How do you take care of Cactus and Orchid Plants?
Birdie07 replied to Alyssa's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
I have 3 cactai plants in my house. I haven't watered them since I moved in! Haha. I never do it. DH does. But they're still living. I kill plants too! We just planted a garden too. Tomatoes, peppers, squash...@*)$*@% deer ate the tomatoes. So thats my only problem. The stupid wildlife. And they tried to eat our roses but I ran out with a spatula and scared them away! -
I have the iPhone. And I think you mean the third one is coming out b/c I have the second one. The 3G is the new one. Anyways I LOVE my iphone. I love having all my wedding pictures on it . And I can get directions anywhere. And check BDW . Hahah....if you watch the video for the new phone it's gonna be awesome. They're fixing the problems that people hate. I can't remember but maybe sending pictures in texts. I'm not sure. Anyways the new app store is AWESOME. Even us people with the old phone get the update. Thats also the cool thing. The phone gets new updates so it's like you get a new phone each time. I haven't had any major problems. Sometimes it will light up when I'm not touching it. But its not bad. The only thing is I have AT&T and we moved to the mountains. And they only have one cell provider out here and it's Verizon. Thats it! So in a few months AT&T will cut our service b/c we use another company's tower. Hopefully I can still use my phone for everything but calling people. You can use the iPhone on your wireless internet at home instead of through AT&T's network. As long as you don't plan on moving you should be gone. I've never had a problem dropping calls or bad reception. I LOVE LOVE HEART LOVE LOVE my iPhone!

Grr...I typed it out and it logged me off. Anyways, I helped my sister plan her wedding a few years ago. She couldn't find anything! She had alot of Dallas cops though and didn't want it in the city. So my previous boss had gotten married on the canal in Las Colinas. It was so pretty. The two guy who owns the terrace are from Switzerland and they're master chef, so they do all the food AND the cake. And the bar. So you have less vendors! Oh and they have all the linen and plates and such and prety candlebras. And it's so gourgeous. She got married in the cobblestone garden outside and then they moved inside for dancing and dinner. Then they rode away on a Gondola while an the Gondolier guy sang and we had sparklers. Anyways it's really nice. We got ready across the street at the Omni Mandalay and they stayed the night their and flew out the next morning. Anyways the site is Venetian Terrace

I can't bring myself to rewrite everything right now since it's 1:17 am.. but here are some questions that I 'll throw out there and if they appeak I would love to hear your thoughts. That sucks! I'm sorry! *Did the chapters about the nursing home change how you think about older people? In what ways are the doctors and nurses condescending? How is Rosemary different? How do you treat older people? Actually it was kindof sad b/c my grandma just died and so it was kindof hard to read those. But yes it did. You realize sometimes we think of all older people out of their minds when really they aren't and its really sad *In chapter two, the twenty-three year old Jacob starts his story by telling us he is a virgin. From the cooch tent to the erections the older Jacob gets when being bathed, sexuality is woven into the whole story. Why do you think Gruen added these details? I'm not sure why she did either. What role does sexuality play in Water for Elephants?I think he becomes a man and he's not longer so innocent. *Are you satisfied with the end? I LOVED the end. I was hoping the whole time he didn't die. I'm glad he got to go back to the circus. Let's discuss... I'll post tomorrow. I will say that I love Jacob Jankowski at either 23 or 93. He's great. I loved him at both ages too!

Just like Andrea said a mountain town is great. Durango is the same. It has hot springs, TONS of shops. They have a train that you can take to another town and shop too. They have trails and rafting, kayaking, etc. Its gorgeous!

What time is sunset at ROR?
Birdie07 replied to ccunningham's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
No. My mom was suppose to arrive the day before and her plane had technical problems so they canceled the flight. So she had to fly to Atlanta and the next day (wedding day) fly to jamaica. So we stalled the wedding waiting for my mom. Chandlyn held it for me! I did wait in my room but it was geting later and later so she had me come to the lobby and I waited around the corner until my mom ran through the lobby! -
What time is sunset at ROR?
Birdie07 replied to ccunningham's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
I was suppose to get married at 4 but it was morel like 4:45 so my pictures were starting to get into the sunset at around 5:30. It won't be dark. I think you'll get your blue pictures and then some beautiful sunset pictures. And yes it'll be dark or darker at 6:30 for dinner. -

Yowza. I can't choose. I love 1 and 3. Isn't there there another option for the poll. I guess I'll choose 1 but in my head i chose both! -
I got that. I'm hoping I don't crave it when I'm preggo. Right now I'm craving an avacado sandwhich...off to see if I have some!
-
Ugh! Isn't it all greasy? I used to be able to eat McD's no problem. But I can't eat fast food anymore. It grosses me out. I'd rather eat some pita and hummus.

YAY! Good! I just thought the BC was dying And I got sad!

Haha....I might think the cold is colder than it is. I've lived in the South my whole life. Texas and AL! When I went to Denver this winter and here down by Durango I thought I was gonna freeze to death. So I think if you always have lived in cold places it's not bad. But to me I was dying!
-
Ok, I'm so hoping the BC isn't dying . I think we just all forgot. But are we still discussing or do we want the new book? I'm so bored!
-
YES YES YES! Boulder is very very um how do I say healthy? I don't live there I live south of boulder. Lots of health food stores. My in-laws and DH call it HIPPIE! But hey I love hippie! It's very NFL friendly! I do not know about the nightlife though. I'm pretty sure it's walkable and I've heard lots of bike riding. I'm guessing the weather is like the rest of CO. VERY cold in the winter . Are you moving to CO?

Well, it made me sick. I think my body didn't like it. I wasn't getting everything I needed. So my DH said I couldn't do it anymore. I have really low iron problems so much as I have to take iron or you can trace all the veins in my body! I don't know if that anything to do with it or not. But we already eat really healthy anyway that we weren't losing as much as you guys. So we have the soup we're just gonna add stuff to it to finish it off.

Our two kittens don't get table food. I've had lots of cats and once you start feeding them from the table they beg. And I hate when cats beg especially when we have guests. So it's a firm rule they ONLY get cat food. I also don't know about the plastic bags b/c I won't bring those home. I use canvas shopping bags. I HATE plastic shopping bags! UGH. But the other day we had chicken wings on the table and left the room and the cats knocked them to the floor and ate them. UGH! But thats the only time they've had table food. And yes the LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair and ear. They are only 7 weeks old. They were abandoned. So when I lay down at night they both knead my hair and suck on my ear. I think they're trying to nurse b/c they weren't weaned. They only do it at night though. It hurts though so I don't let them. But I'm asleep and wake up to huge sucking sounds in my ear!
