Having a baby after you turn 35 years old? Does age really matter?
Celina replied to samanthag's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
I had my son when I was 34. Like everyone else says, it's the increased risk of Downs and genetics...blah, blah blah. If you are in good health, aren't overweight and are pretty active, I think you'll be fine. Don't let em scare you. -
Marie Sam, I say do it. We had our ceremony at 5:30 which was right before sunset. I have some nice pics with me and the rest of the bridal parties and my parents and kids - but none of me and DH. In hindsight I would have had the photog take pics of me and him prior. Once the ceremony was over, the photographer was getting mad because everyone was taking pics and the flashes were all going off at the same time and his pictures were coming out too bright. I say do it before the make up smears and your nose turns red from crying. My siggy pic is the only pro pic of me and DH alone. DO IT!!

Amy and Erica - please accept my sincerest sympathies. My gosh, you guys have a lot going on now. This too shall pass.

OMG Sylvia - I am totally freaked out. I am going to do some research on bed bugs. During our stay at the RIU I kept getting these bites on my legs and I wonder if that's what they were!! I am so grossed out! The weird thing was only me and the baby got them. All were mostly on our legs. OMG - I am off to research. Something to definitely watch out for. I am so sorry this happened to you.

Well I got our wedding pics from Severine and they turned out so great!!! I'm not one to like pics of myself, but I like these ones. We got all our pics plus extra TTD pics (96 instead of 30), we got our video, DVD slide show, DVD of pics, our album and our painting. When she was coming to give us the rest of our stuff on Thurs before we left, she passed the painter and he gave her the painting to bring us!!! We picked up our comp yesterday and it still doesn't work, so I may borrow my Mom's laptop to do my pics and everything. Eeeek! That is exciting Erica! Can't wait to see pics! Tara, we plan on going out the last week of March. I hope the weather is nice and gas prices are somewhat low so we can drive. I think it's a 13 hour drive from Denver. I want some of that Arizona heat right now, it's 15 below zero! Good luck with the paint! I still haven't started!

Here are my decorations: My DH gave this ornament to me on our first Christmas together. Hard to believe that was 7 years ago! Wowie! That wreath above the fireplace is gorgeous! I love all that festive color!

Yeah me too! Now I figured out who Gretchen looks like....Beth...Howard Stern's wife. I wanted to see scenes from Vicki's trip to Puerto Vallarta...they totally skipped over that! Poor Jeff. Did you guys see how she was talking to his daughter? I wonder what his worth was and if she'll get any $$$. I spent an hour yesterday afternoon reading the Housewives of ATL's blog.

i confess that for the last hour I have been reading the Real Housewives of ATL Blogs. My eyes are burning from staring at the computer so long. I am going home!

I LOVE this show. I think Vicki has a ton of drive and ambition, but she treats her husband like crap. I hope Jeana gets rid of her husband. He is a chump! She deserves better. This is one of my favorite shows. Last week they showed some old photos of Lauri as she was talking about her son and OMH- you wouldn't recognize that it was her she has had so much plastic surgery. I had to replay it and pause it to take a second look. I always thought Jo and Slade were so much drama...it was draining for me! I like to see what Tamara is up to - she is a nut!

So geeze, I deserve a pair of pants, or two, and maybe a new sweater to match. That is funny...I did the same thing yesterday except I stuck the shirts and earrings in my purse and took it with me upstairs to the bedroom and tucked the bag in the back of the closet...hehe!! I can never tell him that I found out before hand, or else he'd be so crushed. Yikes! I just couldn't help myself because he was building it up so freaking much, and it was driving me CRAZY!!! You know you cant leave us hanging...come on girl...what was it

OMG Helen - that is awesome! YAY for Katie! Her and Chris should go and take pics of them by the windows. I'm proud for you!

What great/ridiculous product have you bought off an infomercial?

This year I wanted to do an "As Seen on TV" White Elephant gift exchange. Everyone thought it was a good idea but I'm not sure if we are doing it or not. -
Okay here's my confession: We are doing a fundraiser here at work to help out the girl who used to work here before me. She left here 8 - yes EIGHT years ago to save on daycare for her then 5 year old daughter. She left here to work nights at night court. When she used to work here she pretty much walked on water and could do no wrong. So when I came in, she had been gone for like 3 months and the place was a wreck. Everything in this building was outdated and the files were a wreck. Well, every time I would call to ask her something she was always snotty and rude to me. THEN - she would come in like 3 times a month to have lunch with the guys. She would never speak, just stick her nose in the air and walk on by. She was also really good friends with the guys who gave me the hardest time, treated me the rudest, and reminded me that "Janice did it this way" and "Janice was so great". One guy even went as far to tell me that I had big shoes to fill. Not all of the men were nice when I first started. Some of the conflict I had with the guys I thought was racial, but then I thought that maybe they were just being loyal to her. I basically had to prove myself to these guys and now we get along great and they are like the brothers I never had. SO - fast forward to now - apparently her family has fell on hard times and from what I hear her and her husband may lose their home and she now has a 3 year old daughter who has diabetes. SO my boss has decided that we should raise money and ask for donations to help her and her family out. The guys I work with are great and are so giving and generous. For example, for wedding gifts I have recieved almost $400 in cash and gifts. They are really wonderful guys. I am not jealous of her in any way shape or form, but I feel like she is one of those people who thrive off of sympathy and she always seems to create her own problems and basically I just don't like her because of what happened when I first started and the way she treated me. SO - my confession is that I am not thrilled at all to keep telling the guys that ask, "So what are you collecting money for?"..her pitiful story. I want to tell them how rude and nasty she was towards me and that her bad karma has finally came back to her. (I know...that is SO mean).

Just stay positive and remember that the ones not going (that don't have a good excuse) aren't really worth breaking your heart over. Ya know? Totally agree! Enjoy those that are there and who gives a flip about those who missed out! Your wedding is all they will be talking about when they get back! Matt thinks its soooo funny that I'm like "oh, Celina had 70 shitheads not show for her AHR and Casey is coming to Dallas and Andrea had 4 more people book at the last minute!". I tell him about my day - which includes all of yall So thanks to you all for being there and listening to my wedding stuff (and sharing yours!). I would probably lose a few friends if I talked to them about my wedding as much as I talk to yall! Awww...any time! I feel the same way! I just got back from sneaking out and going to buy a new outfit and some boots for my daughter and a new computer printer for our new computer that will be sent to my house tomorrow or Friday! That is too funny! I had to get a new outfit cause I am taking my daughter to High School Musical 3 tonight. I have to look a little hip to hang out with the kiddos. Tara - what are you painting? Michelle - wow - that is a lot to have on your plate. I'm sure things will get better soon. HEY - Tara is in AZ too! We are going to Arizona in March by the way. Hmmm...maybe me and Tara can hook up then for lunch or something - that would be cool! I love your siggy pic too Michelle. Steph - what new job did you start? I'm anxious to hear!

Wonderful ideas Mishka! I would do the talavera in a heartbeat if I could do it all over again! When we were in PV I had the HARDEST time finding frames that weren't .....um...shall I say...tacky? We ended up buying some pewter frames at the market to bring home. Where did you find yours I love them!

I LOVE me some Charlie Brown! Then again I'm like Marie Sam - I get way too excited when it comes on for Halloween, Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving... I even call all my friends and family to tell them it's on. I recorded it last night and watched it twice while baking cookies!
