  6. Hi ladies! I've been swamped since my return and it just takes so long to get all of the photo's resized and uploaded that I haven't been able to do it. I'm also getting so many requests for the photo's that I just don't have the time to send them to everyone and take care of my clients, who are always my first priority that I can only send the pics via email to those who are booking with me. Sorry guys as I know that you all love pictures! Add to that I am sponsoring an Exclusive BDW -Sand & Sun Vacations/Sandals, Destination Wedding trip for 10 potental Sandals DW couples to Ocho Rios in October and a site visit to Riviera Maya in August to meet with wedding coordinators and tour the new Secrets and Azul properties ( plus meet Gabby at Dreams cancun and a few other resorts)- oy vey! I'm hoping that later this summer I'll have time to get the pics up as I really do want to share with all of you and also finish the reviews!

    I'm new!

My vote would be for Royal Caribbean- one of the new ships with all the bells and whistles! Lots of fun, something for everyone and plenty of space to spread out! My second choice would be Princess- a little more sedate but great food and service! Contact TA DINA as she does a lot of cruise ship weddings !
  9. The other nice thing about the Lindo is that you can play at the Del Mar and such but they do not have exchange privledges with the Lindo!
  10. It depends on which Iberostar property but other suppliers/ tour operators carry them as well! I have a wedding I am working on to Iberostar Lindo right now! As far as the Iberostar forum- I was invited to join as an Iberostar specialist- however it was a pay to post type of situation and there was no criteria as to professionalism, experience so forth, basically you pay your money and are called an Iberostar specialist, a little scary and not a situation that I wanted to associate with. At any rate Iberostar's are great properties!
  11. Welcome to the forum & congratulations! If you need any help just let me know!
  12. Sorry you've had some trouble- I've been emailing with Gaby regularly for a few brides and haven't had any problems with a quick reply- in fact heard from her on Friday with questions and changes on contracts that were requested on Wednesday! Good luck as I am sure you'll get an answer eventually- they are there and working!

  16. If you haven't booked it yet send a PM to TA Maureen- she's a ROR bride and also a travel agent and can assist with those kind of questions!
  17. I completely understand! Maybe try the Azul resorts for the wedding and go to ERC for the honeymoon. Azul resorts are getting very favorable reviews!
  18. The other thing that the TA will do is assist in keeping track of your guest- who booked , when they arrive and depart. You'll have a list to do seating charts from and for OOT bags if your doing them. Plus it helps to be able to hand it to the WC at the resort!

  21. Greetings to all: History was made when Jamaica’s first year-round resort - and first beach resort - opened in 1949. Tower Isle Hotel became an instant landmark and a haven for movie stars and famous celebrities in the 1950s and 1960s. Recognizing a market gap in the tourism sector, owner Abe Issa charted a new course for the resort by introducing a new concept in 1978: The first all-inclusive resort for couples only. The resort was aptly renamed Couples Ocho Rios. From 1978 to 2008, Couples Ocho Rios has enticed tens of thousands of romantically inclined couples to experience her Old World charm and world-class service. For thirty years she has created emotional connections so satisfying that many of her loyal returning guests do not consider Couples Ocho Rios a vacation place, but rather as “homeâ€. Now, as Couples invests nearly $22 million in upgrades, enhancements and renovations a new era is set to begin for the Grand Lady. To reinforce the history of this landmark resort, Couples Ocho Rios will re-open on December 15, 2008 as… Drum Roll, Please… Couples Tower Isle!
  22. My heart broke when I first heard about this story! It's so sad on so many levels. I also became upset with the parents- how could they not realize that this was going on? It only took the school a few questions to get to the root of the problem ( the pact) how did none of the parents get a clue? There was a girl in my oldest daughters sophmore class that was pregnant this year - when she told me about it we had several long talks about teen preganancy, her goals for the future and the repercussion of certain choices and that I understood that it's a natural response and could be hard to say no if she got into cetain situations but that she had to be the strong one- we also talked about how to stay out of those situations ( and I as a parent would do everything in my power to keep her out of those situations!). This wasn't the first time that we talked about the issue (we've had age appropriate discussions for years now) and certainly won't be the last. Honestly I hate having to talk about it, but I know that the way things are now with advertising and such that I have no choice if I want my daughter to 1) know exactly how I feel about teens & sex and 2) impart out family values 3) open the lines of communication.
  23. I heard that the interisland flights have doubled and in some cases have gone up more than that! This was when all the airlines were going out of business this spring- such as Aloha, Ata, Frontier - and last month when I was pricing out a two island anniversary vacation the interisland air was double the normal price - perhaps in the last month pricing has settled back down ? When were you there last and took your flights? Also airfare usually is less expensive from NYC than from Michigan! daniel & Derek- for next year I wouldn't worry so much about the $7000 price tag - depending on how you like to vacation but it certainly can be done for less. Personally I'll probably not do a condo again- it was a pain having to grocery shop, cook and clean on vacation- I probably spent half of my time on the island doing that!! However we had two of my girls with me and also my Dad so it would be completely different for just two people. I still say have them budget for alot and if the vacation comes in less great! But this way if prices do go up the way that they've been, they can still go!
  24. Secrets Capri is wonderful- you'll really enjoy it there! When I was there I saw them setting up for a wedding on both the beach and also at the gazebo. I loved that they had the runner on the beach lined with shells and starfish! I've never had a complaint from any of the clients that I've sent there- they all come back with glowing reviesw! But you have to want a smaller to moderate size intimate resort ! If you want something a little more active I'd recommend Excellence Riviera Maya! If you need any help just shoot me a PM!
