  7. I FINALLY have a date twin! (provided your date remains 9/1/07). Welcome to the forum.
  8. Do any of you have a planning timeline you wouldn't mind sharing? When I first started planning, I felt overwhelmed with ideas, tips, suggestions, and, of course, complaints. I worked on several things and then got burned out and took a break. I am now ready to begin again (Sept is fast approaching) with the planning, but I am not sure where to start. TIA!

They wouldn't recognize us since we weren't married in a church. ... I just got to this post, but have a question. They would't recognize us...I am assuming 'us' is the church? If so, and the purpose of god parents is to have someone step in if something happened to you - why does the church have to recognize it? I know religion is a powerful force in a lot of households and I dont judge that, but what if you and your FI were not catholic or chose not to have the church wedding? How would that affect the situation?
  10. If it is in the budget, get it all. If you have to cut somewhere, maybe this could be the place to save some $. Besides, how much time are you going to be in your room (other than the bed)? Well, on second thought, the jacuzzu would be nice to (fill in your pleasure) (ex. relax, read, other).
  11. LOL - maybe so. Glad I didnt get peed on!
  12. ***UPDATE*** Today is my 1st day back at work since having this done. He didnt put any of the blue color in it so I didn't turn blue (why does he ever put it in there if it doesn't serve a purpose??). I am still really red and have a bit more healing to do. I have gotten some green makeup to help with the red for a while. It HURT like HE**. This one was worse than any of the other ones. I think the chick in the office who is responsible for washing it off didnt get it all off. I think I went into shock...couldnt walk at first, shaking, cold... For the one who uses the product..I checked and the kit is between $5-600. That is crazy...expecially since it only lasts a couple of weeks and then you have to but things to replinish the kit. I would love to do it if it was in the budget.
  13. Yes it is Obagi. The website says a mild burning sensation for a few minutes, NOT SO! It is the entire time they are doing it. I have never tried their daily products b/c they are so expensive (peel is bad enough). I bet they work very well.
  14. Uh, pics? What are pics? I'm not sure I understand...huh, I cant hear you.... I promise to seriously think about it. I am taking time off of work so that no one sees me. I dont think before and after photos would work b/c the changes are subtle so I doubt a camera would pick them up. Besides, if I got a close up shot of my skin, you would see my large pores - gross. Some of ya'll might know what that is like..you know those small, round mirrors that make everything biy and are on display at Linens N Things...you walk by and moan b/c you see your pores that the regular mirror at home doesnt show.

I had it done quite a few years ago for acne scars and for my blotchiness. I think it is similar to a chemical peel but more invasive. I think the blue peel goes deeper (I think) I want to have 2 done before my wedding so one now and another in 3 or 4 months. We'll see. I am getting it done next Tuesday and am taking the rest of the week of and maybe Christmas Eve...depending on how I look.
  16. I have an appointment next Tuesday (eek) for my blue peel. Have any of you had this done? I have had 2 before and they are a bit painful. I will literally be blue (just call me Smurfette) for a day or so then my skin (face only) will begin to dry up and some top layers peel off. Getting old (looking) is the pitts.
  17. Date: December 12, 2007 After careful consideration and effective immediately, Sandals Resorts, Beaches Resorts, Royal Plantation & Negril Gardens will eliminate its recent energy surcharge. “No one disputes the very real challenge of meeting escalating energy costs says Gordon “Butch†Stewart, chairman of Sandals Resorts, “but we respect and highly value the opinion of our travel partners who are on the consumer front lines. We always want to do what is in their best interest and therefore after much discussion with them, we feel that now is not the time to enact this new policy.†According to Stewart, Sandals Resorts will rely further on its award-winning and ongoing sustainable tourism efforts to reduce energy use across all of its resorts. “Our organization is extremely proud of the level of environmental commitment throughout the Caribbean, said Stewart. All Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts are Green Globe Certified by the Caribbean Alliance of Sustainable Tourism and continue to garner international accolades including having several resorts honored with The Green Hotel of the Year Award at the annual American Express Caribbean Environmental awards. Most recently, Sandals Resorts was also recognized by Conde Nast Traveler in the magazines first World Savers Awards.
  18. A friend of mine who is a personal trainer has just opened up a new gym. It is for boxing/kickboxing/wrestling type of stuff. I used to work out with him one-on-one before I bought my car (cant afford it now). He asked if I would draw up his membership forms and other business forms so I told him I would if I could work out for FREE! He agreed (SUCKER! - I would have done them anyway) I am going today after work. Woo Hoo! I am so exicted. I love working out when boxing and kickboxing is involved. My FI is a professional boxer so you would think I work out all the time. Not the case. He is not "mean" enough when we work out together. He lets me quit when I want. I need someone who will tell me "NO!" Thanks for listening...I am so excited.

Here is the email he sent me: Dear Travel Partners, As with all businesses, we at Sandals Resorts have seen our energy costs escalate to far higher levels than were predicted when rates for 2008 and beyond were set. The associated energy costs at our resorts have increased substantially, resulting in the decision to pass on some of these extra costs to our guests. We are therefore writing to advise you that effective January 1, 2008, we will be implementing an on-resort energy surcharge of $4.00 USD per person per night with a maximum charge of $8.00 USD per room per night to each Sandals Resort, Beaches Resort, Negril Gardens and Royal Plantation booking. This charge will remain separate from the base rate and will be added to all guests accounts at check out, regardless of when the holiday was booked. The surcharge will be applied to all properties in Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua, Turks & Caicos and The Bahamas for all arrivals as of January 1, 2008 and onwards and is non-refundable.
  20. For those of you who are staying at Sandals & Beaches, beginning 1/1/08, there will be an Energy Surcharge added to your bill. The fee is $4 per person per room per night with a maximum of $8 per room per night (did I get all of those "per"'s in there?). This fee is non-negotiable. THIS SUCKS!
