  1. Great idea for the saying Neen! I made these little wraps that went around our post it notes that said "Love Notes".
  2. We did personalized M&M's and took them unopened to Mexico. I had my BM's add them to these little palm tree boxes. They did fine in the heat. We put them on our guest book table at the dinner reception.
  3. Are you doing OOT bags? I added some kid stuff to the kids attending our wedding. We stood at an AI so I gave them their own cups with straws, little card games, crayons, coloring books, gum. For dinner we gave them and our kiddos a "Cars" bag with crayons, paper, stickers and glow sticks. It kept them entertained through dinner.
  4. I think this is great! You are prepared girl! Unlike me who was too focused on everything else to even think about speeches. I did give one at our AHR but it didn't have the same effect as in Mexico.
  5. We worked with two W/C's at an AI. We gave each of them OOT bags, a music CD and tipped them $50 each.
  6. Even though our sand got all smushed up and swirled around, we brought back our little part of the beach with us in our sand ceremony vase. It now sits on a little ledge with a pic of us next to it. I brought back lots of silver/pewter bowls, serving dishes and picture frames. I figured since we didn't do china, our kids can fight over who gets the mexican wedding dishes when we get old and tire of entertaining! LOL!
  7. 1. Fraggle Rock 2. Punky Brewster 3. Knots Landing 4. Growing Pains 5. Charlie's Angels
  8. WOW - these are goregous! Everything looks amazing! I love the colors - Like Abbie said, they look fresh! The monogram is beautiful - well done!
  9. The hot sand can be an issue. I wore flip flops down the aisle. I could feel the sand creeping in and it was slightly uncomfortable. Sand is awkward anyway to walk in without shoes. Like someone else said, practice the day before and see what you think.
  10. Yeah - the passport thing can be a pain for some. Eventually they will come around. My dad initially said that he wasn't going. He did end up going and could now be an ambassador for Puerto Vallarta. He LOVED it. I say stay focused on the prize and do what's right for you.
  11. If Mantilla is what you are looking for, try oceaneasydesigns.com You can even send them a pic of what you want and they will do it for you or will tell you if they can do it.
  12. The bags at Promotional tote bags custom sizes and styles from cheap totes are good. The thing is, how much stuff do you want to lug down with you? The boxes are okay, but people will throw them out. If you want something they can use again, go with cheaptotes. Their bags are around 99 cents each and don't smell. I would say just order them from cheaptotes if it is something you want to just get crossed off your list. The prices don't go down past 99cents. The woven bag from target is cute, but if you are making 20 bags, that is A LOT of bulk. You have a baby (that I assume you are taking with) babies have enough to take. Why stress yourself out with OOT bag stuff? You can make a transfer onto iron on paper and iron them on the bags, or get pre-made iron ons and use those if you want to jazz up the plain bags. People will use the bags versus the boxes. We always saw our guests with our bags, carrying around their miscellany stuff.
  13. We had our wedding at RIU Vallarta. It was very inexpensive for an AI. You can have your wedding off-site and have the guests stay there.
  14. This year I am going to resolve my differences with my sister. I am going to work on losing weight and being nicer to myself and my body by eating better and getting more exercise. I am going to enjoy my kids more and be more organized.
  15. I confess that I haven't done crap all day. I've been on BDW, went and got me some lunch and came back and am still on BDW.
  16. OMG Dez - I can't believe it's almost your turn! Let us know if you need anything at all! We are here for you! I am so excited for you! My DH said he was going to do the sacred heart diet after the first of the year...it totally reminded me of you when we did it earlier in the year! I hope all is well and you have an amazing wedding!!
  17. OMG Jess - glad everyone is okay and you still got some dinner out of it!
  18. DH just told me earlier this morning that he had to work. (He is a bar manager/bartender) - so whatever. Yes I'm bummed. SO I am going to have my daughters friend spend the night. If it's not too windy we will roast marshmallows on the fire pit, watch movies, eat some other obnoxious crap and they can pop some left over 4th of July poppers. That's it for us. We usually go to a great steakhouse on New Years day for lunch, so that's what we'll be doing.
  19. i hope everyone had a wonderful holiday - whichever one it is - I hope it was a great one filled with friends, family and love.
  20. Okay - that last picture shows what a freakin' idiot she is!! OMG - I'll say a prayer that she gets it right this time!
  21. Nicole - you did a terriffic job! Great color choice and the design is awesome! Yay!
  22. I too was shocked at how the new housewife was with her daughter. She is kind of weird. Did you see her spray tan party? And the daughter got mad because the other daughter went in twice? OMG - really people?! She seems kind of out of it or like she is high or something. I can't wait to see this weeks. From what I've seen on the previews I guess Jeana brings her designer friend (the one who burned Vicki on the rental house) on their trip to Havasue. Did anyone catch what Tamara's son tattooed on his lip?
  23. Waaahhh! I'm crying because we should have done this! This place looks SO charming! You guys will have a wonderful time and will absolutely love your time away from the guests. It looks amazing and some place I want to check out when we go back to PV. I am in love with it!
  24. Mishka - beautiful cakes! Thanks for sharing! I agree with you about Pie in the Sky. Their staff NEVER got back with me. Well, I decided to take my chances and go with the hotel baker. We had a three layer cake. Bottom layer was chocolate, midle was strawberry and top was vanilla. The frosting was like a whipped cream and the cake was delicious! We paid $100 for it. (Each layer was $50 and we got the top for free). I gave them a picture of what I wanted and I thought they did an amazing job. The topper was ours as was the pedestal. The cake board they used was a little big, but it was better than I imagined. They just added the fresh flowers.
