I was thinking of bringing one for the wedding night. We'll have the kids with us so we can't be too "intimate". His mom will have them a couple of nights with her - but for the most part we'll have them.

Holly Madison leaving Hef for Chriss Angel!
Celina replied to TammyWright's topic in Celebrity Gossip!
Yeah - Rach is right. Hmmm...I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens to Holly and her belovid Puffin's. Kendra engaged - how could that have happened? She is funny, but her laugh reminds me of Sponge Bob Square Pants! -
Oh Erica, that is so wonderful that your cousin can make it! How sweet! I found this cute website yesterday. I was looking for some boxes to put the embroidered handkerchiefs that I got for the moms, my MOH, daughter and aunt. It's Wholesale Gift Boxes and Retail Gift Boxes, Bayley's Boxes, A Gift Box for Any Occasion I think I'm going to use the round ones with flowers to put the hankies in. My list is getting shorter too! This past week the excitement has started to mount. Everyone around us is asking about the wedding. I have some small stuff to do - like a final count of OOT bag stuff. I scheduled a facial, eyebrow waxing and plan to schedule my make up trial for the afternoon of my Bach party. I just looked at my list - all I have left for the Mexico wedding is: finish corsages, decorate blumeboxes, buy a sash for daughters dress, get my dress alterations, buy a big suitcase, find a smaller bag for my dress. (Do any of you need a big white dress bag? - if so it's yours. If not I'll sell it when I'm done. I have a tea length dress and it's much too big for my dress) and the last thing to do is pay for the limo to and from the airport. OH YEAH....I need to lay off the sugar and pop and start pumping in the water, fruits and veggies!

Then we took off and went shopping downtown where there were some really cute shops. Came back and napped a little and then had a taxi van pick us up for a night on the town. We danced and drank and just had a blast. Went to one bar where all the Detroit Red Wing hockey players were at (this is their training camp week) so got my picture taken with one All and all a great weekend. Everyone says how they want to go back and rent the same house on the lake next year. So, definitely a fun girls trip. Oh, also my BM's loved their gifts so I was pretty happy about that. Lordy, Lordy that sounds like a blast! Yeah - we want pics! How fun! Well, I have had a minor invitation fiasco. I have found out over the past few days that some people who I sent invites to - DID NOT GET THEM! I took an invitation with all of the inserts, etc to the post office and asked the lady how much for postage. She said 59 cents and I bought 100 - .59cent stamps and mailed them out. WELL - I got my grandmothers invite back and it said it needed .41 cents additional postage. One of my dads friends from work said they got a notice in the mail that said they had an envelope at the post office that was .41 cents COD. WTF? My old boss said he never got his! SO now - I am having to call people who haven't RSVP'd to even see if they got their invitation in the first place. Not only is this embarrasing - but i have to explain it to everyone and why did some people get their invites fine and others have problems? It is so freakin ridiculous! Not to mention the cost of invitations and postage only for people not to get them! The only good thing is that the people I regretted inviting who haven't RSVP'd - I'm not calling them! They are off the list - HA HA!! I am most concerned with the RSVP's because we need a head count for food for our AHR. I know who is going to Mexico so that isn't an issue. We have 69 adults and 29 kids already RSVP'd for our AHR. Since FI and I are paying for all of the food at our AHR, we needed an estimate sooner rather than later so we know what food to buy. We are going to the church on Saturday to check things out. I am starting to get excited. I still have no idea on what to do for centerpieces.

Wow Jenny - very dramatic and sexy! I love the dramatic-ness of it - and think they are totally you - BUT - I think the holder part is really big. What if you took them out of the cone and just wrapped them with ribbon? What are your other accent colors?

BM Dresses... how far in advance?
Celina replied to *Casey*'s topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I would get them when you can as some dresses are seasonal and you may get a better price off-season or at the end of the season. In my case I had to find a dress that fit a whole range of bodies - from regular size to plus size, so for me getting a dress in the color I wanted was a chore. If you've found a dress and they have it in all sizes, that's good. I can understand wanting to wait for the weight loss because you then may end up paying more in alterations if you buy too big or too small. (Sorry if I wasn't any help) - it is a hard judgement call. I would definitely give them a timeline for their weight loss so that you have enough time. -
You are too funny!

Congrats Mishka! You know us girls - we need pics! I hope all went well and you and your little angel are doing well! Congratulations!

WOW Yari - your turn already! I love all of your stuff - the cake toppers freakin' rock! Everything looks elegant and beautiful and shows your wonderful taste! What's going in those welcome bags? I love your Pash's - I am kicking myself for not getting in on an order! You look like a princess in that gown - Brian is going to FLIP!

My Surprise Bridal Shower Was Sunday
Celina replied to DanielleNDerek's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Oh YAY Danielle! Thanks for posting! How awesome! They really went out! I love the candle holders by your cake - OMG and that cake looks YUMMY! Did you and your mom mean to match? How cute! They did a really good job and you look good! - Cute dress! OH YEAH - I love those frames the pics are in too! -
Oh my poor sweetie! RJ is going to love you no matter what. We have been engaged for over a year and I honestly just threw the towel in! If I lose it, so what - if I don't - SO WHAT!! Like someone else said - take your dress in and get it altered so that it fits you in the most flattering way. Go to JC Penny's and get one of those chubb-sucker-inners that I found, find a good bra for the girlies and enjoy your day! Don't waste your time stressing about it. You are so deserving of a break right now. Enjoy your vacation with your new hubby and stop worrying about it! I was never skinny, always a "bigger" girl, and I tried so hard to lose weight to try to "meet someone".... and that is not what matters! I wish someone had told me all those years!!! As time goes on, do it for your health after the wedding, but enjoy that day, you so deserve it!! I totally agree with what J said!

OMG - someone just came in to check at what I was hootin' about in here!! MY GOD - I am laughing out loud - you guys are freakin awesome! Quote: Originally Posted by JessicaLovesBrian Oh god. What kind of crack is she smoking? Call me a bad mommy, but I'm pretty sure I can live without knowing the look in my child's when he sees Thomas coming. And this free pass nonsense wouldn't fly with me. This is not a family function. This is an activity you were roped into. AN ACTIVITY........That is EXACTLY the word I was looking to find!!! - Jessica - I love you!!! THANK YOU - I think they think because my son's name is Tomas - that he should automatically love the train thing....NOT!!! He likes cars and things that crash! Not choo-choo's! Quote: Originally Posted by carly No way man. A "free pass" would mean that you decided you would rather sit at home or go shopping (or what the eff ever!) instead of going to the family function. And sure if that is what you were doing, then he would be entitled to his own "get out of family function for free" ticket. But you are WORKING. Totally not comparable. I think he needs to step up and miss football (ever heard of DVR?) and go with HIS aunt. And then YOU deserve the "free pass" since you had to WORK instead of going out with your son! That's what I told him. I said - okay - the only way you get out of something is if you have to work - which he has done in the past with school carnivals, PTO meetings, etc. This DOES NOT count! Family time is all 4 of us going. This is an activity with one child. NOT a "Family Function". AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!! -
Okay - I thought I'd let you guys hear the story and let me know what you think because we can't agree (sorry so long) Almost 2 months ago FI's aunt asked if we wanted to take our 2 year old with her and her grandson to see Thomas the Train. My initial reaction was no because our son doesn't really like Thomas and I didn't want to spend $40 on tickets. PLUS - Thomas the Train stuff is expensive, and honestly; I don't want to go down that road. We told her no since we have all of our money tied up with the wedding so thanks but no thanks. After a couple of days she calls and asks FI if she could take him with her and she would buy his ticket. We say sure - if you want to take him fine. I call her two weeks ago and ask what date they were going because we have wedding stuff going on and need to plan our schedules accordingly - PLUS - I have been working on Saturday or Sundays depending on my schedule (If I run errands and do stuff on Saturday then I work on Sunday and vice versa). She calls back and tells FI that "every mom should see the look in their childs eyes when they see Thomas coming and it is something they shouldn't miss". SO she bought me a ticket. She told me the date and at the time and at the time; I figured I would work on Saturday and I told her I would go (even though I really don't want to). At that time she asked me if my son was watching the Thomas video and playing with the train she bought him. I told her no, he wasnt and that our son doesn't really like Thomas and that he wasn't really into it. WELL - on Friday I saw her and she reminded me that Thomas was this coming up Sunday. I told her, "Oh crap - On Saturday we have to meet at the AHR location to go over linen and set up; and on Sunday I have to work". - ALL of this is true. The schedule to go to the AHR location has to be Saturday because of their schedules and my dad's schedule and to me it is way more of a priority than Thomas the freakin' Train and if I have to work Sunday - so be it! I don't have rich parents like her. FI and I are paying for our whole wedding ourselves. His grandmother gave us $100 towards the cake and his mom is paying for the Rehearsal Dinner. In my opinion, if I can make over $40 an hour to work overtime - HELL FREAKIN YEAH - I'm going to do it! NOT to mention she is COSTING us $70 to pay for her daypass because she is staying at a timeshare instead of the wedding hotel....but I won't even go there!! Needless to say now she is mad. All she said is, "Well now I have this extra ticket." and went into the house mad. Let me take this time to point out that FI won't go because football is on. SO - FI thinks that since I am using work as my excuse to not go so he should get a "free pass" to get out of any future "family function". I think it's the term "Free Pass" that is irking me. I say if you don't want to go - then don't go. He keeps trying to twist my words to make it seem like this is a "family function" when to me it isn't. To me it's not a "family function" - it's me going with his aunt to take her grandson and my son to see Thomas the Train. To me a "family function" involves our whole family unit - me him and both kids. Since neither one of us is going - technically we are both getting a "free pass" aren't we? He said that now I know how it feels like to have someone ride my ass when they dont' want to do something. My point is that since he isn't even going in my place why should he be getting a "free pass". I could see if he was giving up his football Sunday - but he's not. I think he is trying to get over on me!!

Hi Ladies! Leave it up to me - your resident deal searching bride - to find something more budget friendly than Spanx! Well, in my search for something to hold in the flub under my dress....I came across these at JC Penny JCPenney : CONTROL IT? Firm Control High-Waist Thigh-Slimmer They come in size small to 2X! I thought I'd try a pair on today to see how they fit and if the top would roll down. So far so good! I don't know if I could ever get used to having something on my thigh - it does kind of feel weird - but if it smoothes out the lumps and bumps on my child bearing belly, hips and thighs - I can do it for a couple of hours! OH YEAH - the downside is there is no snap in the crotch so that COULD create a problem when you have to go to the bathroom AND it may be kind of difficult putting these things on with acrylic nails! ~ Just thought I'd share! They were $34 and yesterday they had a sale of buy one get one half off.

My Family Picnic Shower w/Pics
Celina replied to Banana11's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Oh how sweet! I'm glad your anxieties went away and you enjoyed your day! I hope you are feeling better! -
YAY DANIELLE!!! I can't wait to hear all about your shower!!! TARA - OMG girl - you have to find that passport! My dad's wife is having a hard time getting her passport. She has to turn in a BUNCH of paperwork and isn't happy about it. The bad part is my dad is just laughing at her about it and it only makes her madder! Erica - Poor baby! Is she switching from breast milk to formula? Tell her to give him a dollop of dark Karo syrup in the milk and that baby will poop for sure! Or some straight apple juice. It was my moms advice and it worked for me with both my babies. OH - I was going to tell you - I was at the grocery store and Hefty makes those zoo animal plates for kids. Well, they also make disposable sippy cups. They are small cups with plastic lids that you can use maybe once or twice and then you can toss. I paid $3.69 for 14 cups and lids. We are trying them out this week and if they work, we are getting them for Mexico. I had a super busy weekend. Yesterday I got the linen fabric and pattern for my step mom to make my son's pants. Total cost was $14. I also had a picture reduced so I can make my memory charm of my mom for my bouquet. I made some copies of me and FI when we were kids to put on our guest book table. I have some of when we were in pre-school and our graduation pics. OH - I also got the undergarments for the dress. I have to call and get an appointment for Sunday. Today is our deadline for RSVP's! When was your guys' deadlines and did you get a lot of responses after the fact?

OMFG!! I got goosebumps when I read this! I heart Travis and the Transplants!! I hope they do okay and I am dying to know who the others were. This is horrible and SO sad.

Brunch in Nuevo Vallarta?

We stood at the Mayan Palace in NV and their brunch was good. They have this wonderful green juice that we got hooked on!
