That. Is. ADORABLE! I love it! C'mon girl! Besides, when they finally speak up and voice an opinion about something, I think it's pretty hard to deny them. And this is a cute play on the new last name! Embrace it!

Hold out just a little to make him see that he can't just fix everything by reappearing and act like it was nothing what he did to her. I understand the reason he did it and all that, but I guess dispite all his reasons, I think it would be worse to make someone hurt like that. I do still need to read what is out there for Midnight sun though, maybe I'll feel differently about it then. Either way, I still love Edward and Jacob just annoys me! LOL. Here is the way I phrased it to my MOH about the whole Edward sucked for hurting her. In his mind..as someone who TRULY loved another person more than himself? What's better; hurt, or dead? The guy honestly, truly believed she would move on over time. He didn't understand that her tie to him was as strong as his was to her. He thought...she's human, time heals all for her kind, just like he told her when he left. His fear wasn't the danger she was in...it was that her participation in his life would end up getting her killed. That makes it very easy for me to forgive him and I think Meyer did a good job of...highlighting that Bella did get that and understand. As soon as the light bulb came on and she realized he lied, she knew the reason and couldn't hold it against him. There was no reason to make him suffer. It would have, essentially, been punishing someone for loving you enough to want to save your life. -
Yea, part of me WANTS to do a BD shoot. The other part says that I'm going to spend the entire time worried about my stretch marks. lmao I think it could be beautiful...but I'm just not there mentally yet and its soooo not in the already over stretched budget. I have been really good lately about making good decisions in order to allow this wedding to come off the way I dreamed it would. So part of that is knowing what can be sacrificed and what can't. It's hard for me, because I tend to be impulsive when it comes to things I'm interested in, but nope. No BD shoot.

To each his/her own...but I cannot fathom, under any possible circumstance ever thinking Rob Pattinson was ugly. I just...can't. Its more than my mind can conceive of. lol I don't get the Edward hostility. I totally understood his point of view and thought it ws the most loving sacrifice I'd ever read. Especially after reading Midnight Sun and getting a really good look at just how much this girl meant to him. The love and strength it would take to leave ....wow. She seriously was his reason for existing, and he had NO life without her, yet stayed away because he thought it was saving her. That's righteous and forgiveable to me. As far as her taking him back so quick...c'mon. A.) he's the perfect man who treated this plain Jane like gold and B.) after all the crap with Victoria still hunting her, Laurent trying to eat her and seeing Jasper and the rest of the family who actually LOVED her but still wanted to eat her over a paper cut...yea, she had to see why he felt the only way to save her was to leave her. He was motivated by love, and that scores points with me even when that motivation leads to what could be considered questionable judgement. And if its the love of your life who it nearly killed you to lose and you've been walking around half dead for the past 8 months...yea, you're probably going to forgive his ass as soon as you clap eyes on him again. lol -

I think Pattinson looks pretty much the way the author intended and I know the dude had to work for it because he's naturally a really lanky guy. Broad shoulders, but not a gym rat at all. I applaud his efforts and would like to umm...thank him. In person. Repeatedly. tee hee. Wha? Dammit, I'm engaged, not dead! Jeni- I know a lot of "Team Jacob" gals..I don't understand it, but you aren't alone. lol I don't see how Edward was ever a jerk. Dude was pretty much a saint start to finish to me, but not everyone see's it that way for sure. I felt for Jacob throughout New Moon/second book, but by the third..I was ready to slap the hell outta the kid. I kept reminding myself he was young, but all the emotional blackmail crap and whining was just getting on my nerves. The girl said she's just not that into you..back off and deal. lol -

I like Taylor Lautner/Jake. BUT...I still think he was wrong for this role. As Twilight Jake, fine. But..he still very much has a baby face and the kid is short. He packed on like 30lbs of muscle, which is commendable; he clearly wanted the part. BUT, he's short, his frame isn't big enough to pass for someone who supposedly LOOKS 25..and unless they do some Lord of the Rings stuff with the height thing, theres still going to be a problem. And yea, in the book, Bella slams him before he's able to actually step into the sun. Weitz/new director is wanting to show off this new sparkle effect more than the movie allows for though, so hence...we get sparkly Eddie in the plaza. I figure at least this gives the Volturi a good reason for being pissed, so whatever. -

Thought you gals might like to see these....Skip this post if you don't want to see any stills from the sequel. These got paparazzi'd today from the Italian set of New Moon. Shirtless Rob Pattinson, who has INDEED been working out...hallelujah and hot damn that man is fine. The dots that look like moles all over him are "registration points" they will use for what the director has called "a sparkle effect WAY cooler than the one used in Twilight" . lol This dude is a genious. This is the big reunion scene...sorry so big, but the kids are drivin me nuts so I can't take time to resize 'em right now. -
I bought my dress
BillysBride replied to badrianne's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Just gorgeous! And you're a bride! There's absolutely no such thing as too fancy, no matter where you get married! I think it will look amazing. -
lol...you read it right. I'm trying to figure out if such a thing exists, or if I'm going to have to get this man's shirt custom made (which I think I am). He really likes the style of the simple like the cotton Lanai shirts sold via Island Importer...these are the ones. First problem being..they're cotton. For the TTD session I'm not sure how great that would be. It will end up see through and plastered. (I don't mind, but y'know. tee hee) Damn thing looks like it's been through the wringer to me. Second, when we started looking at guayabera shirts, he thought it would be cool to have one with gold embroidery. But...he hates collars. Hates them, hates them hates them. lol He wears dress shirts when necessary, but only when necessary and with the Mexico heat...well, lets just say he's being difficult and sticking to his guns. The look we're going for is this, but without the collar: SO, I'm trying to find out if there is such a thing as a no collar guayabera shirt. I know I've seen a site where you can have them made custom and I may even have it bookmarked somewhere in the hundreds of tabs I've saved on my pc. But I thought I'd ask you gals first. It would have to still be button up which is fine. And I KNOW they could pull off a mandarin collar on a custom shirt so thats likely the way we'll have to go. Anywho...

Wedding Gowns - You VS Model

I think it's that...along with the fact that clothes look better on figures that do not resemble hangers. lmao I mean, geez..clearly, the wholeskin and bones model thing doesn't do a wedding gown justice! Even most petite women have some kinda meat on their bones. I don't know why they do that with the models..maybe to force you to focus on the dress, not whose wearing it? I dunno. -
Oye, the pressure! Great group o'gals there..hmm..... OK, voted. Good luck ladies!

Voted! Good luck ladies!!!

Well heck, lucky I decided to check in here! That's amazing! SOOOO happy for you that you got those hot lil' suckers back in your possession. And hey, as far as I'm concerned BLESS THAT LADY for not just pitching the package and calling it a day! People can be TRULY inconsiderate when it's something that doesn't belong to them, believe me I know! So glad she decided to at least hang on to it and this situation could be corrected. What a relief for you. Damn, you'll have to let us know what hubby says when you relate the tale...lol.

Maybe if I make a list...VENTING
BillysBride replied to ashey063009's topic in Just venting or funnies
Ya hear that? No? Well, dammit cuz I'm on my feet giving you a standing "O" girl. You HAVE been through the ringer, and a lesser woman really would have thrown in the proverbial towel. Just goes to show, victory comes to those who perservere. You're gonna have a great time and soon, all the b.s. will be a rapidly fading memory. Congrats on making it through! -
Christie, what the hell were you thinking? lmao..sorry! I kid, I kid! Your dream dress is BEAUTIFUL! Why on earth would you think it was "too much"?? And trust me, I'm in no position to judge on the entire issue of buying a dress too soon; my dress searches are the stuff of legend around here. lol You are entirely right in your thinking....this is your wedding and the ONE thing you need to be rock solid on other than the guy next to you is that you feel and look beautiful. Don't settle when you're not happy about a dress, period. The first dress is very classic and timeless. I like it. BUT, the second dress is more intricate without being overpowering AT ALL, so do not walk around worrying about looking over the top. I swear, when I read your post I was expected 8 miles of tulle in the pic! It's a beautiful gown, that looks very much like a modern wedding gown! I really think it suits you and it's stunning! What are we alway saying around here? Please YOURSELF. At the end of it all when everyone has left and it's just you, hubby and your memories....you want to look back with no BIG regrets. It's obvious that if you don't get the dress you love you're gonna regret it, so do it and be happy! Now...about this "hippier" crap. Watch your language when you are talking to the walking-birth-center-with-a-mermaid-gown over here. hahahahahahaha! No no..I get it. It's all about comfort and if you aren't comfortable wearing something like that being more of an hourglass then it's definitely a no-no. Me? I'm gonna swing these suckers left to right all the way down that aisle and whoever gets hurt it's just too bad. tee hee
-
I agree with the other girls...they all look really pretty on you, but if none of them are It or you just aren't loving any of them in particular, it's no big deal. I really like #'s 2, 3 and 5! First trip is hard and so overwhelming just with all the clothes changes and different styles you never even considered. Take your time...deep breath, do some online searches and get some ideas about some styles you might like to try for the next go round. It'll turn up!

One invite I never want to design... well maybe...

BAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh crap, thats CLASSIC! Must save...thanks for the laugh. I SWEAR this was right on time today. So needed! -
Oh, hey Kimmy! Yea..the hematoma has gone down nicely. I even took my steri-strips off today! Billy was wiggin'..he didn't think I should do it, but one of the doc's in the room wanted to last week and the other just said "Oh, she's been through enough today. With that swelling it may hurt a little." so they let me keep 'em on. I figure if they were ready to come off a week ago, they were more than ready to come off now, and they were..no problem! My incision looks GREAT which I had feared I'd never be able to say. Even with the residual swelling on either side of it/top and bottom, they did it right in one of the natural creases and I think when it is fully healed it will blend nicely!

Damned when I do and damned when I don't
BillysBride replied to itsfinallyhere's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
Sweetie, PLEASE step back and let these people stew in their own damn juices. They are being absolutely ridiculous, plain and simple. There's just no other word for it. Causing you all this grief and remorse over some damn etiquette shit? Pfft..please. YOU tell 'em what's what and let the chips fall where they may. I don't blame your man for wanting to step in. It's obvious you're upset and the only person that has enough sense other than him to put an end to this nonsense is YOU, so do it. Put your foot down, let them know enough is enough and on the grand scale of LOVING YOU AND WANTING TO SEE YOU HAPPY...what the f*cking f*ck does the damn return address on a bunch of invites have to do with the big picture? Please...these people need to chillax, have a damn martini and a valium or somethin. Ridiculous. They are being insane, so don't let them drag you into it. Rise above, ignore and be blissful. -
Awww..I'm emotional just looking at those beauties! You looked amazing on your wedding day, and what a truly fun and relaxing time it looks like you and your merry band of a wedding party had in Punta!! Heck, I miss those palapas too and I haven't even been! CONGRATULATIONS on squeezing every single finger lickin' good drop outta those lemons life TRIED to hand you,...MRS!!!!

"Twilight" Series and Movie Discussion--WARNING! Spoilers!
BillysBride replied to lovefreddy's topic in Random Thoughts
Yea...I gleefully and proudly admit to being just about the biggest Twilight geek I know of in my circle of friends. But the movie sucked. Big time. Huge. I love me some Rob Pattinson, but he was the ONLY thing good about it and thats even factoring in the whole books-to-movies-usually-suck thing. The only thing they did right with that film is cast him. lol But I do like the other actors ..I think they are all perfect except for those who play Rose and Jasper. I don't know what the hell they were thinking on those two. That chick is no where near anything I'd call "the most beautiful girl in the world", and he doesn't have a physically dominating presence, though the actor in real life is really nice looking out of that horrible makeup they had on him in the first one. The sequel coming out in November (on my b-day no less!) is going to be FAR superior...better director (thankfully), bigger budget and better yet..a director WILLING to use that budget to invest in the things necessary to make it what it should be. Even the vampires look better..the whole thing is just way slicker and more polished. I actually eerrr..sorta got my hands on a copy of the script. Don't think I'm a stalker. lol I got it from one of the communities I post in online. But yea..it's better. Way better. Dont' give up on the whole thing just because of the first shonky ass movie...go see the sequel for sure. Yael- they integrate some of Edward's point of view into the next movie, so we actually get to SEE what he's doing/going through. Should be pretty cool.
