I'm so glad people are mixing it up with color! I wouldnt have it any other way. Quote: Originally Posted by MissyR I tried on every dress too.. OMG the gym dont talk to me about that. I dont know what Im paying a montly fee for. I use to go 3-4 times a week Im lucky if I go 3-4 times a month now. With this switch in my job and running around with errands I barely have time anymore. Its so frustrating b/c I want to go. What to do. Quote: Originally Posted by becks Oh Michele!!! Finally pics of my first dress fitting a couple of weeks ago, my 2nd fitting in next week. I was so excited to finally put it on. Pictures were taken after he pinned the hem so you can see the scallop on the front part of the dress. So far no major alterations. I think Im going to ask to have the top taken in though a lot of empty space that I dont think I will miracuously be filling in anytime soon. Please ignore the comical look on my face its hard to smile properly when several family members are lurking at you hehe. The front: The back: I lurked the streets of Manhattan for several weeks to find the ribbon in the color and width I wanted (to match my shoes of course). The only place that had it (Phew) was M&J Trimming. I may end up using the ribbon that came with the dress for me and my BM bouquet. And here are my shoes, close enough match dontcha think?: Oh and thats not my veil I was trying to figure out length (im going for elbow), my mother is making it for me. Im super excited about that. I have been lurking the streets again to find lace trim.

You go Becks on that comped room, thats the way to make up for all the charges for the wedding hehehe. Cant wait to see your silk flowers LeShay. Im doing real but did consider silk at one point (for the bouquet and BM bouquet) I was worried about packaging them properly and the price was about equal to the real at the hotel. We are doing favors but we are waiting to buy something when we get there. We figured something local would be nice. Since we will be there so many days in advance I figure I could shop around and haggle. I didnt want to get too crazy since we are also doing OOT bags. Im so excited I received the damask fabric I had ordered from Etsy for the ring bearer pillow. If I have enough engergy I might do it tonight. Although I dont have the ribbon to attach to finish it but thats simple enough to do later on. I will post it when Im done.

I wanted to have the short square vases with tightly clustered coral roses similar to the photo nenamomo posted. Elisa sent me the vase options from the florist and I don't love any of them. She said it would be $70 per centerpiece. I told her I wanted to keep it around $50 and asked exactly how many roses I would get for $70 compared to $50. Her answer: 16 roses for $70 and 10 for $50. The bouquet I want is a tight cluster of coral and peach roses with jasmine scattered throughout. She said this would be $100. Nenamonon- I really love the damask wine holders that inspired you. Very chic. Will try and post photos of vase options and inspiration for my bouquet. replace the orchids with peach roses peach sample tiny photo of wrapped stems- doubt it will look like this, but I love it. Options sent from Paradisus florist-not a great variety and no super short ones! WOW your bouquet inspiration is beautiful. Cant wait to see the real thing. I cant believe you are leaving already. I would so be in panic mode right now. My family is helping us bring stuff down I dont have anything enormous (yet)maybe the vases are the biggest and I have already shoved them full with stuff so there is no wasted space. Have a wonderful magical time and share with us your pics and review upon your return. Im so excited for you!!

I love #2 its very classic looking. BY the way you look amazing in your dress. -
Mellisa I noticed you changed your name but I knew it was you hehehe. By the way I love your new signature pic its so Springy and pretty. LeShay was not kidding when she said beware of the prices for flowers. Since Im not a big flower person but knew I wanted flowers for our centerpieces I specifically asked for flowers that are easy to get and low cost options. The prices still didnt seem normal (rather inflated), but to have piece of mind I wanted them done by the resort so I would not have to worry. What do I know about arrangements/flowers NOTHING! Ok so here is the example of how I want them to look in a low vase bunched together Using chartreuse roses in some and white in others (for an every other table sort of thing) I bought these wine holders (clearance at Michaels there were only 2) which Im bringing with me and turning them into vases. I was thinking of putting one on the escort table and the other on the signature table. These vases are what started the damask theme I now have. In the above damask vases I have asked to put white and purple irises in them What does everyone think? Im dying to see everyone elses.

Hi all- The changes at work are killing me so Ive been lurking all week but didnt have time to write. Becks glad to hear you and FI are still travelling down it would of been nice to see you though. LeShay its good to hear you are happy with your DJ choices. If it means that much to you and your FI its money well spent. Thanks for the update on speaking with Victor. He was actually always repsonsive to all my emails but I started getting a bit worried after hearing what everyone else is going through. I just requested an updated playlist from him and he sent an Excel version so its much easier to work with. Its over the allowable posting limit so if anyone is interested just PM with your email address and I will forward it to you. Well Im off to get crackin' on my taxes this is the latest I have done them in years and years. I pray I get it over with soon plus its money I can put toward the wedding bills

Personalized Napkins?
nenamono replied to LadyCheese's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I am. But not personlized with our names/date instead I bought damask napkins to go with the damask theme I have but plan to only use these at the bar when drinks are served. And should there be any leftovers I have no problem using them at home Hopefully there are no leftovers though. -
Rachel's Planning Thread

Everything looks so fun I love your colors so festive. Have a wonderful time at your wedding cant wait till you get back. The DIY projects will look great in the photos. -
I stayed there also and had a great time. The breakfast nook was the most amazing thing in the world to me. The sad part was if they took it away before you go to enjoy eating it on your balcony. I do remember seeing a featured wedding there in brides or modern bride. Im pretty sure I saved the article so I will look when I get home. Sorry Im not much help.

Becks-OMG Im super excited and nervous all at once that you might be there the weekend of our wedding! Let us know when you decide and if you are dont be a stranger LeShay still no word on the other form of entertainment but I will keep you posted. I also asked Perla about substituting appetizers but she said no, that I could only add on at an additional cost. I might just do that. J-You should definately call again and email with CC'ing Perla, you should not be held accountable for a change fee when they have not gotten back to your several requests. Also def. look at Melissas excel files, they are super helpful. Ive been putting mine together and its great. So does anyone know if white chair bows are included? I only need them for the ceremony and spending $4 seems like a waste for 30min, I like the sound of Leshays find at $1 but Im not sure what I would do with them after the fact. Maybe we should share if we have the same color scheme.

Im still at work but I wanted to send my thanks to Melissa for posting these files. Im going to update mine tonight. They are super helpful. By the way I agree I love your hair short I wish I could wear mine like that!!!! Fabulous! On a side note Perla got back to me last night on some questions and told me that she is working on my detail sheet and will be sending is shortly b/c she needs to finalize the details by the end of the month. She said she has a lot of weddings next month and wont be able to give as much attention as usual. Has anyone else received the same message? I hope this is not set in stone she did tell me I can make changes a week before the wedding.

Diana If you sign up for a photobucket account, you download to pictures there and just copy the link under and paste it in the reply thread. I believe there are a few threads on how to do it. Thanks LeShay. Im asking Perla if I can substitute some of the appetizers for something else. Crossing my fingers on this. Here is the list of cold appetizers included in the Fantasy Package: Cheese Truffles with Chipotle Sesame Sauce Ham & Asparragus Roasted Cactus filled with Crab Assorted Cheese tray with Crackers Tuna Mousse on Toasted Rounds I was really interested in having fire dancers at the wedding, big bummer Perla got back to me and due to the Palapas at the resort we can not have them. She said she is waiting on some pictures of a show she thinks would be nice. As soon as I get them I will post them. I dont know about you guys but I need to get cracking on some of my DIY projects but most of the remaining ones are on hold until we get a head count. Which is about 3 weeks away. Im itchin' to finish though, but I did get a bit of head start and have all my templates ready to go in MS Publisher.

My Bridesmaids gifts.....I think?
nenamono replied to Dbld78's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Love all your gifts. I think if your budget allows for everything you have posted for all your girls then you arent going overboard you want to see them happy and show your appreciation. If you dont want to go crazy dont get anything more, what you have gotten is absoluting fabulous and you are also paying for their stays which Im 100% sure they are appreciative of. You are going to have some happy BM's on your hands
