UPDATE on my facial woes....I stuck with the neosporin and no make up the rest of the weekend and this morning I look 90% better. My face kind of stung when I put on my makeup, but I think it's because I use tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. I think the sunscreen part maybe made it sting a little. But I do look better! WWWhhhheeeewww what a relief!! Quote: Originally Posted by lucy106 Well my shower and laid back bach party were a blast. We got a lot of really great stuff. It was pretty slow today, but we sold a bunch of clothes today and some little things. Yesterday was a lot busier. I swear the stuff I thought would go right away didn't sell, and the stuff I probably would have thrown in the garbage is what people were buying. We made about $1,000 between the two garage sales we had so we are using that for our excursions in Mexico. We dropped off all the stuff we didn't sell at Goodwill on the way home so hopefully we'll get some $ back on our taxes. Speaking of taxes, will any/all of you be filing jointly next year? We have legally been married since July so that is about half the year of '08. I assume we'll get more back as married than if we file separately, but I don't know anything about taxes. I always pay someone to do them for me. I can barely balance my checkbook! Michelle - that is awesome that you guys made so much money! OMG - I need to have a yard sale in your neighborhood! I think we are going to file single for this year and then married the following year. Well Chicklets - I have no pics to post! .... I know.... I did so much running around all weekend I am sick of driving! I did get some rechargable batteries for my old camera and hope they work tonight so my daughter can take some pics of me in my dress for you guys! The batteries had to charge yesterday. One of my BM's is flaking out. I think it is because she is preggers. Every single time I call her she is taking a nap. I remember beeing sleepy all the time when I was pregnant - but dang! I was supposed to go to her house yesterday to drop off all of my serving dishes for my bach party this weekend and the first time I called she was taking a nap, then 2 hours later she left to go shopping. I ended up taking everything to my MOH's house. They haven't told me anything about the party except that we are having champagne and a chocolate fountain - oh and everyone is buying their wigs! My MOH got a cute hot pink wig. I bought two over the weekend, but not sure which one I'll wear.

Hi Girlies! Okay - so as far as weiners in my face - we have some ground rules. NO waving dollars above my head, I do not want to touch or have some sweaty guy gyrating on me. I think that is disgusting. I will be a willing spectator - NOT a participant. One of my friends went to the club this past summer for another bach party so I am waiting to see what she says. Tara, honey I don't think you should take the meds. Take a shot of tequilla and go on about your business. Plus you don't want to be taking the meds and drinking at the same time. NOT GOOD. Well, let me tell you guys what happened. I went to my cousin's house for a facial. She is a licensed esthitician (sp??) and massage therapist. Well - I had her wax my face and do the facial. I am not kidding...I have what looks like welts ALL OVER MY FACE where she waxed. She did my daughters eyebrows and she is fine. Me on the other hand - not so fine. I look horrible. I have them above my eyebrows, above my lip, all over my cheeks and on the side of my face. My face hurts. It's not uncomfortable, but it is definitely sore and I look awful. I don't know what to do. I am definitely not wearing any make up. Nothing will hide this. I look like I have the worst break out ever. I go in for my make up trial next Saturday. This better clear up. I think I am going to go take some Benadryl and put neosporin all over my face. I dont know what to do. I swear - I look like a horrible acne commercial.

Thanks guys. I think I am going to go ahead and play the song. I will probably cry the entire time I walk down the aisle because I am such a crybaby! Me first..... First thing tonight I am going to the post office cause I never made it yesterday because I left Tara's address at work. Tomorrow morning I am going to have the oil changed in my truck. Then I am going to go get a facial and my eyebrows done. My daughter is getting her first upper lip and eyebrow wax as well. (She doesn't know she is going to feel her first momentous RRRRIIIIIPPPPPPPPPP) Ouch! I have to go to my dad's and pick up my daughters dress. (So I can take some pictures for you guys) I have to go to one of my BM's house and drop off some serving dishes, pedestals, etc. for my bachelorette party next weekend. I also have to buy my wig!! I am having second thoughts about going to see the male strippers. The only club we could find that did male shows is a male and female club. They have two men stages in the corner and the women are in the middle of the room. That seems kind of gross so now I am reconsidering. I just wanted all girls having fun and not share it with a bunch of oogling guys looking at girl strippers. I have to discuss with my MOH and BM's. What do you guys think? OH - before any of this tomorrow morning, I am going to JC penny because that body shaper thing I bought is on sale for 40% off. The one I bought has the leg on it and I dont' like it. I need one with just the panty part. I have to get FI some tanning coupons so his white a** can see the light of a tanning bed so he doesn't burn like he did last time in Mexico. My big a** in a white dress and him with a red nose - we'll look like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and a snowman on the beach!! LOL I need to start packing. I need to do laundry and I want to do something fun with the kids. Maybe we'll light the fire pit and roast marshmallows. Hmmm...on second thought...maybe not. My son's asthma has been acting up lately. We have to look into buying ANOTHER portable DVD player. I swear, we buy a new one every year. FI wants to go check out some pawn shops and see if we can pick one up cheap there. The one we have isn't reading the DVD's anymore. I also have to get a hair cut! The ends of my hair are fried! I need to schedule my hair appointment at the hotel salon, and I have to schedule my makeup appointment at MAC. I think that's it for me! (that's enough) No Bronco game on Sunday!

Anyhoooo Tara, your play list is great! You have a good variety of music! Danielle - YAY on getting those bags done! Thank goodness you don't have to lug that stuff down. Lisa- have a BLAST at your party! Have some drinks for your November girls! Now I have a serious question about the play list. Tara has Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over The Rainbow as her processonal song. I LOVE-LOVE this song. When I first heard it on ER - I bawled because it is so beautiful. I have always wanted to play it but have kind of held back. The thing is........ The song holds a lot of meaning in my side of the family. It was first played at my step-brothers baby boy's funeral. He was a twin premie that passed away because he never recieved a liver transplant. He passed at almost 2 years old. It was played at my step-mom's mother's funeral when we released doves at her graveside. It was played at my dad's brothers funeral during a slideshow display. SO - if I played it I don't want it to feel morbid. I want to play it because it's beautiful, and because it means a lot to me to remember those who passed and to remember the beautiful occasion of our wedding day. Should I play the song? I am thinking of playing it for the bridal party and then switch to a spanish guitar song when I walk down the aisle. What do you guys think??

Michelle - they should have told you about renting the chair sashes. Hopefully they can get them for you and they aren't too expensive! That is awesome about your cake topper! I can't wait to see it! Chicka - I found my sandals at Newport-news.com I am going barefoot on the beach and then I have some jeweled sandals - they are flat, but I wore them one day to wear in the soles because they were slippery - and they are only comfortable for dinner and pictures- no dancing. I have some decorated flip flops for dancing. Do you have a pic of your hair inspiration? It sounds cute. I am wearing the flower and veil too! Steph - I'm glad you got your placecards! SOOOOOOOOOO.........yesterday I picked up my dress and it fits and looks good and I am HAPPY! YAY!! Tara - I have a box for you with the dress bag and I'll send it to you tonight after work. I almost sent you my 2 year old because he was messing with me when I was taping it up and when I threatened to send him to Arizona, he very happily said he wanted to go! I didn't work yesterday because I had to go to court as a witness to an attempted murder case. They continued the case till October 29th so I had some free time and went to Hobby Lobby. All of their wedding stuff is 50% off! I couldn't help myself and I bought a birdcage for cards for our AHR for $7! They have hair pins, clips, all kinds of stuff! I bought these cards for table numbers. They are this style Filigree
Favor Box
Ivory - Stationery, invitations, announcements and event accessories by Paper Orchid Stationery I couldn't find the actual items, but they are this style. I am going to use them as table numbers. I also got some rhinestone clusters on a thin silver wire to put into my bouquet. Oh - I also went and got my daughters sash and flower for her dress. Thats it for me!

Oh Erica - I hope you and Donnie have a wonderful day and everything is as amazing as you imagined it to be!

Dear Fellow Government Mule in Payroll: Thank you for getting my hours in. I sold you short earlier and appreciate your quick work to get me my moolah on Friday. You rock! Dear FI's Uncle: I can't believe you have the audacity to say "We did not anticipate the cost of a short trip to Mexico to be this expensive. " Well you freakin' genius - that's why we sent you a save the date letter in AUGUST OF 2007! FI had his hopes on you coming as the only one from his dad's side. Thanks for the let down. Dear MOH: (I'm on a roll today) Get off your butt and get my bachelorette party in gear! NO - everyone is not going to call you because they are afraid of stepping on your toes and don't want to make a decision without your imput! Get movin and get things done girl!! Celina does not have to hold your hand on everything! Do your duties and get it together!

I love your new siggy pic Sylvia!

Well...the $$ faries were looking over me and the payroll lady was able to get me entered. It was totally their fault - so she was obligated to do whatever she had to do. They are the ones that screwed up! I will now have some extra money that I've been working my butt off for come Friday! YAY!! Erica, be careful with those paintballs! FI went and had a bruise on his stomach for months! I dont' want you having a bunch of bruises for the wedding! The GM's wife ordered him a new shirt. So that was good. I hope it comes quick! I love my MOH - but she sucks! She is not a planner and she is planning my bach party and she just doesn't have it together. The invites went out, but she is not as oranized as me so she will have these girls running around at the last minute. She expects everyone to call her and no one has. I think no one wants to step on her toes and she is just waiting for them. Ugh! Should I smack her I emailed the spa to get a hair appointment for the wedding. Hopefully they will get back soon. Jessica where are you? We need an update! Steph I didn't take a pic of my hair because it isn't THAT noticible of a color change. A little more brown. That's it! PLUS - I still don't know how to work our new camera. I am SO BUMMED - I have to return the movies and I never even got a chance to watch Made of Honor! Dang I suck!!

Do you have to arrive two days prior to your wedding? sorry for all the questions lol Hi there! Yeah, we are tying up our loose ends there. Yes, Erika is our WC. She is sweet in person. A very tiny young lady. I haven't heard from her in a while. I think she knows what i want though as we have been in contact for the past year. She does take a while to get back to e-mails though. Everything in Mexico is a little slower than we are used to! We are arriving three days prior, but we aren't getting legally married there. We are having a symbolic ceremony there; however our guests don't know the difference. PLUS it's cheaper. We are actually going to the Justice of the Peace on Halloween for legalities. In our minds our "real" wedding is in Mexico. Yep - you can rent the pool bar. All of the costs are on the RIU website on the wedding information page. PM me if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to help you out with what I can. We are doing our wedding on the beach and are having our dinner group at the Flamingo, then are renting the pool bar for 3 hours. I am having my cake cutting at the bar instead of the restaurant. Erika has been pretty open to our own decoration. She said they had staff to help decorate. She can arrange fireworks and a cigar roller too if you are interested. We are getting our cake through them as I never had any luck in getting with the people at Pie in the Sky. Although their cake was very good, the prices were a little high for my budget. The cake at RIU was free for the top portion, each additional layer is $50. Where your guests are concerned, make sure you have all of them stay there, or as many as you can. The cost for daypasses is $60 for a half day and starts at 3pm. The daypasses are a real budget breaker. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Oh no Tara! I swear when it rains it pours! That freakin' sucks. I am so sorry - maybe the Geek Squad can help? My payroll people did not enter my overtime on my last paycheck. So I went in last Thursday and dropped off additional slips so they could have those hours too and get it all in on this next check. They told me to have them in by Monday morning. So I call 30 minutes ago and they didnt pick them up till yesterday AFTER they entered all the hours so they won't be on my check this Friday. I have over 20 hours and I know I am going to get taxed out the backside. When I called to make sure they included my hours and the payroll lady told me no I burst into tears. How can people be so lazy and stupid? I am so mad. I scanned and sent the one person working over there all of my slips so hopefully she can get them entered before the two City agencies interface their networks. I am SO BEYOND MAD! I told her I had wedding deposits to pay and things to do. It's bad enough they didn't get the hours added last time, but now it's been a month that they have screwed up. I hate them! Of course she had one excuse after another. We'll see what happens. Good news - my daughter's sash and flower for her dress came in. I have to pick up tomorrow. I've also got all my friends going out to buy wigs this weekend. Ha ha! My bach party is in two weeks! YIKES!! Sorry for the vent and ramble. Well Steph, my Crocs were 1 size too small. I thought an 8 would work but the toe thing is rubbing weird on my toe so I have to exchange them. One of the GM's came by last night. His shirt was WAY too big for him. He has a weird body shape and we have to take in the shirt.

Yes I work for the government and am a government mule. Dear Stupid Idiots in Payroll: You biotches told me to get my overtime slips turned in to you by Friday so my hours would be on my next check. I turned them in on Thursday. It is Tuesday and we get paid on Friday. You mean to tell me that your lazy asses couldn't go to the mailbox and get my slips? Now you arent' going to have my hours on my next check?? I have a freakin' wedding to pay for you stupid idiots! Ironically none of your lazy asses are even at work today? You owe me for working over 20 extra hours and I already know the Feds are taking most of it anyway but still - have a little compassion for me! I played by the rules - now give me my $$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!

We went to the ceremony and there was a pretty decent lapse in time between the ceremony and the reception at the VFW. Being from out of town and not having a place to go, naturally we went to the VFW early to get some drinks. Turns out the bartender was very friendly and let us drink for free until the reception started. Then the reception had free beer. Ok you get the picture. Lots of beer. After the necessary first dances my friend and I get onto the dance floor and befriend the DJ. Fast forward an hour or so. And I've got the DJ playing song after song of Bruce. Meanwhile I have his MIC and am running around the reception dragging these random people on to the dance floor so they can sing Bruce with me. I ended up getting a pretty good group! Ha! He played Glory Days... hm... at least 3 times! And I sang, very loudly and badly to each and every one.... in the microphone none the less Ha, I was definitely "that girl" at that wedding!! Man, it was a good time! Tara - you are crazier than I thought! How hillarious! I had to go to one of the concourses to do some training and I got some cute Croc flip flops for Mexico! He he! Nothing like an unexpected shopping trip!!

Our wedding is in LESS THAN 3 WEEKS. UGH. Gross. Ooooh Tara! Naughty girl! LOL! On my way home from work Saturday I stopped at the grocery store and I found these great bags in the clearance aisle. They are Hefty brand 3-gallon bags and they are resealable and come with a handle! They were on clearance for $1.50 and came 5 to a box. I took them suckers home and loaded them with OOT bag stuff. They worked out great! All the wedding stuff I am taking fit into those bags. So now all I have to do is distribute them to my "mules". Ha ha! Are you guys making reciepts to take over in case of customs questions? It is good to have an inventory of everything. I got that stuff done and finished decorating my flowergirl basket, re-glued my FMIL's flip flops (my son tore off the decorative trim on them) and put more stuff in my suitcase. I also colored my hair. It's more of a dishwater brown than the redish brown. I am hoping in a week that it will lighten more. That's it! This weekend I have a lot of wedding stuff to do. I can't believe three more weekends and we are done! On a sad note - I got an ugly e-mail this morning from my sister I disowned. In a moment of weakness last week I e-mailed her and I realize now that she is a freakin' nut case and I should write her off because she is irrational and is an overzealous religious freak. She is totally off her rocker and I'm actually kind of scared of her. People that have very radical opinions on things scare me. She falls into that category with me and I just have to be careful. That's it for now!

Okay...so I am at work and in the middle of filing papers when I was like...Danielle's Bach Party.!..I know she posted pics and logged on ASAP! Right on! How fun Danielle! You look cute! I'm glad you guys had a great time. I love Melting Pot too!

Tara Bear!! OMG girl, I am sitting here crying! I have been so emotional with wedding stuff this week! I saw your rings and the waterworks started! Your stuff is so beautiful. I've never seen your rings and OMG they are stunning! I LOVE your dress! Everything is wonderful. Seeing your thread this morning caught me off guard because our days are numbered! Ha ha! I am so excited for you! You did a great job with everything and took so much thought with your BM's gifts. They are going to love them. Your hair will be beautiful and the flowers are goregous too. I love all that color against your dress. Everything looks great! -
Yeah, that's what we are doing next door at the Vallarta. We are actually cutting our cake there too. FI only wanted to rent the bar for 2 hours (from 8pm-10pm) and I said no 3 hours. (till 11:00pm) His arguement was that people could go to the disco if they wanted to continue dancing. I think I won the arguement because he said the other day that 3 hours was fine. I was just wondering if after we were done drinking and dancing at the pool bar if the disco was a fun option. I guess I have no control on that one. We'll just have to check it out and see!
