Got FH's from an Ebay manufacturer, so it's actually from a jeweler. In my opinion, thats a great route to go. MANY reputable jewelers sell their merchandise on Ebay, complete with certificates giving all the details on the grade of the diamonds and weight of the metal. I had a great experience and found EXACTLY what he wanted.

Like one for ceremony and then another to dance the night away I've heard others say that as well, so I kinda get it. I think for me, it's about trashing A wedding dress. lol I don't so much get the shoots where the bride is in like a pretty sundress or whatever, even though I've seen some killer pics like that. TTD's are cool looking to me because it's like that moment of "Holy crap, that's a wedding gown!". Just sort of the contrast of what people usually think of when they think bride/wedding gown, and what they SEE when they look at a gal rollin around in the sand, splashing, and steaming it up in a wedding dress. I think as long as it's a gown, you can't go wrong really. Just gotta do what makes you happy and comfy! I'm getting one made (I think) from an Ebay manufacturer for a grand total of $78 including the shipping. I've been looking on there for a cheap second dress, but just can't find anything so far that has the elements I want to see in our photos.

Good Site For Program Fans?
BillysBride replied to BillysBride's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Thanks, I'll check 'em out! -
I've been looking, trying to get as much dealt with as I go as possible. Every site I find always lists a good price on them, but they require you to order like 125+. I don't need anywhere near that many. Any suggestions?

POLL: What are your colors?
BillysBride replied to SandDD's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Chocolate, Ivory and Gold. -
I have a a mermaid style gown....and I'm getting another dress for our TTD shoot. Thing is, just personal opinion, I think that for them to look good while you're up, walking around..they need to be pretty snug. Not disabling snug, but still, a pretty close damn fit. And for TTD pics, I want to be able to hike it up and climb up FH when the mood/need arises...I just can't see being able to do that in my dress without shimmying and wiggling the damn thing up my thighs. Besides, I want to be in my comfort zone doing our TTD..I don't need one more thing to feel self conscious about. I also think more flowing dresses look better in the water, but again..just me.

Is anyone else getting married on blind faith?
BillysBride replied to Nisi39's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Yup, that's us. We had planned a site visit since we originally picked this May as our date, but long story short...waaaaay too much has happened. We also found out we can bump the voucher we have and use it toward the wedding trip. Just made more sense to save it. My sister has been, travel agent has been and I live on Trip Advisor. The coordinator has been good about sending photos of the wedding sites on the property as well, so I think we're covered. -
Soooooo..just wanted to update. What I know right now for "spoilers": Mack is coming back. remember her? Billy's great love who he believed he could not be with because they were COUSINS? Well..now the truth (and the shit) is hitting the fan and it will be revealed that Jill is not Kay's daughter. Mack and Billy...not cousins. Billy does indeed marry Bitchella ..oops, I mean Chloe. The wedding is a fiasco; Kay and Jill get into a cake fight. The scenes for Cane and Lily's wedding have been taped. Daniel told me they finished them Friday...the episode won't air until May 15. Not sure why they taped them so early, it normally takes 3 weeks from taping to air. If I get more or remember anything else, I'll post. Happy watching!

Hey, how many of the mugs are silver? I really like them, but need something that wouldn't clash too terribly the rest of my stuff.

I swear to you I just saw that dress on Ebay a few days ago. I STALK Ebay like I'm getting paid to do it, and I have come across that one a few times now, the last one being maybe Wed/Thur? If you decide you are interested in it, I'd definitely start checking for it second hand. You may even be able to get two dresses that way (if thats something you think you might be interested in). It IS really pretty, and the sparkle will be out of this world in the sun/photos. It's actually the bridal match to my bridesmaids dresses http://www.alfredangelo.com/Collecti...7e21ebd65&pg=0

I get this and that from this site/catalog sometimes. I got an email this morning for another swimwear sale. It's mix and match, but for as low as $4! For those of us spending a week or more on the beach, I know I'm not personally going to care about having something perfect on 24/7. Some of the sizes are limited, but I figure you skinny mini's will have no problems. Check it out if you like: Weekly Deals on Swimwear and Women's Clothes by VENUS

Upset and Confused...
BillysBride replied to Candice's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Believe me, I understand. Billy started out the EXACT same way. Everything I would mention, he would say "That defeats the purpose of doing it in Mexico." See, it was HIS idea, HIS dream to do it on the beach in Mexico to begin with. I'd never even thought about such a thing. But here's the thing that helped me with him. I told him that as much as it was HIS desire and his dream to have a beach wedding..it was also MY wedding too. And I asked him if he didn't think I should be able to have my wishes and dreams about it too. That shut him up and down and he hasn't said a word more about it since. -
Thanks, k....we're actually usings the Avalon. I think I may have found an agent, so hopefully she'll pan out.

is this rude of fi or is it me?
BillysBride replied to Jacqueline's topic in Just venting or funnies
I'm sittin here crackin up because it's so...well, male. Billy hasn't ever done exactly that...but what he will do is either tell me how he wants something made, or tell me he'll have to find something else when I talk about something I'm making. He does it with this..long suffering type of tone, like I'm going to jump in and offer to make what he actually wants. For a while, I avoided cooking some of my favorite things because he doesn't like them. Then I realized...umm..hell nah. lol Now he just has to suck it up and fend for himself. He doesn't bug me about it, but sometimes he makes it known that it's not what he would have preferred. We've gotten into a few scraps about that type of stuff, but only cuz I get in his face about not giving a shit what he wants. I'd just be like "Well, I left some chicken for ya if you want to make yourself a wrap." then I'd make sure to moan over my own food as much as possible. -
Beach Mats
BillysBride replied to VB Stephanie's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I had been thinking about getting them, but decided against it. Didn't even come up with half the reasons you ladies did, so I'm glad I stumbled into this thread. lol -

That didn't work so then I was given a radioactive iodine pill, which completely killed my thyroid, leaving me hypothyroid. Then, I tried synthroid felt awful. Now I'm on Armour thryoid and I'm doing much better. I still haven't found my perfect dosage after a couple of years. I have to go back and get my blood levels checked because I've been on that diet pill Alli, which has helped me loose weight but I'm getting fatigued again which could mean my Armour thryoid dosage needs to be increased. Sure, suuuure you're not following me. *wink* I gotta pick your brain here. I did 2 yrs on PTU/thyroid suppressors. Nothing so far. My bloodwork has gotten better, but it's still way outta control. After you did the RAI/radioactive iodine, what was your experience with Syntrhoid exactly? I have one of those docs who isn't progressive and refuses to rx Armour..I looked into and I want it SO bad because I'm afraid I'll fall into that category of patients who don't respond well to Synthroid. With a wedding coming up in a year, the last thing I want is massive weight gain, fatigue and depression. Just wanna know what your response to Synthroid was. My endo only rx's synthroid or levothyroxine. Old school. I'm trying to freak or let that impact my decision to go ahead with the surgery, but it's hard. I feel like I may end up stuck yo yo'ing on medication that isn't right for me.

I think I'll use it. I haven't been planning on putting it on the bags, just hanging a tag off the strap. I definitely think people will want to use the bags and not have our names/logo on them, so that makes sense. If they can't stand the sight of it on some cups in the back of their cupboards, oh well:)

For your travel mugs/cups...did you use your wedding monogram? I've seen a few posts where people said they didn't want to use them because they wanted people to be able to use them later. So, is that the norm? I'm not sure what to do. Maybe it should be a keepsake. A momento of our wedding that people actually have a use for from time to time. I dunno. Help?
