  1. Oooo, nice deal! I may have to look into them! Those are too cute!
  2. lol..gotta love the fangirls! Truth be told? I'm honestly more of a Pattinson fanatic than I am Twi-hard. I know..difficult to believe.tee hee I just learn everything about the saga/movies because I follow all he is involved in and I LOVE the books. I doubt I'd care much anymore if he hadn't been in that first flick since it was such a complete failure in my eyes, if not the box office. He's an amazing singer (blues) and musician. I'm a huge fan. I remember 13....fondly. I'd so have my gear on and sport it proudly! lol ...I can't wait for my girls to get to that stage, and I am sooooo tryin to hang on to the last vestiges of that feeling so that I can share it with them. And yea..the newmoon blogging site is FANTASTIC. That chick is on top of her game! There are some great fan-made "trailers", especially the ones showing Steven Strait (actor from The Covenant and 10,000 B.C.) in the role of Jacob..I was so rooting for him to be the re-cast til they announced that Lautner convinced them he could step up. He still looks like a child, whereas Strait looks like....a man. grrrrrowl! Whatta man! lol
  3. So..I took the GORGEOUS STD's that Ana De Roux made for me and added the final touches. Metallic bronze ribbon, perforation along one end for a "ticket" stub to which I put a magnetic strip on the back for folks to be able to keep on their fridge. Palm tree hole punched it, and am in the process of adding the cutest RSVP stamps in my colors that I found here: Espresso RSVP from Zazzle.com And here are the stamps, still in route: Tropical Sky Background from Zazzle.com I was kinda hesitant about printing the brown text on the newsletter paper I picked, but it actually turned out really rich looking and picked up the browns in the palm trees. I'm happy! I printed the jackets out of "White Gold" metallic text weight paper, and voila! Finished! Little things, but I really like the overall effect. Feels good to have added my own touches and I think peeps will like, so I wanted to share cuz this girl is NOT Martha Stewart so every little bit makes me so proud! Excuse the pics, had to take them with my Blackberry since FI killed our camera last week. Hard to see, but this is where the perforation line is...

It's always like a big online party any night something Twilight goes down. lol

Peter Facinelli is HAWT out of the vamp makeup. I think he makes a splendid Carlisle! Love his voice. The creep factor is the hair job...they dyed it waaaay too light in the first movie. It almost blends into his face. From the looks of it, I don't think they changed it much either. To be honest, I think they nailed the casting all the way around with the exception of the Hales. I'm just not feelin' either one of 'em in these roles, though I like Jasper so much I just over look the physical wrongness of the actor. lol Kellan Lutz makes the PERFECT Emmett and I just wish they had let them all have more screen time to showcase what they can actually do with their roles...but this next go round should be better. They also changed the contact lenses and the makeup...looks sooooo much better, slicker, more polished and just more REAL than what they did last time. You could barely tell they even had "odd" eyes in the first movie. This go round, they'll pop and really are gold. The bad vamps/nomads eyes are actually BLOOD red, the way they should be,which is cool. I couldn't even tell anything about theirs in the first flick. Check out this lil' ditty to see what they've done to the makeup/contacts..Pattinson doesn't have his in, but Rachelle LeFevre/Victoria (who is so freakin gorgeous she sickens me) has her contacts in, and Ashley/Alice is in full gear. It looks awesome! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODNY0...eature=related
  6. You guys are just GORGEOUS together! What fantastic pics! I can't wait to see more, more MORE!!!! Love the ones where you're laying back in the water; romantic, sexy AND sweet all rolled up in one! Keep 'em comin girl!
  7. My initial thoughts on the dvd's: Unless you are completely clueless when it comes to dancing, the Beginners dvd is useless. lol It spends a lot of time, breaking down the dance moves, then repeating them...then just when you start to get even just a tiny bit warm, they move on to slowly breaking down the next. No thanks, I'll be putting that one away and not getting it back out. The Abs, Buns & Glutes dvd....decent, but not much different than almost ANY exercise video you would find. There were..maybe 2 moves in there I was not familiar with, and I'm no exercise officienado--by any stretch of the imagination. It does give you a nice average burn, but again..no different than any floor workout. To be honest, I MUCH prefer my Bender Ball and it's dvd for ab work. That thing is freakin' fabulous. I think this one lasts about 20-30 min, I honestly lost track. I'm moving on to the Advanced Workout, which if I had even thought of starting there the other day, I'd have probably had my head checked. I just can't see it being all that difficult in terms of DOING it, but it will probably be hard getting THROUGH it because of all the cardio I expect to be on there. I have no stamina yet, but I'm already strong enough to deal with the first too way too easily to stick with them for even a week. So..there ya have it. I'll report back in another few days.
  8. I'm so/so on Jasper/Jackson Rathbone. I LOVE him as an actor and think he's hot. But for Jasper...I think he's too small. Still, I can get past it. They could have done better regardless of it being made from a book. Ofcourse, they had to condense. That's expected. The script for New Moon is BRILLIANTLY condensed and it doesn't leave out any key elements or information. Going into filming Eclipse, the audience will be well prepared because New Moon is gonna do a kick ass job of covering the bases that need to be covered AND compensating for the missing info in Twilight. It just pisses me off cuz it shouldn't have been necessary. Twilight could have been SO much better than what it was. Now we have so many people not understanding what all the fuss is about, because they saw this shitty movie after all the hype. lol That grinds my gears. I'm off to hunt down Hardwicke's address:)
  9. Awww..CONGRATS on the baby news!! For sure, that's the best! Add a house and that continued newlywed glow, and you are, no doubt, in the zone right now!
  10. OOoo, I do love Ashley Greene/Alice. She made Maxim's Hot 100 list a couple week's ago, and the pics were stunning! I think she makes a cute lil' Alice with just the right amount of pixie. I think I may have a girl crush...sshh..don't tell FI. Wait..he might actually like it, so nevermind. hahahaha!
  11. Thats great that she was able to be honest, even if it took so long and so much water had to pass under your bridge. It takes hear to 'fess up to wrongdoing.... BUT, it takes even more to accept someone's apology when they've hurt you for no good reason other than their own hang ups. So, ((HUGS)) to YOU! You're a great friend.

Bring your normal products and appliances and I don't think they should have a problem if they are professionals. It could be worse, you could be going to ..Ireland or something where you know the average stylist hasn't EVER had her hands in a head of coarse/AA hair! haha! There are all kinds of hair types in the Yucatan, so I'm sure they will be well versed in dealing with your hair and getting it styled as you like.
  13. Y'allall up in here discussing when half of us are in the "Chocolate Brides" thread in the wedding attire forum! haha! Maybe one of the mods can merge? At any rate, Desi, you looked BEAUTIFUL! I really love that piece and you rocked it girl. You have me crackin up talkin about sweating bullets. I'm a quick weaver/lace front girl (the comb attachments, not the glues) and I even lay wear 'em during the summer months from time to time without too much trouble...but Vegas? I bow to you, ma! 114 degrees and STILL looked good.

WHAT THE HELL was she thinking? NO mention of the Volturi? The most key part of the entire sequel? The culmination of the WHOLE movie New Moon is going to come off as being formula; like they just threw these badass royalty vamps in to stir up controversy for the sequel. I mean, they didn't even mention Jasper's ability at all. How on earth can you go an entire film and mention nothing of what one of the key players in the sequels is capable of? It's not like Twilight (the book) glazed over Jasper's gift. It was discussed AND utilized more than once, so I don't see where this chick even came from just leaving it out entirely. Not to mention, the meadow scene...oooye, my meadow scene. W.T. EFFFING EF??! lol Why the hack job? Could she not have taken that ten minutes, put them on a hiking trail...a real one, NOT 100 yrds from the damn school grounds, and let it just HAPPEN? The way the first movie treated their relationship, people who haven't read the books are likely going to go into the sequel not understanding the girls devastation when he leaves because it came off as flippin puppy love in the first film. She spent so much time adding crap that wasn't in the book, thinking it was going to entertain moviegoers, that she left out huge chunks of what needed to be in there. I'm done. Thinking about this ditz is givin me a headache. I'm off to look for a TTD online....that's my current happy place...la la la la laaaaa!
  15. Hey girl...check Ebay. TONS of sellers (store sellers) have them there and you can use the Buy It Now function. Most of them list them for .99-2.00 and you can order however many you need as long as they have them in stock.
  16. Trust me, you are not alone. I'll pass along something useful my TA just told me last night when responding to an email I'd sent her voicing some frustration. Now, I should preface this by saying that I was/am frustrated because the WC sent ME an UNSOLICITED email promising wedding package info on a certain date. Out of the blue, and after several emails I'd sent had gone without response for weeks at a time. When the date (which was the following Monday) came and went, I emailed her to touch base, and again..haven't heard anything since. THAT pissed me off because I wasn't hounding her, trying to be patient and if she wasn't going to follow through on a promise SHE extended without pressure from me, then she shouldn't have made it as far as I'm concerned. Now, I dont' think my TA would mind my sharing a snippet of her email. Here goes: I am not sure if you are aware of this, but many of the “wedding coordinators†that are the first contact, such as ***** ******** are not all located at the resorts. There is usually a first point of contact, then after submitting a form/contract they assign a local coordinator to you. I just had 2 last month that began in spring of 2008 for planning and this is how both were handled. One was at an Iberostar Resort and another at a Riu property. This is standard in the industry, BUT you should be getting a least an email. This is also a cultural difference I have found. In the U.S., we expect everything immediately. In other cultures, if there is nothing new, they sometimes don’t stay in contact as much as we would like. These are not things that came as a complete suprise, but I was glad to be reminded and reassured that the lack of communication is COMPLETELY normal and just the way it is in some regions. The thing we have to remember as 2010 brides; our dates are the last ones they are worried about. Sounds terrible, but it's true when they have couples coming into the resorts every weekend, getting married NOW. We are typical eager brides, ready and wanting to seal the deal so we can take our daydreaming to the next level and feel secure that all those dreams are going to come true. To them, we probably seem worried for nothing with dates anywhere from eleven months to more than a year out! That's a long time, and they figure we have plenty of time and if we weren't sure we wanted to use their resort, we wouldn't be so insistently contacting them. Should we be treated with a bit more courtesy? ABSOLUTELY. I think it's unprofessional to not at least drop a one or two line email saying "Just wanted you to know that I did receive your last correspondence. We are working on ___ and will contact you as soon as possible." How long does that take? I'm sure they get dozens per day...still no excuse in my book, but I do think my TA was right..it's just a different mentality down there. Add that to us being over anxious brides (for good reason) and it's just a bad mix. lol
  17. Again..rebel without a clue here. lol Umm...HELL nah you weren't wrong. And ya wanna know how I know that? Because of what you found. Yea, you shouldn't have done it, but sometimes, I'm sorry-but the ends justify the means when it's something like being stabbed in the back. You didn't boil any puppies or sacrifice a live virgin here. You got sneaky with someone who has been LYING in your name, behind your back for probably a long time. Who KNOWS what kind of damage this person could do/has done to your reputation amongst people you may actually care about? And people like that certainly aren't about to be real with you simply because you ask. So I'm sorry, I'm not about to go the virtuous route and tell you "oh, for shame...you got what you deserved" You were getting something you did NOT deserve by being left in the dark about what this person was doing. I'm sure you'll have to pay in some ways for having been underhanded about the methods you used to get the info, but it's still good that you know so that you can give this fool the heave ho out of your life and get that knife out of your back. I'd rather be known for having done something sneaky for a damn good reason and OWN that transgression, than to be known for things I didn't do, nor say all because someone I thought was a friend was lying about me. Oh, and p.s-- feel guilty about WHA? I'd sleep like a baby and have good dreams to boot. Feeling guilty about this would be like feeling guilty about sneaking a peek around the curtain in the examination room and seeing the doctor putting arsenic in the syringe before he plunged it into your arm. Sometimes, ya gotta peek to save yourself. Clearly, your gut was telling you something for damn good reason.
  18. hahahaha! I have SO done that before! Then you comb through the break room drawers hoping like hell someone had the grace not to throw away their unused plastic utensils? lol

Have I mentioned I <3 u? lol Man, do I have questions. I'll start with the two biggest. Whats up with the headaches I've had since becoming hypo and do you feel that it's common practice to physicians to shoot for TSH levels between 1-2 as optimal? What I'm hearing from fellow post total thyroidectomy patients is that optimal numbers for overall good health and healthy weight balance is BELOW 1. I haven't had a chance to talk to my endo yet since I dont' see him for another 5wks. He wanted me on my L-thyroxine for six weeks before rechecking my levels. Oh, and what about the generic form because that's what I'm on. I've heard about fillers having adverse effects. Whats your take on that? My hair really took a hit with the Graves and now I'm hoping it rebounds, but I heard that part of the problem with generic thyroxine is it can cause hair loss? bah! I feel GREAT..more energy than I've had in four years and I realize now how truly sick I was! It's wierd how you get acclimated to feeling a certain way and start to believe it's normal. I thought a lot of how I felt was just stress and motherhood even after I knew I had hyperthyroidism. I can't even believe what I get done in a day's time now, just 2 wks post op..it's insane!
  20. Thought I'd resurrect this thread to see if anyone is still doing classes or the dvd's? I just got the dvd's today and will start tomorrow. The only classes in my area don't work with our schedule, so I thought I'd try the dvd's out and see how I felt. Now that I'm two weeks post-op, I can start doing some moderate exercising. I really want to start now since my goal is to tone up and firm and I'd like time to do that without feeling the pressure. I've got a ways to go considering I was restricted from any kind of cardio this past two years due to my health (heart palpitations associated with hyperthyroidism). Now, my metabolism comes from one little pill each day and I want to do all I can to support it. I liked circuit training, but with four toddlers going to the gym isn't all that convenient either. I love to get my groove on and dance though, so I figured what better than learning something new?! Anyway, anyone tried 'em and liked 'em? Classes? Oh, for anyone interested in the dvd's, I got the full set, brand new still in the shrink wrapped box set for $25 w. free shipping via an Ebay store. I'd be happy to share the info with anyone interested! (so sayeth the Ebay queen o'cheap lol) There are 4 dvd's in the set, starting with Beginners, then Abs, Thighs and Buns (or something like that), Advanced then Power. I'll update in a few days and give my thoughts! I'm going to shoot for doing the workout at least 3 days a week.
  21. Awww, thanks Yael! I can talk about this junk all day. FH is tired of me. lol I don't even blame Twilight's failure on the budget. They had like 35 mil, which by industry standards is nothing...but can anyone even look at that movie and tell where $35,000,000 went? lol I know I can't. It was all Catherine Hardwicke's fault. She had this "vision" of what she wanted Twilight to look like....quirky and campy I think were the words she used. She didn't WANT much CGI and spent money on amazing shit like having the Forks, Wa sign duplicated and adding trees to scenes. I'm not kidding. I just feel like finding an address to send her a nasty-gram saying "You stupid ho, you screwed up my book!". Seriously, she sucks. And has anyone gotten the dvd? There is a voice over cast commentary for one of the Play options, and I swear, it is soooooo revealing. Rob P and Kristen Stewart are funny, a little embarassed..but giving some good insights into the characters and what they were thinking when they filmed this or that. Hardwicke sounds and acts like she did way too much acid in the 60's. Which would actually explain a lot about that first flick. bah! Jax- In Eclipse, remember when the Cullens "babysit" Bella overnight and Rose comes in to talk to her? She tells her the story of how she became a vamp and just why she "hates" her. I thought it was kind of funny because hearing the story, its clear she doesn't really hate the girl, BUT she refuses to say she doesn't.lol Its like equal parts jealousy (like Edward said) and just plain anger. She's jealous for two reasons; Bella is human with all the opportunities that were taken from her when Rose was changed. And second, Carlisle thought there was a chance Rose and Edward would fall in love. Edward was never interested and made it clear from the start. Now, they make it clear that Rose isn't jealous because she truly wanted Edward, it was more the fact that EVERYONE she had ever known wanted her and when he didn't, it stung the ole female vanity. Then along comes mousy, average looking Bella and Edward is head over heels. Rose can't understand it and it makes her doubt the one thing she's always been secure in; her wondrous beauty or whatever. (again, they should have gotten a different chick to play the part cuz Nikki Reed is pretty, but not all that) Last part of her Bella hate is that she is just plain pissed and shocked that Bella would willingly throw away all Rose herself has ever wanted. Remember the vote scene after they come back from Italy and Bella asks the family to vote on her becoming a vamp? Rose says "No" but asks Bella to wait and hear her out, then goes on to say that she wishes someone had been there to vote no for her at the time. She thinks its insane and infuriating that Bella treats all the wonders of humanity so casually and is willing to throw it away for love.
  22. OK, am I really the only one who thinks the veils blowing in the wind are insanely pretty? But then, I'm not wearing one, so maybe I can afford to be impractical. lol
  23. Remy is fine if you're ordering on your own, online or whatever. From what I remember, the only thing that makes it so special is that it's all the same grain. In other words, the follicles are all one direction cuz it supposedly comes from one "doner". Yea, right. I personally don't believe all that stuff is human anyway, so whatever. haha! There are some bald headed indigenous folk walkin round somewhere.... Holy crap, Pepper- you are really in the count down stage! What style(s) are you looking at? I have a hard time with sew in's. I just feel too...restricted or whatever. They can look amazing, I'm just spoiled at this point and like being able to put it all up, ponytails and what not without worrying about the ridges. I also like being able to show a lil' scalp/part. AND I change my hair too much. That would be wasted effort and money with a sew in for me.
  24. I was annoyed with him AND Bella in the 2nd book. I thought Jacob was a bit manipulative with Bella even after she told him she only wanted to be friends, but I also thought Bella was leading him on a bit, she knew he had feelings for her. At first I thought Jacob was going to imprint on the girl wolf, but as soon as Bella was preggers, I knew he'd imprint on the baby, especially after he was saying someone in his pack imprinted on a child...I know it is not supposed to be sexual or anything until they are grown up, but I still find it a little creepy. He definitely did leave her unprotected and that is a fact that was all on him. BUT, in his defense (fictional character that needs defending? where's my medication?) he had no reason to believe Victoria gave a damn about Bella. He didn't realize her attachment to James was that serious OR that she would think to act against Bella in retaliation against HIM as the man who killed James. As far as Laurent goes...he left town as a friend basically. As a nomad, no one would suspect that he would even have reason to come back to Forks, let alone want to harm Bella. He didn't before, and I think if he had stumbled upon her in any other situation other than alone in the middle of nowhere, he wouldn't have even been tempted. Same odds as any other vampire finding her alone and unprotected..just instinct to do what they naturally do. Could have happened to anyone. Just stuff that poor Eddie had no way of ever guessing. What I DO wonder is why Alice didn't see anything. Other than the fact that she can't see the wolves and they were such a presence in Bella's life at that point I suppose. Still, you would have thought there would have been something about Victoria that slipped through the cracks of her visions... Ignore me at any time, girls. I'm addicted and I love discussing all the books, so I tend to ramble in case ya can't tell. *how embarassing*
