gazebo with all the wedding info. I think it doesn't seem that intimate if you have a lot of guests. If you have small group, everyone is inside gazebo. But with big group, they are all stuck outside far away from you. I think you can choose from any of the wedding sites. You have to have your reception dinner at your hotel restaurants though.

Sorry so much info-ex-ballet dancer here who's going into holistic nutrition study :-) Okay, just for my brain, can I have the why behind all this? I haven't had these probs while dieting (I don't think). I am just reducing carbs, avoiding sugar and desserts. As far as headaches, I get them all the time anyhow so I can pretty much only associate them for sure with hormone changes and crappy spine. I like to know how things work...all about the pathophysiology.

    Intro

Welcome to the forum! It makes us all a teeny bit jealous of the fiancee when the groom joins the forum! Means you are doing some work and helping! Very sweet! (Unless you are just a control freak! Just kidding!)
  5. It is an ivory dress. It is a pale ivory though. Can tell more in person. I absolutely look ghastly in white. Even in ivory, my sister and my friend suggest that we (have to include twin in paleness) book a few tanning sessions before the wedding!

Should be doing stuff like preparing for GREs and looking into what I need to do to get into grad school. So the wedding is my excuse to not do grad school prep stuff...don't want to worry about that at the same time. Besides, I'm stressed out about all this stuff this week. Not sure why now...but the more I can get done and off my list the better. It is nerve wracking to have so many unknowns. Can only plan so much til I know who is all coming to the DW.

I might as well go look at your invites again! ; )
  9. It is a beautiful dress. My only question is...what will you do with the train? Are you a fan of bustles? Does it detach? I am just not a personal fan of bustles. I think all trains should be detachable! They look fab in pics but what to do with after is the tricky part.

  12. This is the hard part of the DW process. I have a lot of people I know are going (at least 16 people) who haven't booked yet. I know it is pretty early for most people to think about my Nov. wedding. And I want to get lots done so that it can be off my list and I can stop stressing out. I'm sure that won't happen for months now. Can't purchase lots of stuff for OOT bags since I don't know how many will be there. A lot of people seem to be choosing a 3night option which might work out better for us. We will have more time to spend with people (and maybe even each other) after we have less people to try and spend time with. It must be something in the air. I have been stressing more the past day or two.
  13. I am glad to have something else checked off my list. Want lots of stuff in the done category!
  14. At our resort, you must arrive 2 days prior to your wedding date for a religious (non-legal) ceremony.
  15. Okay ladies, I went back to the store and tried on several other gowns and kept coming back to this one. The fabric is much prettier than the pics convey. The bridal store lighting is crappy. So here are the pics again. details
  16. We are just staying at our DW hotel for 8 days total. Will have guests there all week but this is the most affordable option for us.

  18. Welcome to the forum! Happy planning!
  19. We are not asking for gifts for the DW. Figure it is enough that they are paying to come celebrate our wedding with us!
  20. I'm searching and searching the resorts and have norrowed my selection down to less than 10 that we are considering. I would like to know: 1) What resort are you getting married at? Gran Bahia Principe Coba 2) What made you decide those? Price was in range we wanted for our guests. Golden apple rating with Apple Vacations. Great reviews on TripAdvisor.com. Newer hotel on same property with two sister hotels. Rooms all junior suites. 3) When is your wedding? Nov 7, 2008 4) Did you have a hard time choosing too? When I first started looking I had 2 other resorts picked out (Barcelo Colonial Beach and Dreams Tulum) but when I started pricing for 2008, those priced too high for me. Thanks!!!!
