  2. Wow, I always guessed that it would be cheaper for you Americans and Canadians to the Carribean, but looking at this is seems not! We have paid £1067 each (around $2000) and that includes everything for 2 weeks (transf, airport taxes etc) How long is the flight for you? its almost 10 hours from here, I pity my MOH, she has a 2 and half year old and a 9 month old!
  3. Hi, I am getting married in the Riu Ocho Rios, Jamaica, March next year, and one of the reasons we chose the hotel is because we heard the RIU's were so good!! I am going on holiday to the Riu Palace macao on 10th Dec this year, so if you need any info that I can get while I am there, thats no problem Anna
  4. Thanks for all your lovely comments! the dress is Maggie Sottero - Jessica Marie, I dont think I am going to wear a veil, I tried some on, various sizes, but it felt a little too weird, and I felt it was too formal Just trying to get things all sorted before Xmas, as I have a feeling once xmas is out of the way the time will really start to fly by!!
  5. Hi all, Well with 15 weeks till we head off to Jamaica I picked up my dress yesterday. I dont actually own any other dress, so it was doubly weird being in a wedding dress and all girly for a change!! I took some pics to try to give me inspiration to loose some weight, and to remind myself how beautiful my dress is! http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...380_edited.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...7/IMG_1381.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...379_edited.jpg
  6. Hi there! I am from England, so just over the water from you! Where abouts in Spain are you getting married? When we looked into it, we found that we could only have a fantasy wedding, ( where you get married beforehand) as it is not ( or so I thought) legal to get married in Spain? Happy planning, everyone on here is so helpful, and will answer any questions, no matter how mad you think they sound!
  7. Hi, Hoping that this link will work! 8. OK, thanks for the info, I was planning on taking our wedding party there after our 12 noon wedding, and having a champagne toast and photos, but may have to re think now as the wedding is on a friday!
  9. Hi, I am getting married at 12 noon March 14th. Not ideal, especially as the travel agent had lead me to believe it had been booked for 4pm! We are looking at the idea of the ceremony/pictures finishing around 1:30, telling everyone that they are then welcome to go and get something to eat. We will then hire a bus around 2:30ish, go to Dunns river falls, take champagne and glasses etc, and have a champagne toast by the falls, and even do our speeches there! Then by the time we get back to the hotel, people can freshen up for the meal at the steak house.
  10. Hi, I have tried to look to see if this has been discussed before, and cant see anything! I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is specific days that the criuse ships visit Ocho Rios. I heard that places like the falls can get very crowded at times and that this could possibly be the reason. Thanks!
