  3. oh maaannnn. thats quite the dilemma... first off I am sorry for your loss. sad. Have you talked to your fiance about that and how you don't feel right about it? if he still wants to do that could you compromise perhaps? spend half the money on cigars and half on donations?
  4. that sounds like a wonderful wedding to me.. catamarans are always a great time when i've been on them. plus key west is a wonderful picturesque place
  5. It's so nice to hear people posting wonderful things about their photographers... much love I've seen some bad reviews on here and that is never fun to read that any vendor makes a couples wedding memories unpleasent. Nice work Octavio
  6. i like.. wait. nooo... I LOVE the salad i made for dinner tonight raspberry chipotle chicken with grilled asparagus and basalmic vin dressing salad.. oh man so so so good
  7. my favorite one was the one with you laying down with the comforter . great shot
  8. thats stunning and going to make for some AMAZZING photos make sure you post them
  9. i've stayed at both barcelo and iberostar. both were great barcelo managed to loose my luggage for a few hours though. hahaha. they were seeming to have problems with that when i showed up but it sorted itself out
  10. you can totally do it.. 20K is a great budget for destination.. of course you can always go over hahah. That's up to you congrats on the engagement and welcome to the forum
  11. One of the photos that gets commented on most on my website is a bride wearing a vintage looking short wedding dress. I think it looked great on her. i say do whatever you want and love most it's your wedding
  12. Oh any Dreams Resort is wonderful. You should love it. Why is it costing too much? are there costs that werent expected? or did prices go up?
  13. Cozumell is soooo wonderful. I love it down there. Every time I am down in that area i head out there and go scuba diving with "scuba tony" . Trust me IF YOU DON'T go scuba diving you will regret it It's so gorgeous there under the water. It's like flying congrats on the wedding. Can't wait to see you post some photos
  14. ya know what.. i say DO IT.. send out a pre-thank you card.. I hate when i go to a wedding and I dont get a thank you card for months after. if they were thoughful enough to send out a gift early i say return the kindness with a little extra special early thank you card. then BAAAMM double up with a second one after the wedding.
  15. ahhh eloping.. awesome. congrats on the engagement. which island are you looking at? I recommend Kauai. It's so gorgeous and so peaceful.
  16. hahaha. well not much sure on pointers on how to get them to respond quicker BUTTT the number one thing to remember... GET EVERRYYYTHING in writing in the contract. Down to the cost of the dinners and where you will have it and that you will be the only reception there. The resorts are notorious for switching things so dont let them do that
  17. oh that is just frustrating to hear that. I am sorry. I hate when vendors give me a bad name by luring you in with a cheap price and then try and stick you with hidden charges and stuff. They are pretty much worse than used car salesmen.. UGH... ON A SIDE NOOOOTE.... I am shooting a wedding 45 mins out side of london. PLEASE tell me where I need to go in London to really experience London. Not just the tourist traps.
  18. If it is within budget to have the cocktail hour. DO IT... from a photographer stand point I love when they have a coctail hour because it's usually a little cooler and typically the sun is starting to set at that point and makes for amazing photo opportunities. If it's going to make the budget tighter and you need to cut something then make sure you plan enough time for some photos around that time to sneak away and get photos taken
  19. The Dreams in the Mayan Riviera are amaazing. I love when I am at any Dreams Resort down there. The one in Tulum is about 1.5 hours south and is wondrful if you really want to get away and have a nice quiet get away. The one in Cancun is a little more adventurous
  20. From a photographer... The MAC one is pretty good. and besides... Any professional photographer should be able to photoshop them out if you ask. They might do it for free if it's just a couple or they might charge you depending on how big the tattos are
  21. it's been ages i feel like since I've been on here.. 81,273 posts that I need to read through. I have some catching up to do hahhaha
  22. Well.. it's been a while since I was on here.... UPDATE... sadly she called it quits.. She wasn't up for moving out here and couldn't handle a long distance relationship... such is life i guess...
