  1. Errr..hold up. He owed you that apology, absofreakinlutely no doubt about that. BUT the real issue here is WHY he said what he did, not that he apologized for it after the fact. You are DEFINITELY doing the right thing if you are truly taking a step back and taking stock of your relationship. I think to be totally fair, you need more information from him...BUT, having said that, theres only so much he can give by way of explanation for the crappy thing he said AND his behavior. Don't take an "I'm sorry" when what should really be on the menu is "I was drunk/high/concussed when I said I was embarassed of you." THAT is a huge issue and believe me, it's something you will never forget no matter how often he apologizes. If he had a problem with you, the way you look, how you act or carry yourself, then his ass needs to hit the bricks. Kids or no kids, and believe me..I know of what I speak. Don't ever let yourself believe that having kids with this person puts you on lock down. You always have a choice. You deserve better and can GET better if he isn't going to man up and be the man who is worthy of a person like you whose willing to stand by him and raise a family with him. He hasn't been treating you right and that much is obvious. The whole you-can't-go-unless-you're-married thing doesn't really ring true to me. What company takes the time to look into whose married and whose not if they are so big? It's not the military for cryin' out loud...significant other is significant enough for most shindigs. Be careful...trust your gut and don't settle. Think of your kids and how you would want your son/daughter to behave in this situation if it were their life. That's always the real measure of what's right to me. I might settle for some crap that I would never condone for one of my children, and when I think about it that way, it usually turns my light bulb on. God bless....stick to your guns and do not let an apology make you jump back into what sounds like a cycle of behavior with him. Demand change and if he can't ante up, tell him to kick rocks and get the hell out.
  2. Girl, it's PERFECT! It will float just lovely, and that organza sheen it has...thats going to photograph beautifully! NICE job!
  3. Quote: Originally Posted by divadivine25 I think that it really depends on where you are in the world Billysbride. What you refer to as a "quick weave" I know of as a half wig. You basically pull your hair back into a ponytail with the exception of the front perimeter and then attach the wig sing the clips. Your hair is then blended with it...voila. In MY neck of the woods a quick weave is done by molding wet hair with gel till its hard and then attaching wefted track hair with glue to YOUR hair. Depending on the style, some of your hair is left out to cover the tracks or a closure piece is used to close the weave. lol..definitely geography plays a part here! Half wigs are literal for us. Even in the online stores I frequent...half wigs are literally half wigs. The Quick Weave's I'm talking about are an actual brand name. They say that on the tag and are manufactured by a few different companies that offer them now. One of the most prevalent is Outre`. Big white tag with the style name/number/color and a photo of a model wearing the style and the tag always says "Quick Weave". The same type that lodixon is talking about..those are what I'm used to being referred to as quick weaves. Here they are: http://www.expertwigs.com/_e/dept/41...uick_Weave.htm and here: http://store.goldenmartbeautysupply.com/ouquwen.html Weave for us covers both attachment types: bonding with glue, OR sewing in the tracks. If you have a sewn in weave, then you stitch it to cornrows. If you are using bonding glue, the hair just needs to be parted row by row (no cornrows) and blended. I wore mine that way for years back in college, but ultimately it was just too painstaking for me as far as maintanence. I've never heard of anything to do with molding hair with gel! Really, really interesting what varies state to state! I guess for purposes of being uniform, when we talk about a method we need to start putting a short break down OF that method so we don't confuse people any more than they already are if they aren't familiar with these things. lol Who knew weave could be so damn technical?
  4. For the week of 5-04-09 Sharon has a vision. Ashley is rushed to the hospital. A drunken Jill crashes Katherine and Murphy's wedding. Chloe stumbles upon a secret and has a surprising reaction.
  5. Hey, just to clarify..>QUICK WEAVES ARE NOT TRUE WEAVES! There is no glue, and no stitching. They are called "quick weaves" because of the ease of attaching them. It's basically a wig. You can get either "full cap" or "half". Half is used when you only want the length/fullness from about mid-crown to nape. Full is just like it sounds...full head. They have comb attachments front and back. I LOVE them because they allow for a lot of versatility with changing up your look (curly, straight, long, short) without time consuming weaving or gluing and NO damage.
  6. Quote: Originally Posted by lodixon Ok I have a question...Is this the half wig or is this the lace wig? Quote: Savannah I'm going to get mine sewn in also. I go this Friday so wish me luck.. My problem is once I get it sewn in, how will I wear it.. I want an updo. Thats the problem I've always had with sew ins! They are very limiting in a way..you either do a low ponytail or leave it down. Thats the only two ways I know. If you do an updo, you always have that "ledge" in the back. You can try to do it as tight as possible to press it down more...or maybe request that she seperate the weft before she puts it in and do smaller braids in the back so that the hair has a better chance of lying down? I'm not sure.. Quote: Billy bride I really like your hair. I just want to know what kind it is. I'm wear weave also and yours is really nice Thanks! Quick Weave! Though it's not the actual brand name I don't think...I just call all of the partials and full wigs that. I just blended the front and voila! That was my Easter style. It had two combs in front, one in back and lace along the front past the combs...no glue or anything. Just parted my hair about an inch behind my hairline all the way around to behind the ears, used some marcelle's to bump some waves into my hair, and attached the wig. That was it! I've had people tell me I was lying when I said it wasn't mine. lol
  7. I would absolutely KILL to have my guy interested enough in the planning process to join the forum. Major props to you... Welcome aboard..you'll love it here.
  8. Oh, I forgot...Cane buys Jimmy's Bar. lol From CEO to bar owner in a week....only on soaps.

BillysBride, I may be enlisting your help when I decide what kind of hair I need to purchase but my mission now is finding a style because I have NO idea what kind of style I want. I think I need to just start looking at some styles and narrow it down that way. I know I don't want ANY hair in/on my face. I did want something kind of messy looking but then I got to thinking about the wind and the LAST thing I want is for my hair to get messed up before the day is over. I need to get to searching....and register for a photobucket account. Yea girl, just post away! Start narrowing down what you like and just work from there.
  10. Dru would mop the damn floor with Tyra's wimpy ass. I'd actually LOVE to see that smack down...all five minutes of it. hahahaha! Tyra is beautiful, but Eva cannot act. She just has never seemed to find her comfort zone on the show....I can't condone them being together considering how it started. The thing that kills me is that Neil has ALWAYS been so damn righteous it's irritating. And now, he's a hypocrit and still acting self righteous. Assmunch. I'm still waiting for the apology he owes Cane. I know I'm waitin' in vain, but he still owes him one, big time. And especially now that HE has done what he accused Cane of doing.

I am the self proclaimed "quick weaver of the world" lol So I just thought I'd post some pics of me and my quick weaves. They are extremely convenient when you don't feel like doing your hair and need something quick. And like Billysbride said they are very inexpensive and easy to use. They can be a little shiny at first but as she said once you lay on it a few days you'll be good to go. They also have human hair ones that you can curl and etc for about $40 as well as "lace front" quick weaves. The last one is Super Shiny it was when I first got it. - me at MAC -in Miami -sorry about my "just woke up" face lol I was getting ready for work -in miami (I had multiple ones to switch it up! lol) Love the first and the third ones! I am a big Quik Weaver too...seriously, for situations like this (destination wedding trips) I think they are the way to go if you don't want to have to deal too heavily with your own hair. They get a bad rap because i think people assume they are heavy/hot...and they really ARE NOT. They are very open and breathable. I'm gonna start accumulating month to month and doing some serious searching. If I'm able to find a wedding style that I like in a Quick Weave, I'm all over it. The versatility factor is just unmatched. To be able to go from curly, to straight, long to short in a matter of minutes and look amazing is exactly what I need to be focused on.

  14. We're somewhere in the middle. I seriously doubt we'll have more than a dozen people there including the wedding party. I, too, have been married before though it wasn't extravagent (he was in the military so our moms pretty much planned the whole thing while we were out of state. we came home, showed up and the deal was done. lol). We have kids, and quite a bit of family, but lots of older people and family with small children who won't be able to travel. I'm just sort of leaving it open..whoever shows up shows up. But I seriously think it will be around a dozen.

I thought the rivalry between Edward and Jacob to be pretty hilarious, they both had some good one-liners. I know Jacob is unpopular but I really love him as a character in the series...but he is way too good for Bella (as is Edward but hey someone's gotta be with her I guess). I thought it would have been cute to have him get together with that girl wolf...I can't believe I don't remember her name right now haha. Anyway, I don't think it happened in the books because he saw her as more of a sister...that and well everything that happens in book 4 lol. Sorry for rambling hehe. Leah! yea..I agree, I kept waiting for it to "click" between her and Jacob, but then the minute he started acting all whacked out over Bella while she's preggers, I was like "Ah, hell..he's gonna imprint on the kid." Ugh. Thing that really irritated me about Breaking Dawn in particular is that they never allowed us to see Edward bond with his own child. Clearly he loved her and all that...but...damn, the entire book spent more time focusing on a bunch of vamps that we didn't know or care about showing up than it did on the central characters we fell for to begin with. I wanted romance and family bonding and got a dozen "nomad" vampires that I have no desire to ever read about again. Bleh.

  20. Let's not forget...she slept with Jack a couple weeks ago too. lol Can't forget to throw his hat into the daddy ring.
  21. I think this has helped me keep a healthy attitude about it all. Normally, I'd be sweating whether or not so and so was coming....now, I just realize times are tough, and I completely understand anyone who doesn't feel comfortable dropping money to come. I won't be taking it personally at all. My mom is retiring in two months and if WE can't come up with enough extra wedding cash to buy her trip, she may not be there either. I know a lot of people that would kill, but she's just not a beach person anyway, and really didn't enjoy herself at my sisters DW two years ago (believe me, I know I had to take her calls. lol). It's not personal, so if it's unaffordable, she'll just focus on throwing our AHR next year and be there for our legal ceremony. Believe it or not, I'm cool with it. This is about us.
  22. Yea, please keep us posted. I'd like to know how you come out since this is something I'm worried about as well.
  23. Billy knows better than to say it out loud. lol..but then, he's pretty good about housework with a few BIG exceptions. He had the nerve to tell me one day last week (in answer to my asking him if he didn't think I'd like a break from dishes once in a while)..."I don't like doing dishes." I just looked at him and said "Oooh, ok. Well, why didn't you just say so? I mean, it's a good thing I LOVE them. I mean, THANK HEAVEN I have something to look forward to everyday!"
  24. Iiiiiiit's SPOILER TIME!!!!! lol. For this week: Cane tells a very bitter Jill that he quit Chancellor and Jabot. Later, Jill goes to Ashley, determined to tell her that Victor was the one behind buying Kay's stock from Gloria and firing Jack and Ashley from Jabot. Jill's announcement is thwarted when Ashley experiences pregnancy pains. Cane tells Chloe that he has decided to drop the custody battle over Delia. He tells Lily that he resigned from Chancellor and now is looking forward to living a simple life, drama free. Lily makes her own pronouncement that she wants to go back to modeling and together they will be starting over. Cane asks Lily to marry him for the fourth time and she finally accepts. Karen is completely betrayed when Neil asks the court to reconsider its decision and place Ana with Tyra where she belongs. The judge awards Tyra legal guardianship of Ana, which may have cost Neil his marriage to Karen. Neil finds Karen at the apartment with her suitcases packed and she tells him that she is leaving. Paul learns that Clint's autopsy proves that he died of a massive heart attack; however, they still need to find Roger and Annie in order to get Kevin out of the hospital. Amber reveals that they went to Canada. Heather wonders if Adam can see her when he identifies her. Adam tells her that he recognized her perfume. He demands to know why she came by and Heather admits that she is still in love with him. Adam tries to do the right thing by telling Heather to walk away from him, but she can't. Adam thanks Victor for throwing him a party on his birthday. When Adam announces that he is planning to write his own memoirs, Victor is furious. Colleen opens up to J.T. about how difficult losing Brad has been for her, and J.T. starts to feel guilty about helping Victor destroy Colleen. Kay and Cane both hope that Kay and Jill can have a relationship, but are painfully aware that depends solely on Jill meeting Kay halfway. Billy runs into Cane at Jimmy's Bar. Cane calls Chloe to come pick up Billy when he becomes too drunk to drive himself home. Cane tells Lily that he bought Jimmy's bar. While trying to play matchmaker, Lily tries to set Colleen up with Rafe, unaware that he is gay. (Wk of 4/27): Sharon is pregnant.
  25. Y'all suck. I had it all figured out til I came up in here and started messin around talking to YOU people. Ugh!
