  1. OK, I found it! Wow..this is just what I've got in my head too. It's blonde and she ain't chocolate, but whatever. The look will be the same. I'll post the dress I'm having made too...from one of the overseas manufacturers. The pic looks funny cuz I'm actually having them blend the two styles. The top of one dress with the fabric and bottom of the other..so the pic looks like the chick has three arms. lolol. I need a nap--sittin here crackin up at my own damn self. Anyway...I'll post hairstyle with the gown for each and you guys can tell me if you think it will pull together the right way. . Ceremony + Hair: Maggie Sottero's "Phillipa" is my wedding gown..I'm hoping for...elegant. with the hairstyle above... And here is my ttd look if you can imagine it all together...for my TTD pics I want..soft and romantic. Romance novel cover stuff. hahaha!

Savannah provided some great options for styling with quick weaves and buns that can definitely allow you to have your hair pulled away from your face. However, if you are set on having a weave sewn-in I would suggest that you have a partial weave done leaving most of your hair out at the front and sides so that when you pull your hair away from your face it looks natural. Also, to ensure that your weave isn't so bulky make sure that your stylists makes your braids pretty small so that the weave can lay flat. I hope this helps Quote: Savannah I am with you!! I have been making purchases here and there so that I am not so overwhelmed with buying them next year. I already bought my shoes, jewelry, feather hair clip, things for my BM gifts, and I think I will finally be purchasing my dress in the next couple weeks... That is really the only thing that has me a little worried, I'm just hoping that I'm not buying it too soon and end up seeing something else later that I just have to have!! Yesterday 10:43 PM Right! I'd love to be able to just go buy a crapload of stuff at once like so many others...but that's just not the way I roll. It's much easier and more affordable for me to gather as time passes. Plus, i think I make better decisions because I'm not under the gun with the time factor. I make stupid decisions based on what is available to me when I'm pressed for time. The things I want end up not being in stock, or I just can't find 'em. So that's another reason I'm trying to buy as I go. I think I found my two styles last night--and narrowed down how I'm gonna accomplish both! I should be able to quick weave both...just make some minor adjustments for my TTD style so that I can get as active as I need to without worrying about it. Here's my wedding day look. I love it that it's classic, but so loose...lends it some informality I think while still keeping it elegant....though I have a really funny/stupid question for y'all. Which side should the veil hang? There will be a slight "wispy" kinda bang on the other side of this style, similar to this side, just not as much hair out. So...which side do I drape the birdcage veil over? lol Still gotta find a pic of what I have in mind for my TTD style. It's in my head right now...lol.
  3. I'm so budget conscious, I love planning everything out so that I can manage expenses. I'm buying everything in advance as I go! Even the hair if I can help it....sure will. Don't make me box it up and pack it in tissue paper! hahahaha
  4. Mesita--oooooo, I LOVE a different kinda plan! Can't wait to see the two together, I'm thinking that might end up being something really different and beautiful.

Here's what it looks like... Ooooo, STUNNING! (Sigh) I soooo love wedding gowns. I think I have an unhealthy fixation. I gotta stay off this board. lol
  6. Damn, do I have to choose just one? Can't you get both? lol OK...I'd say..depending on what time your ceremony is, I'd probably go with #2 for a daytime wedding. Anything approaching sunset, definitely #1. Does that help? lol

Girl, you know if they had announced the "P" word, I'da been all over that.lol As is, it's just not that serious with the lineup they've got....Patti isn't going to do any of the events this year, I'm pretty sure. It's just pointless, cuz nothing would get done--just screaming and security. Damn fangirls. If i can get a bead on him doing a live gig at any point..a bar gig, where the crowd is sure to be over 21, then I'm THERE. lol I think he's an amazing musician, so it would be worth it to try getting in.
  8. Umm...Mr. Pattinson evidently damn near shut down JFK this morning. lol UNF--those eyes. ....I'd like to thank the great state of Mississippi, and natural cotton manufacturers EVERYwhere.
  9. I just can't make up my mind. My INITIAL plan was to go for long and loose...kinda wild, maybe with even some seed pearls scattered throughout. But then, my dress changed, and now I'm thinking I'll do that for my TTD session since my dress is more the romantic breezy kind for that. My ceremony gown is very elegant, so thats why I'm thinking of a side something or another with the birdcage veil. Decisions, decisions.....
  10. Blurb from Stephenie Meyer's web site this morning: Thank you, everybody who voted at the MTV Movie Awards! It was awesome to see Twilight get so much love. Congratulations to Catherine and Rob and Kristen and all of the cast and everyone at Summit and everybody on the crew! You all did an amazing job and you deserve your popcorn! Twilight fans are the best! XOXO Steph P.S. You got to see a little taste of New Moon tonight, but I promise you this: when it comes to New Moon, you haven't seen anything yet! Can November please come faster? Oh, and Taylor/Jacob confirmed my suspicion about the trailer being shown with scenes out of sequence. If anyone has wondered why it looks like Jacob comes in and phases over Bella's head to save her from Laurent...they just picked scenes out of sequence for maximum effect. That is actually the scene where he intervenes to save Bella from Paul. The bad vamps contacts are outrageously cool...but the good vamps contacts are truly GOLD this time! Hard to see in the trailer-they didn't show any full on face shots of any of the Cullens. But they are gorgeous, glowing gold/amber...just like they should be. Can't wait! Incidentally? The movie releases on my birthday!! Yea...they did that on purpose. hahahaha Last year, it was the night after my b-day, so it was still part of my birthday presents/celebration. Billy took me to dinner and Twilight thinking he would just suffer through it and instead..he liked it! He got a lil' pumped when I showed him the trailer this morning.
  11. All hail the fandom! The trailer aired 14 minutes ago, and it is UP! YouTube - EXCUSIVE - New Moon Official Trailer
  12. First pics coming in..so far, Twilight's has won every category they was nominated for. Best Kiss Best Fight Break Through Actor/Pattinson

I think it's actually the first draft, but it's damned good. If anyone wants it...I'll share. Just gimme an email address and forget we had this conversation. lmao OK, ladies...showtime in about an hour. Luckily for me, the kids will be down by then and I can concentrate on the madness-tee hee. Here are some links that may be helpful throughout the evening..use them at will. 15. I think it's beautiful, AND different, but not in a wierd way. lol..if that makes sense, it's completely positive. Every gal is different, but since you're asking for personal opinions-there's mine!
  16. This/these are something I've yet to try! I'm going to though, so good to get some opinions on what works. Thanks for posting!
  17. Came across these on Ebay last night and thought I'd post. Depending on what your particular blue is, these would be a great steal for someone. $10 for 36-16oz Travel Mugs
  18. This is where I'm pretty sure I'm getting mine from. I was amazed and bookmarked it right away because they are the first that I've seen to carry yellow/gold with brown accent piping. Hard to come by!

So would I need to get a sew in to obtain a full bun or can I just get clip ins or one of those pony tails that have the elastic Help! Thanks! Mesita Hey Mesita! Wow, your day is fast approaching!! You gotta be so excited--I'm insanely jealous girl. OK..I definitely would NOT recommend a sew in for a bun. The buldges would hamper your trying to get that sleek bun look. To be honest, if you're just wanting that look for the day of--your best bet is an actual bun piece! They sell them and they can look AMAZING since they give you the option of doing a side or middle part. Full range of color, braided buns, twists, or just chignons! Don't worry-they should all have comb attachments and some even have draw string on top of that to securely hold them. Them things ain't goin' NO.WHERE. lol Monica's wedding day look TOTALLY sold me on doing a bird cage veil. I honestly think that depending on the type of veil, you can definitely do a side ponytail and have it look beautiful. I'm actually thinking of sweeping mine to the side, attaching a flower behind one ear and doing the birdcage veil on top, but mostly over one side of my face. I hadn't really thought about it before, but seeing how elegant hers looked amazed me--just really set off her bridal look! I'm still debating on just what I'll do with my hair, but I'm pretty sure I'll just bring supplies for a couple of different looks and decide the day before. In case I get up that morning and stuff just ain't workin' right, I'll have some back up material with me. Here, try this site, though there are tons others as well as just walking into your averge black hair corner store. The link should take you directly to the bun section (I hope): Hair Sisters.com

The hair used was Milkey Way bulk hair. Let me know if you have any questions. OOOh, please thank her for updating us! We were dying here! And let her know we can't wait for her return. That hair style turned out FANTASTIC! I love it! It's so bridal-chic. lol
  21. Holy crap, the parodies are always hysterical! There's one...I'll have to see if I saved it today. But they have the guy playing Edward during the meadow scene, and it's like: Edward: "Say it!" Bella: "Everyone knows vampires dont sparkle?" Edward: "Say IT!!!" Bella: "You have no fangs?" Edward: "SAY IT!!!" Bella: "Too skinny?" It's HIGHlarious!
