  10. It was so romantic! On my family vacation to Portugal my fiancee decided to pop the question About 15 minutes from my village there is a fortified village called Obidos. It's my absolute favorite place on earth. When you walk within the castle walls, you feel like you are living in medieval times. Every house is kept the way it was back in the 1100's.. The streets are only wide enough for horses so no cars are allows in. We had dinner at this tiny outdoor restaurant in one of the narrow roads off the main strip. Afterwards we decided to walk along the castle walks. Its so much fun.. you are high up and you can walk a round the entire town that way. You can see for miles up there.. just green hills everywhere. So when we got up top I started to walk along in front of him (at night it can be a lil scary bc you are pretty high up and nothing to stop you from falling down lol) I was taking a peek through the wall when I turn around and he's on his knees. He asked me in Portuguese to marry him (he's not Portuguese so he practiced from those translation web sites haha) but at that moment I didn't hear a word he said.. I just kept going,"Omg... omg..... omg!" [smile] [smile] Here's a link to where it was.. since this is a virtual tour type of pic, where he proposed was right behind the lady in red, standing at the top of the wall. Obidos2
  11. i have short hair myself and going nuts to grow it out.. if not, oh well. I'm sure my hairstylist can make it beautiful regardless
  12. My travel agent tried telling me that but when she quoted some places for me, I went onto Expedia and it was still cheaper lol
  13. If you want peace and quiet go to Kauai.. If you want more action, then Maui is better. In my opinion, Kauai is the most magical gorgeous place on earth. Either choice, you'll love both places.
