starfish jewelry

Hopefully the website is legitimate! I ordered the necklace/bracelet set today, so I should get it by middle of next week and I'll post pics of it and update this thread as soon as I get it! Supposedly it's all legit... I have a lot of silver tiffany jewelry, so I'll make sure it's the same quality, otherwise I'll return it and buy the real thing. Of course all my Tiffany silver jewelry was purchased or gifted to me back when the prices were still reasonable!!! -

Bridal Party Gifts - DONE!!!
Maura replied to NYJen's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Yay! Jen I love your gifts. I just purchased the Tiffany mini starfish necklace and charm bracelet for my sister (MOH) this morning. I figure I'll give her one for christmas maybe and the other once we're in mexico. I wanted to get her something else too since I'm giving FSIL who is also a bridesmaid both the necklace and bracelet. Any ideas? -
Resorts with Chapels..Site visit near!
Maura replied to shelleyr's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
hmmm.... doesn't el encanto inn have a chapel too? yep! San Jose del Cabo - El Encanto Inn in beautiful San Jose in Los Cabos, Baja California if memory serves me correctly, coreyphil is getting married there and yes, FYI, palmilla is outrageous if you're on any kind of budget! post some more details like how many guests you think youll have and whatnot, and i bet some other gals can comment on ideas of things for you to check out based on how many people you'll have (like i know some people who had smallish guest lists did a sunset cruise which sounds super fun!) hope this helps! -

But if you go, they have a few on display, but they have a lot in back, so just ask them to bring them out. Good luck! Thanks Jessica! I'm a Cabo bride but this was the only thread I saw on lazos recently... I may also look for one when we are in Mexico City for Christmas... but I'll definitely check out Azul y Rosa! Thanks for the tip!

I should say the date we picked is early in August (Aug. 9th) and our wedding coordinator said if there's rain they will move our reception indoors to another location at no extra charge. She said they rarely get rain that early in the month so that we shouldn't worry about it. We could only both get vacation at the same time in August so we didn't really get to pick the date. I think it will be fine though

what did you use to build your website? (and would you post a link for me to peek?) FI and I are not big fans of things like weddingannouncer pages. We're thinking about using iweb and hosting at godaddy or something like that. We want to maybe add video at some point, or music, and the simple free pages dont give many options for that kind of stuff it seems. Any ideas?

Edna, I'm kind of doing the same... we've already gone into full planning mode, set a date and everything, but my ring wont be ready until next week (we are approving the custom wax proof today!) so we aren't telling friends until after he gives me the ring. It's so hard not to spill the beans to my friends. I told my best friend and she promised to keep it a secret. However, my FMIL has already told like everybody she knows in Mexico haha. So none of our American friends know yet except my best friend.

Ring Problem
Maura replied to BillysBride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
you DEF need to take that in to have it fixed. it should NOT move, twist, turn, rattle or anything like that! -
we're considering gilda badillo and her a la carte package (per hour rate, which includes all your shots on cd --not just 100-200 per hour, but ALL of them! -- with the rights to them) is $350 an hour. if you want to PM me, i'll send you the rest of her rates list i just got from her yesterday. she's really been nice so far and answers quickly. (provided you dont have the same wedding date as me, haha) ;-)

While this whole situation sucks, if it were reversed and were your dad who couldn't make it, you'd want him there. Sadly sometimes parents misbehave or dont do what we want them to do (i'm dealing with this myself). We gals here all understand the need for a perfect wedding day and for everything to go the way we want, thats what this forum is here for. Your FI should definitely bring up with his father about covering costs of reprinted invitations or penalties from vendors for changing the date. But I think you may be surprised at how nice people (vendors) can be when you explain the situation. And if your FFIL wants to get in your good graces and his son's, he'll do whatever he can to help remedy the situation. I'm so sorry you're going through this, and we're all here to listen and help out. sending you a big hug!

Found my Bridesmaid Dresses!!
Maura replied to jlink78's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
ooh thats pretty, where are they from? -
i like the starfish better... i am considering getting the plain starfish necklace from tiffany's for my sister and FI's sister who will be my BMs. i think i might get them the necklace each for christmas when i ask them to be my BMs and then get them either the matching earrings or the bracelet as a BM gift when we get to cabo.
