    I am not having a bridal party just a MOH and she's in grad school so I know she's tight on money. I said NO to a shower but YES to a bachelorette party. My MOH, mom and friends will be planning that so I can't wait. You could casually bring it up to someone and help plan it, you don't need to know when it is but you could always help out with ideas. Maybe (like stated above) people aren't sure who's planning what so they're just waiting to be told what to do.

    Great website, I cried while reading them! My FI's grandmother passed away 9 months ago and right before she gave us a box of baby sweaters that she knitted (hint hint) and there were handkerchiefs tucked into one of the sweaters. I just recently pulled the box out and found the handkerchiefs and I wasn't too sure what to do with them but this is a great idea. And this way she'll be part of our ceremony in a really special way!!

    I bought my dress for $450.00. I never thought I would have spent so little on a wedding dress. The ones I was looking at online were so much more expensive. I love it, it's perfect for my wedding, now I can splurge on other things with the money I saved!

    We chose Jamaica because we wanted a really small intimate wedding with people that we wanted to be there (FI's family is HUGE!) It is affordable to us and our guests and we just wanted nothing to do with a traditional wedding. Oh and we wanted to party and celebrate for a week on the sandy beach!

    I have never been to either place but I think I would pick Thailand. I have heard wonderful things about both so I'm sure you'll be happy wherever you choose to go.

    I used bamboo for my invitations. I bought them at Michaels. The bamboo rods were about 60" I think and they were only about $8.00 each. Hope that helps.
