Great job on the bags! -

I agree with Carly and Nicole here. Put them away for a few days, and if when you go back to look at them and you still aren't happy with how they look, and they are something you absolutely must have; pay to have them done. ALSO - you have to consider...are people really going to keep them? I know you hope they will and would think they would... KWIM?

Mike and I did the City Chase Challenge in Chicago yesterday...... OMG Michelle - I am the same way! I put on a tank yesterday and about passed out! My arms have grown wings! HELL NO - I am starting the workout ball and some arm weights ASAP! The City Chase Challenge sounds fun - but I'm with you.. No pull ups, running through the mud, or strip bowling haha! We had friends overlast night and I feel like I have a slight hangover. We had a good time - except for the mosquitoes. Maybe I'm just tired. I went all day yesterday. I was up at 5am doing laundry, cleaning and cooking. I had to get the postage for my invites so I could get them out tomorrow. Actually, I can just send them out today if I run to the Post Off. We cleaned our carpets and they look fab! I love them. I was up at 6am to come in to work today. UGH!

I cleaned up our patio, put some new pillows on the furniture and am going to string some lights tonight. We're having an appetizer pot luck. Sunday I am coming to work to get some stuff done. I'll be home alone Sunday night - FI is going to a Fantasy Football draft.

I'm here! I have been busy trying to reach my goals of accomplishments for the week. PLUS - It's DNC craziness here right now...but that's another story. ANYHOW - I have to tell someone this or I am going to burst. I'll try to make it as short as I can...... When I was almost 4 years old my mom died. My bio mom and dad were separated at the time. My dad was dating a lady who eventually became my stepmom. She had 5 kids - we grew up sort of like the Brady Bunch. Growing up, she was my mom and I never saw her differently. I never referred to her as my step mom - she was always mom. Her kids were our sisters and brother (she had 4 daughters and 1 son). The daughters lived with us from time to time, but her son never really did. In my early 20's my parents divorced. (here's where it gets yucky) As her kids grew up they always had drama. I started seeing favoritism with my mom and her biological grandkids versus me and my younger sis's kids and didn't like it. Slowly my younger sis and I drifted apart from her and our step sisters. In 2005 She got really sick with her pancreas and was in the hospital for 8 months. I knew she was in the hospital and didn't see her. She eventually passed away and that has been almost 3 years ago. It was actually almost two weeks after I had my son. (He'll be 3 - Dec. 12th) My younger sister and I agreed that we would not go to her funeral. I sent a huge flower arrangement, but did not go. I must say that this has been the biggest regret of my life. Now that my younger sis and I aren't talking I have had time to reflect on a lot of things. One of them being the fact that I grew up with these girls as my stepsisters and went through a lot of life experiences with them, and we no longer speak. I know that part of it has to do with the fact that younger sis and I have cut our ties with eachother, and my older sis and I have nothing in common so I am really searching for some "family" to connect with. Well, over the past two months I have really wanted to see my step sisters and talk to them and see how they are. They all had kids and their kids were my nieces and nephews growing up and I haven't seen them either. I mentioned all of this to my dad last week and he said, "Celina - some things are better left as they are." Meaning - don't call them - get over it. Well - I had to reach out today because it has been so heavy on my mind and heart that I couldn't take it anymore. I called a friend who knows them and I actually got a phone number for one of my nephews. So I call the number and he answered. I said, "Hi is this Jose?" - he said "yes" - I said, "this is Celina". He goes, "Celina?....Celina.....AUNTIE CELINA?!!" I said "yes". He was so excited he could have jumped through the phone! I just started bawling. We talked for a while and he gave me my step sister's phone number. I called it and her daughter answered. She was excited to talk to me too. She said her mom gets home at 2:30 (ten minutes ago). She said she would give her my number and have her call me, or I could call her back. My question after this whole long story is....should I tell my dad or not? What was sad is the two kids I spoke to (who are now in their 20's) both asked about my dad and said to tell him hi. He was the only grandfather they knew. My dad has a new wife (yes - wife #3) and she is kind of insecure about the step kids so my dad has always stood away. When the step kids have seen her, they are always overly nice to her to make her feel comfortable, but it is still awkward. What should I do? I am thinking of just keeping my little secret all to myself.

Maura's professional photos!
Celina replied to Maura's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
Wow Maura....how beautiful! Everything looks amazing! I didn't realize your dress had such a beautiful train! OMG - everything was SO beautiful! That property is goregous! What a beautiful day! The lasso was beautiful! Everything looked perfect! Congrats Mrs. H -
Waaah...I'm too late! I would have suggested some "Junie B. Jones" books. You can buy like a 5 pack at Sam's Club for very reasonable.

Oh Steph, Honey, I am so, so sorry for all that you are going through right now. My heart just aches hearing that this is happening. That strong spirit and drive that you have as a police officer will always be a part of who you are. That drive and determination will guarantee success at your next venture in life. I wish I was there to give you a great big hug because you sound so heartbroken and defeated. Just know that you can cry on my shoulder any time. After the 15th, take some time off and get your thoughts together. I was thinking, have you ever thought about working with your local Sheriff's department or a correctional facility for youth or women? Maybe something where you can still serve, but on a different level? I know you mentioned that you wanted to go into the travel agent business, but just something for thought. Keep in touch and know that you are in my prayers. Love ya, Celina

Oh Jamie, I am so sorry that this is going on! I am such a freak about my face because I have sensitive skin and honestly, I dont even like people touching my face, or even kissing my cheek because it grosses me out. I would say if Proactiv worked in the past, maybe you should try again. I use it and my pre-teen daughter uses it too because her face was breaking out really bad. I have seen a complete turn around in her skin in just two weeks. I know it's not organic, but if it worked before?.... Sometimes you can find unopened packages for sale on Craigslist for pretty cheap. Sorry if I wasn't any help.

Diva Cup / Instead Cup - tampon / pad alternative
Celina replied to boscobel's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
WOW - Diva Cup - Schmeeva Cup...this thread is a trip! Michelle - what kind of pill are you on so you don't have a period?? I want it! I am SO dreading the thought of Aunt Flo coming to my wedding! Mother Nature pawned her ass off on me on our last vacation - and she didn't leave until the day before we left! That Biotch better stay far away this time! This whole thing reminds me to call my Dr to see what I can do. I hate tampons and pads too! The one time I tried a tampon, I got SO SICK. I don't know if I put it in wrong or what, but I got a fever, cramps, a dull achy feeling, cold sweat...It was NOT good. I've never tried them since. Sorry if TMI. -

They never find anything good and that freakin Irish guy always sees shadows that only HE SEES! He totally gets everyone all scared for no reason! It is so irritating! Sorry Mel - missed Paranormal State

GIIIIIRRRLLL.....TELL - ME - ABOUT IT! I can't remember the last time I drank a soda. I actually don't even miss it. I am drinking nothing but water. This weekend I will probably veer from the plan because FI wants to do a game night at our house and with everyone bringing appetizers...Lord knows what they'll bring! I wonder where Steph has been. After ordering the M&M's I ordered a flowergirl basket and some palm tree table number holders and another bridesmaid iron on so I could be done with that project. I found these cute iron on palm trees at Michaels to add to my "Bride" tank. My to-do list is getting shorter! Yikes - I am starting to get nervous. We have 80 days to go!

Erica, your jewlery is SO pretty! I can't wait to see the pics of your BD shoot! Good news guys...I think I am losing some weight! My clothes aren't so tight and I had some shorts on the day before yesterday and when I went to the bathroom - I noticed I could just pull them down without un-bottoning! I'm not eating much, but if I could get my arse in gear and exercise I would do better. I am ordering my custom M&M's today - so one more thing crossed off the list!

Hi Ladies! I've been kind of lurking on this thread for a while now. I am actually kind of an October bride. Our legal day is October 31st and our Mexico day is November 8th! October is right around the corner! You guys are on the ball! Quote: Originally Posted by limon_b * Still need to purchase gift for FI. They are VERY nice. They came in a great box with all the paperwork and everything. I am actually going to go on Overstock and buy him a watch as a gift as well Good luck! ~Celina

Did you guys actually jump in the pool? GREAT pictures - thank you for sharing! ~Celina

Mariachi prices at an All-Inclusive
Celina replied to Mrs. Martin's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
OMG SISTA! I AM FEELING YOUR PAIN!! We too are getting stuck with the $700 price tag for 45 minutes at RIU Vallarta. They won't even let us bring in another mariachi. I am going to wait until we get there to see if the mariachi's are playing the night of our wedding. All I want is for them to walk with us from the hotel lobby to the restaurant and play a couple of songs then leave. My dad is in charge of this. I am hoping he can slip the mariachi's $200 and just have them do what we want and then go on about their business. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is the only suggestion I have found. There is no way around the RIU policies. The price is totally outrageous! -

Most of our guests are actually family friends and my co-workers that are coming. Yep same as us...mostly FI's family and our friends. OMG I am so excited for your BD Pics!! Maybe cover up with a sheet or some fabric or something. How exciting!! Are you wearing a veil? Maybe a pic with a veil on and some strategically placed sheets! (Alyssa did this and her pics were so cute!)
